Joia Bavaro by Iberostar

My experience here was beyond excellent and amazing. When we arrived we were quickly greeted by Jose who checked in on us throughout our stay, making sure that we were comfortable and happy with our rooms. The entertainment crew, Yeli, Sugar, Shaggy, Smiley, and Annie were fantastic, always raising fun and spirits for the guests. They always walked around, making conversation and connections with the guests. Everyone, those who worked in the restaurants, the swim-up bar and other bars, were always on top of things and friendly; checking in on people and making conversation and jokes. The grounds at the resort were always well maintained by the grounds keepers who would often say "hello" and "good morning" to anyone walking by. Additionally, the architecture was gorgeous and most definitely not dated. I loved this resort and can't wait to come back when I can!!!

The staff were fantastic. Everyone - from check-in, to housekeeping to the butlers to even the groundskeeping staff - everyone said hello, and were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Special shout outs to Ramon, Sherly and Francisco from Star Prestige, and our butlers Armando and Cofe! Armando and Cofe really personalized our experience and made this international trip the best one yet. The rooms were clean and beautiful. The food was fantastic. No complaints - Highly recommend JOIA! We will most certainly be back.

Where to begin. I’m not one to ever leave reviews, but I have a lot to say about this place. My husband and I decided to celebrate our wedding at JOIA Iberostar and it was exceeded anything we could have ever imagined. We had never seen the place in person so we just had to trust the photos and videos online so when we finally arrived and saw this place, OMG. ||The wedding: From the very beginning our wedding coordinator, Keila, made sure to make us feel so comfortable and at ease. She was so patient and thorough with everything. Working with her made this planning process so much easier. ||The grounds: The resort is so beautiful and peaceful but with the right amount of activities to keep you entertained. I felt like o had just stepped into a fairy tail. ||The Staff: We opted for the butler suite. Shout out to Cofe and Armando, they were so attentive and made our stay so comfortable and also extended to their services to our families. Even when we left, my husband forgot an expensive pair of sneakers and Armando helped us get them back. ||The food: The food was so delicious, especially in the Dominican restaurant. I made a special request for a meal and the chef delivered with those flavors, our guests keep asking about what seasonings were used because it was just so delicious.

Joia is a beautiful property with nice amenities. The common areas and grounds are all well maintained. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but the furniture is a bit dated. The meal choices were varied enough to accommodate all food types. Jose, our butler, was great. He was very kind, thoughtful, and took great care of us. The only downside we experienced was the constant pressure throughout the week to sign up for a sales meeting regarding Iberostar's travel club. If you politely decline when asked the first time, it would be nice to enjoy the remainder of your trip without another ask. We would purposely avoid walking through some areas of the resort to avoid the sales pitch again.

Junior and Valentine were excellent butlers. They were attentive to our needs and questions. They also did a very special thing for us one day with the help of the maid,Claudia, and had rose petals throughout our room. It was so thoughtful and such a wonderful surprise coming back to room after being out all day. Claudia cleaned our room to our expectations Irene was so sweet and did her job well, loved her. Our last breakfast she had rose petals on our table making it so special Julian did a fabulous job with the wine tasting

Our honeymoon at this resort was pure perfection, largely thanks to our incredible butlers, Edward and Reynaldo. While the property is stunning, their personalized service made the trip truly unforgettable. They were the definition of five-star hospitality, managing every detail proactively—from securing prime dinner reservations to ensuring our room was always perfect. We were especially touched by the romantic surprise decorations they arranged for us. Edward and Reynaldo are absolute masters of their craft. If you're celebrating a special occasion, you must request this duo! We can't wait to return.

This has been one of the best vacations we’ve been on and we travel often. The customer service was fantastic. Our butlers, Valentin and Junior were outstanding. They quickly addressed all of our needs and were very personable. Our waiter, Henry was amazing. His great attitude everyday made our trip all the better. Another member of the staff worth mentioning is Fernando. He found us everyday just to ask if we needed anything. I would recommend this resort to anyone considering Punta Cana.

I usually travel alone, but my birthday getaway to Joia Bávaro by Iberostar in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, was unforgettable! Booked through Costco Travel for $1,300 USD (flight, transfer, and accommodation), this top-tier resort is huge and beautiful. From sparkling pools and beach huts to unlimited poolside drinks and spotless rooms (5/5 for cleanliness!), it had everything I needed.|The beach was perfect for relaxing, and although some nights had dull shows, my birthday night at the lobby bar was lively — I even met people who celebrated with me! Dining was amazing with options like Japanese, Steakhouse, Italian, French, Dominican, and Buffet — all first-come, first-served except the Japanese restaurant.|The staff were super friendly, and 24-hour room service meant I never went hungry. Traveling alone, I still felt comfortable and welcomed. Would I recommend this place? Absolutely YES — perfect for solo travelers or anyone looking for a memorable vacation.
