The double standard room is quite small, but very clean, comfortable and nicely equipped. The personel is friendly and helpful. It's quiet and situated very close to the train station. For a 2 star hotel it offers more than expected.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and I attended a conference. The hotel location was ideal for both sightseeing in the city and travelling to the Convention Centre, which was 4stops on the tram. The hotel is located next to two tram lines to the city centre and convention centre. The free Baselcard presented by the hotel on arrival, permits unlimited travel all over the city. The hotel rooms were en-suite and very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We booked this hotel based on a previous recent positive experience of IBIS and the cost of the hotel, which seemed very reasonable compared to others in Basel. We made a very good choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and our room were both immaculately clean. Whilst basic and quite small, the room had everything we needed for a comfortable two night stay. The breakfast seemed quite reasonably priced compared to meals we bought during our time in Basel, you could have as much as you wanted, there was a pretty decent choice, and the food was good quality and tasted good. There is a tram stop outside the hotel with regular trams to the centre of the town. You can also walk to the centre in about 10 minutes, and the station in about 5 minutes, where you can catch the airport bus. Overall, this is a great hotel for a short stay and if we ever visited Basel again we would not hesitate to use this hotel again. Thank you.

Wallet friendly choice compared to other accommodation options. Reception staff was quite helpful and friendly. They offered us the Basel cards right after the arrival for the all kind of public transportation and museum passes. The room was clear and tidy in general but the soap dispenser was clearly not cleared after the previous person. It was a quiet stay.

This hotel is very basic, but OK and clean for one night stay to catch train next day. It is very close to Basel main station. It has only heating system in room. No air conditioning to make room cooler. It was uncomfortably hot in room for me who likes fresh air or a cooler room temperature. There’s no safe in the room and no decent restaurants close to hotel to have a meal, except one that is only Asian cuisine. I found the desk staff, one young lady in particular on day I checked out, unhelpful and rude. Was impatient and displayed irritation when I asked for advice regarding the train station. I would not stay there again. There are other hotels also close to the train station.

Excellent hotel close to everything in Basel and great transport connections. Staff are lovely and very welcoming, rooms having everything you need and are clean and well kept. Breakfast is continental and well stocked and there is a little bar if you want to grab a quick drink in the evening. This is fast becoming my "go to" hotel when travelling on business...... keep up the great work!

I have used the hotel before and found it to be convenient for both Basel SBB railway station and also for somewhere to eat and drink and the Markthalle which is just over the bridge. Staying at an Ibis you pretty much know what you are going to get so that was fine and also breakfast was pretty good considering.

Nice hotel just a short walk from Basel Bahnhof. Helpful staff. Room was warm, comfortable and quiet. I had paid extra through Booking.com for a room with a balcony with a view over the railway station. Admittedly I could see the very ends of the platforms if I looked right from the balcony, but it was disappointing.
