Basic room, clean and comfortable. If you’re looking for need a kettle pop to reception and ask. Breakfast was varied but was let down by the hot choices being cold. Parking almost impossible and had to use the nearby train station parking for 30CHF per day. It’s 10 minutes walk from the zoo which was a bonus I suppose

We stayed here for 1 night as we had an early flight to the airport. Room. Was clean on the small side but ok for one night. Girls on reception were very friendly. Bathroom was a shower. dispenser shower gel on the wall. 2 paper cups provided. Bed was good. We didn’t have breakfast as we left too early. Room was not the quietist we could hear the vibrations of the tram outside but it was fine for what we needed. 15 minutes to the airport less than 5 from train station.

Stayed two nights at ibis Basel Bahnhof. Room was clean and comfortable, great location near the train station and tram stop. Loved the free public transport pass! Reception staff are kind and helpful.Only issue was some confusion with the staff about canceling another hotel — still resolving it. Overall, convenient and good for short stays.

My stay at this hotel in the heart of Basel was fantastic! Despite being in the city center, the room was surprisingly quiet, offering a peaceful retreat. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had a great night’s sleep. The overall stay was very pleasant, with attentive staff and a welcoming atmosphere. The only downside was the tight parking, which made it a bit challenging to maneuver a larger vehicle, but it was manageable. good hotel!

I stayed two nights at ibis Basel Bahnhof. The location is excellent — only a 10–15 minute walk from Basel’s main train station, with a tram stop just outside. They also gave me a free transit pass, which was super helpful and appreciated.||My room was basic but clean and comfortable, facing the street but still quiet.||One issue: I asked the receptionist to help me cancel my next hotel booking in Dijon, and while they called and said it was done, I later found out I was still charged. It might’ve been a language misunderstanding, but it was frustrating.||Despite that, I found the stay comfortable, and the staff were generally polite. It’s a good option for short stays with easy access to transport.

Basel was at the end of our Viking river cruise that originated in Amsterdam. This was our first time in Switzerland and we only stayed two days. We wanted a location convenient to both "central" Basel and to the train to the airport. The hotel isn't exactly next to the train station. It's one long tram stop away. But the tram stop is right next to the hotel which made it easy to get everywhere we wanted. Lots of stores in every direction and easy to get to "central" Basel. The hotel: Imagination you were going to a business conference and the conference hotel was sold out - - and this was around the corner. It was good. The rooms were nice. Quiet. Not high end, but okay for what we needed after the Viking river cruise.

Central location. Breakfast was great. Disappointed as it got to 32 degrees and there was no air conditioning. The nights were warm and it wasn't easy to sleep. We were told to open a window, which in fact was a balcony door to a noisy street. I wouldn't suggest going when the weather is warm; however, no one expected it to be that hot at the end of May.

Small room and bathroom. One elevator only, you need to have some patience. but a small parking garage under the hotel is a plus, but there you need some luck. It's small too. Full is full. Staff regular friendly. The Basel card gives you free public transport, which is convenient. Saving the planet by not having the room cleaned everyday is an option. Not a must. Our aircon only made noise nothing more.
