We stayed here thru Hurricane Melissa and could not have been more impressed with their readiness and reaction. We never felt unsafe and they kept us fed three hot meals everyday. All of the employees were so kind and only cared about our safety even though they had no idea how their own homes or most importantly their families faired. What great attitudes! We have been trying to see if there is a family emergency fund that we can make a contribution to but no success thus far, if anyone has ideas please let me know. We had electricity and wifi during the entire stay, just incredible. By the time we were able to get out 5 days after the storm you had very little indication that a hurricane had gone thru as they started cleaning up the day after. We noticed local residents were sitting on the security wall after the storm and took us a bit to figure out that they were using the resorts Wi-Fi and they also allowed them to come inside the security gate to use the water tap to fill jugs. This was a great move on Iberostar’s part and they should be commended for these moves since the town had no phone connections or water. ||Iberostar is not normally our preferred choice of a resort but we were there as part of a family event. But because of how we were treated and how the employees all responded, we will return to an Iberostar property one day. ||Thank you to all for keeping us safe.

Asani really came in clutch when our driver fell through for a tour at last minute and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed while at the resort! Jean Pierre and Sharon were quick and friendly and always had the best service in the Little River Buffet! Aldin had the best drink and very informative while constructing the drink! Lashawna was very pleasant, always smiling and kept the room clean each time and does a great job! Skittles, V6, concrete and Tiffany kept the entertainment flowing and the good times rolling at the pool side each day! Chef Pais was fantastic at the Japanese restaurant! He was very friendly and entertaining made the whole experience more enjoyable.

I had such an incredible experience at this resort! There was always something fun to do. The entertainment team truly made the stay unforgettable. They were friendly, enthusiastic, and full of energy, constantly keeping guests engaged and smiling. A special shoutout goes to V6 from the entertainment team — he went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt included. His energy was absolutely infectious and really set the tone for an amazing atmosphere every day. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and cares about guests having a great time.

Absolutely Incredible Stay! The Entertainment Team & Staff Made It Unforgettable! I visited back in June and loved it so much that I had to come back this month and somehow, this trip was even better than the first! My expectations were blown away yet again from the amazing food to the top-tier entertainment. Chef Marcus over at Dutchies is an absolute legend his food is beyond delicious every single time! And I can’t forget to shout out Errol the bartender, who kept the drinks flowing and the vibes high all day long. He’s the best friendly, fast, and always smiling! And then there’s the entertainment crew truly the heart of the resort. V6, Redbull, Too Short, and Sparkles, you four are incredible! The energy, the fun, the way you connect with everyone you make each day feel like a celebration. The resort wouldn’t be the same without you! Can’t wait to come back again soon! This place just gets better and better every time!

I had the best time at the waves resort! I had so much fun I spent most of my time there instead of my resort. Mickey had the foam party jammin and I learned some new dance moves along the way. He’s amazing and the muscles are nice to look at too.

I first stayed here back in June and loved it so much that I just had to return and somehow, this visit was even more amazing than the last! From the fantastic food to the incredible entertainment, everything exceeded my expectations once again. Chef Marcus at Dutchies continues to impress! his food is simply exceptional every single time! And I can’t forget Errol behind the bar, who kept the drinks flowing and the atmosphere lively all day long. He’s quick, friendly, and always has a smile that makes your day better! Then there’s the phenomenal entertainment team: V6, Redbull, Sparkles, and Too Short. You four bring such energy, fun, and connection to every moment. You make everyone feel included and turn every day into something unforgettable. The resort just wouldn’t have the same magic without you! I’m already counting down the days until I can come back again! this place somehow gets better with every visit!

The resort itself is absolutely beautiful — the property, amenities, and overall cleanliness were top-notch. The rooms were stunning, with the perfect mix of modern comfort and island charm. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and our pool-view room offered breathtaking scenery every morning. The pool area was vibrant, and the poolside bar service and food were excellent — easily one of the highlights of our stay.||Customer service was a bit mixed. The lobby staff and several servers went above and beyond and made us feel very welcome. However, there were moments where the hospitality felt forced, lacking genuine warmth. A few bartenders and buffet servers were noticeably rude and often didn’t engage with guests at all, which was disappointing given the otherwise high standards of the resort.||The entertainment team was energetic, but unfortunately more focused on showcasing themselves than involving guests. Even more concerning, a few of the male entertainment staff made sexually inappropriate comments and gestures toward female tourists, leaving several guests visibly uncomfortable. Additionally, remarks made during activities — such as jokes about “white people not having rhythm” or “trying to look Jamaican with their tans” — were offensive and unprofessional.||Overall, the resort is stunning and well-maintained, with amazing food, comfortable rooms, and great amenities. However, the unprofessional behavior and lack of genuine engagement from some staff members made it difficult to fully enjoy what could have been an incredible experience.||This could absolutely be a 5 star resort if the customer service was more professional, kind, and genuine. Jovan at the barber needs a serious talking to about his attitude! Rohan was incredible!
