JOIA Bávaro by Iberostar

We had a wonderful time at Joia Bavaro! We were celebrating a belated honeymoon, and from our very first hour at the resort, we were treated with such kindness. We were upgraded to a swim-out room and assigned a butler, which made the trip feel extra special. Our butler, Reynoldo, was amazing—so friendly and attentive. Anything we needed, he was more than happy to help with. The restaurant food was incredible, the pool area was relaxing, and the beach was picture-perfect with little to no seaweed. Overall, the staff, food, and location truly blew us away. We would definitely come back!

My husband and I went to JOIA with a group of 6 of us and we had a blast. The resort was so much fun, had amazing food, and the service/staff were amazing. The rooms were nice, however the 'ocean view' wasn't really an ocean view so not really worth the upgrade. We did the butler service and both Eduardo and Victor went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. Snoop Dog and Sugar were really good at their job for the various activities that the resort provided. They were outgoing and hilarious. Altagracia made the best omelettes. I made sure to go to her everyday and she also helped me with my Spanish :) Henry was a great server. He would remember our group and was always checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. If you stay at JOIA, you have access to the 4 other resorts that are connected to it. There was a casino at one that had tables and slots and was a blast. The beaches were clean and always busy. I would highly recommend going to JOIA. We can't wait to go back!

We've come to this hotel three times. I got the oceanfront room, which I really liked. It has a butler, Eduardo, who is an excellent person. He brought me everything and gave me great service. The minibar was always stocked with drinks. We're so happy to be staying at this hotel. They even put plantain chips in the room. Everything is very clean and excellent. We have our concierge, Manoucheka, who is a wonderful and cheerful person. The bar staff, the pool staff, and the entertainment staff in the lobby bar are also great. They provide excellent service. This hotel is a paradise, and the people are so cheerful. I've brought my family here to this hotel three times, and my children loved it.

Great experience. Very high end staff. Felt welcomed the entire trip. Some of our favorites: Butler service: Eduardo and Victor. Both were super helpful for anything we needed. They were also looking for you to help with everything. Also communicated multiple times a day to make sure everything was going smooth. Breakfast: Altagracia was our favorite omelet maker. Super friendly!! My wife went back to her every morning. Entertainment: Snoop and Sugar were super fun and outgoing. Great people. Fun to talk with. Bartender: Ery. The Ery special drink was awesome. Just a ton of energy. Made sure your next beer was ready when you started heading towards the swim up bar. Server: Henry. Had multiple times. Just super friendly and fun to be around. Dinner spot: Japanese and Italian were our favorites. French was solid as well. Buffet selection was best on Thursday night. Coffee Shop: A must have. Overall resort was great. Beach was nice although we spent most of our time around the pool. Good atmosphere but not loud or overpowering. Great 5 nights.

Excellent 5 night stay at JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar. From the moment we checked in, we felt relaxed and well taken care of. We were greeted with a delicious welcome beverage and given a tour of the grounds by the wonderful concierge, Peter. We stayed in a swim out room and enjoyed the spacious, airconditioned suites. We dined at the buffet and all 5 à la carte restaurants - none require reservations aside from the Japanese restaurants. While all of them were delicious, Hashira and Casa de la Playa were definitely our favourites. Drinks were plentiful and service was friendly and fast. Special shout out to our butlers Reynaldo and Cofe for taking excellent care of us from the moment we arrived, Eliezar for providing the best beachfront service with a smile, and Perla for making up our rooms spotlessly and leaving gorgeous towel art! We are already looking forward to our next stay.

We just completed a week long stay at JOIA Bavaro and it exceeded our expectations! Everything was clean, inviting and fun. The staff made our experience exceptional! A spacial thanks to Reynaldo and Cofe for providing us the best butler services. They were very accessible and supported us with anything we needed during our stay. We enjoyed the hydrotherapy pools on a few occasions, which was an absolute delight. The food was always delicious! The live shows and karaoke were a lot of fun on the ship! Shoutout to the entertainment staff and to “Snoop Dogg” for creating an environment full of laughter. We also enjoyed bumping into Bruno often for drinks! Thanks to Jhonny for helping us pick out tasty bottles of wine. Everyone feels like a family here. We’ll be back!

This place is very elegant and so beautiful! The grounds are just gorgeous with so much greenery. We enjoyed the entertainment and activities during our stay. Special thanks to our butlers, Manuel/Victor and Valentin!! They helped us with reservations to the French restaurant they prepared special bubble bath to celebrate a birthday! Josue (he is awesome!) was so nice and helped us may times with special suggestions and super fun ideas! Also, special thanks to YaJaiRa, she make our room look perfect every time she cleaned. She took extra efforts in even organizing my mess!! Highly recommend! Everyone was so nice and knew us my our name. We hope to come visit the Joia again and again for many years!

This is a beautiful resort. I would come back in a heartbeat! All of the staff were so kind and welcoming. Reynaldo, our personal butler was fantastic. He checked on us multiple times during our stay to ensure we had everything we needed, and setup anything we wanted to do all without needing any additional reminders or additional follow up. This was an amazing trip, and I will definitely be returning to this resort again.
