ibis Blois Centre Château

Have stayed here once before and it is useful for the quiet rooms and the central location to the rest of the town centre, along with a breakfast for people staying there. Helpful staff for enquiries and other things that can be asked. Would come back here again next time are in town.

Have stayed here twice before and definitely the quiet rooms are a good thing as can be noisy out on the front area of the road, a good breakfast and other things that can be had here makes a good spot to choose for a stay here. Have been here for a few events and other things too that makes it a good spot to come to.

Took a shower on arrival, water leaking out into the bathroom noticed there was no seal on the bottom of the shower door. The air conditioner was not blowing cold air. Reported the problems to the reception, was told that they were waiting for the air-conditioner to be repaired. Because it was hot in the room we had to have the window open all night, but there was a lot of noise from the electric units outside so sleep was limited.

Rooms are compact but clean comfortable, shower works very well. Lovely staff and always available in the perfect location for us in the middle of Blois.

William and his team welcomed me with great lingual skills, respectful attention to my needs, along with a good knowledge of the local area. The location is perfect as other reviewers have said. My room was large, airy and very clean. The air con worked well. The room was quiet and dark even facing the street. William stored my bicycle safely inside on the ground floor in a special room. The breakfast was great with soya milk and good muesli A great hotel for cyclists on the EV3 and 6. 5 star experience

My wife and I stayed at this hotel during our bike tour in the region at the end of August 2024. We booked our room at the front desk, where we were warmly welcomed by William, who made the check-in process easy and our stay enjoyable. The hotel offers a secure indoor room for bike storage, which was very convenient. Our room was clean and exceptionally quiet. Breakfast was amazing, and the friendly lady managing it went out of her way to prepare scrambled eggs for us upon request.

I was in France on a solo bike trip, and I often stayed in ibis hotels, because of their great value, the availability of a place to put my bike, friendly staff, and great food. This was my favorite ibis of all. First of all, the staff was incredibly helpful. My French language abilities are extremely limited, and one of the staff there went out of her way to help me make a reservation for the next night. The location was fantastic, within easy walking distance of many great tourist attractions. And, as a bonus, I absolutely loved the vintage elevator.

Where art thou my lord?! Henceforth, I seek my lord, oui. The Royal Château de Blois is located in the Loir-et-Cher département in the Loire Valley, city of Blois, France. The most famous piece of architecture is the magnificent spiral staircase in the Francois I wing, which is visible from the outside. The Château is owned by the town of Blois, France. As per Robin Longstride (aka Robin Hood): "every man's home *IS* his castle!"

I'll get the worst out of the way first - it was advertised as having air conditioning. Air conditioning was not working. It was hot, I sweat all night. Too loud in the streets to have the windows open. We probably wouldn't have booked it in the busy part of town if it hadn't advertised A/C. Other than that, it's in a great location, that's probably the best part, walking distance to everything. The overall experience is a bit more basic than a traveler from the U.S. might expect, but maybe fairly standard for a mid range European hotel. The toilet paper was like grade school art class paper towel. No Kleenex to be found in the room. Towels were thin, soap bottles are locked down to make sure you don't steal them, shower head holder was loose and wouldn't stay up. Breakfast had a surprisingly good spread of food given the other places they seemed to be cutting costs. It'll get the job done if you need a hotel, especially if you enjoy being in the center of town, but be prepared to not get all you're paying for re: features, and you'd probably be better off trying something else, even a little further out, it's all very walkable around here.

You know what you will get: a small, but clean room to sleep in, a shower, and optionally a breakfast. Nothing fancy, no surprises. The location of this one is extremely central, you may even see the château from your window.
