From the outset, this hotel appeared to have everything going for it. The location is great, the rooms are modern and impeccably clean, and the amenities, including a fantastic rooftop pool, set a high expectation. Yet, a few significant and persistent problems ultimately put a stain on the entire experience.
The service during breakfast was a major letdown. In the first 3 days we faced an average wait of about an hour to be served, which was completely unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. It improved towards the last days, but still some wait, so we kinda "hacked" it by sending one person of our family earlier and ordering our food, so not everyone had to wait too long.
Another major issue was the shower, which was a daily struggle. We could never get a decent shower, as the water was either scalding hot or cold. Despite repeated requests to the front desk over the first three days, and the "explanation" given by the maintenance staff, the problem was never fixed, and we eventually gave up. This is supposed to be a 4-star hotel (?).
Finally, the beach service presented its own set of challenges. While chairs and towels were provided, umbrellas were not, forcing guests to pay extra for shade from the intense Miami sun. Additionally, the hotel's section of the beach was a considerable walk away. The reserved chairs area is aligned with the other Iberostar hotel that is located further down south.
It's a shame that such fundamental issues held back what could have been a five-star stay. Unfortunately, due to these problems, I would not be able to recommend or return to this hotel.
