ibis budget Lausanne Bussigny

Good hotel. The room was small, but it was what we expected from Ibis budget. We only use the room to sleep and freshen up. Since the shower is located in the room, where whoever is in the room can see you standing there, it's not that handy if you're not a couple, but you can always go take a walk outside or sit in the reception or on the benches outside while your roommate is taking a shower. Charging the car went fine, always handy to be able to arrive with a low percentage and leaving with a fully charged battery. The parking space was just sufficient, I stayed above ground as the spaces underground seemed rather narrow. There is a bus station very close by that can take you to the train station in Rennes with good connections, the train station that can take you to Lausanne is a short walk away the other way.

Conveniently located close to the motorway. Very basic room facilities. Bed and shower with a toilet. Extremely small in size. No place for opening luggage. No one managed the underground entrance to the lift lobby at night even the bell was pressed for so many times. So after parking, required to walk upstairs to enter the hotel through the main entrance. Very inconvenient.

The photos on TA are very accurate. The rooms are tiny, but bed big and comfortable. We liked that the sink, shower ( good water pressure) and toilet ere all separate. Cleaning ok except for a hair grip on the floor..not mine. Big problem of noisy traffic…had to sleep with the window shut the second night. Parking was only 7Chf ( above or below ground). |Staff we found very helpful. Breakfast, for 15 CHF per person, served 6-10, we found very good. Cook your own boiled eggs, several choices of bread, one kind of ham and cheese, croissants, yoghurt, jams and honey and decent coffee. We sat outside on the patio in the sunshine. Cheaper than other local hotels..I would use it again.

Perfect if you need parking — plenty of spots and a very reasonable 7 CHF/day. The towels, however, are so tiny they barely make it halfway around your belly… definitely the wrong place to cut costs! 😄

Extremely disappointing stay – would not recommend. This hotel is extremely far from the city, and the location is completely impractical. 17 min walk from the train station 🤯. The facilities are very uncomfortable, and there is no accessible transport nearby — something the hotel fails to clearly mention when you make the booking. I tried calling several times to get help with directions, and no one could provide any useful information. The breakfast was terrible and outrageously overpriced — just packaged industrial pastries and nothing fresh or worth the cost. Overall, I had a very bad experience and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very noisy ventilation in the rooms, not a single shelf or cupboard for clothes. Throw-away salt, pepper and some plates at breakfast. Opposite of eco-friendly. Strong scent of plastic. Lots of overflowing ashtrays outside in the rain. Wi-Fi is good though.

The room was small but fine and clean. The mattress was too hard for us. The check in experience was average (bored employee late at night). The check out experience was better. If you come with a car you will be charged an extra 7 CHF per day.

Compact rooms that meet all needs. Very well designed.
