Had a very mixed experience. The breakfast food was good with a lot to choose from. The cleaning was on point. Also the employees from the restaurant and housekeeping were very friendly and helpful. On the other hand, the reception team was very unprofessional and uninterested to help every times. Never a single smile even when I said good morning when talking to someone, was barely looked in eye while talking to them, but when I a colleague came by they all of sudden got happy and chatty with them, and forgot that I was there in front of them. Lack of planing for guests that are staying longer then 1 night. I had originally planned for 3 night and then extended to 4, but even tho got a room on the 5 floor with a huge wall in front of my room, if I was there for one night wouldn’t be a problem, but staying more then one night is not as comfortable, so when I went down and requested to change, I wasn’t met with understanding, rather with a look of annoyance. Also happened when I was down there booking the extra night (which they didn’t even seem happy for it), the ladies on the reception were talking about getting wasted after their shift, so wasted that they would need to be carried home, very unprofessional! Also happened that passing by the reception I say the ladies standing there and eating. Also to add, that a hotel chain of this size, in such a big city and well located, I was expecting at least a basic level of English from someone, but nobody could a single word.

I stayed in this hotel for about 3 weeks during a work trip. Mostly my impression was good. Especially people working in the hotel restaurant in the evening (the waitress and the chef) are exceptionally good. However, some employees are not so great. Especially the older lady with short hair who worked at the hotel bar on many of the nights has very bad attitude- I don’t think this person should be allowed anywhere near the hospitality industry, since she has been doing everything she could to avoid being hospitable, inventing reasons for not doing anything requested by guests. As a Platinum member of the Accor chain, I stay in Accor hotels a lot every year, and I never had this kind of treatment.

Best experience after 7 years out from Brazil. The best team, the best people, the best breakfast and dinner. Super friendly and people always try to help you if you have some doubt. I just loved and felt very emotional when reached the day of checkout. Thank you all for make my experience the best ever. God bless you all!

Quiet, clean (room made up every day), good location next to Praca Liberdade and museums/art galleries

Booked via Accor app for 330 Reais per night for 3 nights, with breakfast.||Arrived around 3PM and room was ready. Service was a bit sullen.||Room was on upper floor, decent sized, but noted musky aroma when i entered which dissapeared once the AC was turned on. One big window, one very hard queen bed, one little frridge, one midsized wall mounted TV with only CNN has non portuguese channel (not even Spanish channels), work area with stiff chair, and semi clean bathroom with very worned towels.||Breakfast was OK but even with some variations, it was basically scrambeld eggs, loads of cakes (bolos), pao de queijo (delicious), breads, some cold cuts and cheese, and tubers (once yam, another time, very bland corm, cassava).||Very good location close to Liberdade park. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance as well as museums.

The rooms are super dated. It looks like the hotel needed massive renovations five years ago already. But the location is great. And the old house let, which is reception plus the restaurant, is gorgeous. The breakfast was pretty good, too, and service was friendly.

The location is very good. It's very easy to the supermarket and the scenery spots by walk.

The hotel is well localized and the heritage building is amazing. The bedrooms are too simple and the cleaning is not good. The bathroom smells bad, with a swage and humid smell. The room service, “cleaning” and tiding, is inconsistent, that means the house keeper will decide when them want or not to made the bed. It was my second time to this hotel and I don’t remember the things being that bad on my first time (7 years ago). I hope the things get better to this place otherwise I can see the hotel closing in a near future.
