Joia Bavaro by Iberostar

Everyone here was so nice! The room was amazing, they gave us an upgrade for a good deal. Housten and Jesus were my butlers and they helped out so much with every little thing. The views were gorgeous and the staff was amazing! Alex, Will Smith, Chocolate, and the rest of the activity crew were all amazing! The bartenders were all amazing. There was an amazing guy who got my wife and I drinks the whole time but I forgot his name :( He hung around and took orders by the edge of the infinity pool, hot tub, and the cabanas a lot. He was great!

I recently stayed at Iberostar JOIA and honestly, it was one of the most unique and relaxing resort experiences I’ve ever had. The property has this green, nature-filled vibe that you don’t see often. As soon as you walk in, you can smell the clean, fresh air, and you're greeted with cool towels and a homemade tea that includes honey from bees right there on the property. It was such a thoughtful and refreshing welcome. The resort itself is on the quieter side, which was exactly what I was looking for, though it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. That being said, if you're visiting for the premium food and drinks, this is definitely the place to be. The restaurants served prime steaks and lobsters that would easily go for over $100 in the States, and the bars were fully stocked with everything from Jameson and Jack Daniels to top-shelf Mexican tequila.

It was our first time going to an all-inclusive resort, and we are so glad we picked JOIA Bávaro. Our butler, Houston, met with us within the first 10 minutes after check-in. He was incredibly welcoming and put us at ease right away. Not that we had a lot of butler requests, but when we did Houston attended to them promptly and graciously. He kept us informed of daily activities so we did not miss anything, checked in with us on the daily, and when the butler service was transferred to someone else, he always introduced us to our next butler. He left us with multiple fun surprises to come back to after a long day of exciting activities. Safe to say, he made us feel like family.

Great resort….Only issue is the staff doesn’t speak good English. Everything else was great. House keeping was on point, cleaned my room at least 2 times a day. The food was great at the buffet. The other restaurants were ok, food was not that great. No reservations except for the hibachi. Top shelf liquior at the bar, the staff was great. The beach had to much seaweed, so could not enjoy the sea water. Pool area was clean, you have to get up early to get a cabana or beach chairs with umbrellas. I would highly recommend this resort for the price you can’t beat 8 out of 10

Our stay at Joia Bavaro Iberostar was nothing short of paradise! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome with their kindness and warm smiles. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality truly made our vacation special. The food and drinks were absolutely phenomenal — fresh, flavorful, and endless options to satisfy every craving. The entire resort is breathtaking, with gorgeous beaches, crystal-clear water, and beautifully maintained grounds. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy every moment. We cannot wait to return to this amazing destination. Highly recommended for an unforgettable getaway!

The experience was amazing. The Butler service, Armando/Houston, was outstanding and met every request made. The first day I requested extra water and ice, I did not have to ask for that anymore. My ice was refilled without asking. They did a flower arrangement for my wife, which included heart-shaped flowers in the Jacuzzi tub with bubbles. We were pleased with all of the staff, and many were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Glady at breakfast and lunch. You want eggs cooked to order, look for her on the grill. LeBron (AKA the Goat), we debated that l said, Michael Jordan is the Goat, he was in many places and very funny. Samuel, the waiter this gentleman was truly amazing every morning at breakfast. He remembered to get my wife a mimosa and to have ice on my table, coffee, and light cream. I never had to remind him or ask him for anything. Mr. Smile, thank you for the Spanish lesson and the archery lesson. Ms. Dai, thank you for teaching me how to play the game of tossing the balls, the dancing lesson, and your Twerking. Mr. Fritz, I cannot forget you. Thank you for showing and explaining all of the amenities of the resort. Thank you for everything.||We had the swim-out suite with personal butlers, Room 7034. They clean your room twice a day and refresh your towels. I have no complaints about this resort. I enjoyed everything about it. If you want a great cabana, look for number 45. It is surrounded by trees. So you get the shade and the breeze off the beach.

The property is BEAUTIFUL and the staff is so friendly and they genuinely cared about our experience. Our travel agency booked us a room that was supposed to have an ocean view but in reality only booked us a garden suite. The front desk rep, Rafael, worked with us to upgrade to the room we initially requested. The room included two butlers, Jose and Raloidy, were fantastic! We told them that we were celebrating our anniversary and they went out of their way to celebrate our marriage! The housekeeping was exceptional, the restaurants were fantastic but the service in every department made the trip memorable! Thank you to the entire staff! And we cannot thank them enough in particular, Ra and Jose!

We had an unforgettable experience at the resort, and much of that is thanks to our incredible butler, Jesus From the moment we arrived, he was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. He went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and seamless. Jesus was extremely detail-oriented—he handled all of our dining and activity reservations flawlessly, making sure everything was scheduled just the way we wanted. What stood out the most was how he helped organize a beautiful and thoughtful birthday surprise for our friend who was staying with us to celebrate his special day. Every detail was perfectly arranged, and it made his birthday truly memorable. Throughout our stay, Jesus anticipated our needs, checked in with us regularly, and made us feel like VIPs. His dedication and hospitality made all the difference—we couldn’t have asked for a better host!
