The room was fine for a place to sleep. The bathroom was old and had a funky smell. The ladies at reception were lovely and helpful. The big downfall is the kitchen. You are not able to use it between 7am and 10am! This is when it is used to provide a continental breakfast to guests who choose to pay $13 each. There are no microwaves or toasters in the rooms, so be prepared to either bring a cold breakfast you can have in your room, pay, have breakfast early or late, or go out for breakfast. There are no plates or bowls in the rooms, these are kept in the kitchen so get some out the night before if you need them. There is a kettle and mugs, filling the kettle needs to be done using a mug as it won't fit under the tap. All things that can be overcome as you get what you pay for, but it's good to know before you get there.

Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Fridges and aircon worked perfectly. Bed was firm and comfortable. Realistically, it’s a very small space and wouldn’t be as comfortable over a longer stay unless you were only in you room to sleep….but for the price, it was well worth a comfortable enough one night stay while passing through Dubbo!

We stayed at Ibis Dubbo on 26/12, and the experience was so disappointing that we canceled our return booking for 31/12. The room was dirty, the bathroom was poorly maintained, the toilet was damaged, and the carpet was stained. There was no refrigerator, which is a basic amenity we expected for the price. To make matters worse, the property looked completely different from the photos advertised online, which felt very misleading. Due to this experience, we canceled our 31/12 booking at Ibis and instead chose to stay at Cumberland Motor Inn. The difference was incredible. Cumberland Motor Inn offered a clean, comfortable room with all the necessary facilities, including a refrigerator, at the same price. The staff were welcoming, and the overall quality of the stay was excellent – 1,000 times better than Ibis Dubbo. For what we paid, Cumberland Motor Inn delivered exceptional value and comfort, while Ibis Dubbo failed to meet even basic standards. We highly recommend Cumberland Motor Inn to anyone looking for a quality stay, and we hope Ibis Dubbo improves their cleanliness and facilities in the future.

Third time we have stayed. Aircon didn't work but they gave us another room. Both rooms had been cleaned however broken fittings, toilet seat needed replacing, empty shower soap, loose shower head, broken power point, tv required turning power off to turn off. Both rooms were over due for a paint and some love. Okay for $70 but not $100+ . I think it's now only 1.5 star but better than a caravan park.

First of all, no complaints about customer service or the front office staff, they are courteous and helpful. I understand this is a budget hotel, however I've stayed at IBIS Canberra, which was ok. I will not recommend the room 4 4-person stay if you have kids. It is just too small. The room, well I wouldn't call it clean. The carpet is so old and looks dirty straightway. Found some hair on the bunker bed, must have been left from the previous stay! The A/C unit probably existed from the 1970s! The bathroom exhaust barely works! The note on the door says 'not to leave the bathroom door open after a hot shower, it might spark the fire alarm''. My nightmare started when we saw two decent-sized spiders (the web existed for a few months I guess), crawling on the roof within 1 meter from the top bunker bed. You can see them when you are trying to sleep, making you wonder if they fall on you while you sleep!! My elder kid didn't want to sleep there, hence I slept on that spot. Wasn't a peaceful sleep. I didn't bother to complain. I suggest you pay a bit more and get decent accommodation somewhere else to enjoy one or two nights you are staying at Dubbo.

For the price the room is value for money. What made the stay really worth it was the kind and attentive staff - Sam in particular was very friendly, personable, and accommodating. I can only hope the management know what an asset he is. I was offered assistance bringing in my bags, if I needed any recommendations for local amenities, and Sam also said if I needed anything I could simply ask, and while in some hotels that just seems to be part of the service script, I really felt that it would be no problem to ask for anything extra I needed and was proved correct. This hotel has the service one would expect at a far more expensive hotel.

Obviously being a budget motel we didn’t have high expectations, however it didnt meet those. The main two issues were the advertised air con did not work. On a 38° day this was a major issue and made sleeping at night quite uncomfortable. Secondly, someone previously had covered up the smoke alarm with a disgustingly dirty sock. So dirty that I wasn’t game to touch it. Why a cleaner hadn’t removed that I can’t understand. The rooms were incredibly tiny but fair for the price. The venue was very noisy with other families running up and down the hallways and tv left blasting with doors open. Again budget hotel so partly expected. Air con should be fixed and disgusting socks removed from fire alarm - surely this is a massive safety issue also?

This would have to be one of the most smallest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. No bar fridge in our room so had to use communal fridge which gets locked up nightly at 10 pm so too bad if you have an early start for work as you can’t access the fridge to get your belongings out. The bed is so low to the ground. The water pressure in the shower is so weak, I can do something faster and stronger than the water pressure. Our room was not made up during the day whilst at work. No lift for people who are disabled or have babies to get up and down the levels. The price they charge per night is ridiculous that I would never recommend this place for anyone to stay at. The pillows were flat as a pancake that I felt like I didn’t have a pillow under my head. Thin doona that they place between your top sheet and another sheet. Small tv in the room you wanna hope you have good vision. Not to mention the cracks in the ceiling. No bed side tables. No ironing board or iron and no where to hang your clothes. Not worth the stay

Yelp
Great location, very friendly staff, small rooms but fine for overnight stays. Only disappointment was coming back after being out all day (8 hours) to find room service didn't finish our room

Yelp
