As happy guests at this hotel on several prior occasions, we were disappointed with the standards on our recent 5 night stay here. Our room was serviced only once during our stay, despite a verbal request to the General Manager, who we noticed made a written note at the time. A staff member later told us it was supposed to be serviced every 2nd day! Secondly, our room (201) had at least 10 dead & alive insects (beetles, flies etc) from day one, all still there on our departure (photos available). Yet we had never opened our window. Thirdly, the TV was barely watchable due to the dark screen, which we were unable to adjust. Fourth, there were a number of dead & alive insects in the corridor outside our room from day one, including 2 giant live moths on the wall at a height of about a metre - one had visibly defecated, which had run down the wall, all still there on our departure (photos available). Lastly, we were charged a parking fee for each night, yet we noticed a removalist truck parked each night in the car park, which we presumed was a local resident as another same company truck was also parked in a nearby carpark - was this company charged a fee? Also, minibuses were allowed to park along the fence behind the closest carpark, which made reversing out of the designated car spaces difficult, especially the disabled car spaces. Perhaps the GM should do random checks of his premises, including the top floor - had he been doing this this he would have noticed at least the moths on the wall.
We now have grave reservations about staying at this hotel in future.
