ibis budget Lugano Paradiso

This is an excellent choice of budget hotel. The rooms are very samll but perferctly clean and functional. The location is also very good, about a 5 minute walk from the lake and promenade and not so far from the town centre - easy walking distance. If you are on a budget then this is the pace to stay in Lugarno and very good value by Swiss standards.

Location accessible to the lake and the funicular of San Salvatore. Room is small and bathroom is transparent. The breakfast buffet is delicious and cost 21 CHF.

Not sure where the bad reviews come from, but if you accept that the room is really basic (which you should for a budget hotel), you have everything you need and the location is really nice and quite close to the center. Would come again for any day.

Great hotel, lovely people working there, the only hotel for me in Lugano, i would not change even for a more expensive hotel.. Give it a try, i have been there many many times, cant wait to go back, see you soon. Thank you for every time i spend with you. Regards Glenn.

Quite strange room with an old uncomfortable beds, but breakfast was great and you can get the Tichino card there.

truly false advertisement… do not spend your money here! They advertise that the rooms have air-conditioned systems but they are controlled by the hotel and the rooms are hot and smell bad. We immediately returned back to the lobby and asked to pay more for a different room however they said no. They said no to turning the air down. Only one electrical outlet in the room and too small for converters so they try to sell their personal adapter. Bought air freshener in order to make it through the night and all that is additional money that could’ve been spent on a better room or hotel.

Rooms are with thin walls,small and they feel old. Also my bed had an attached bunk-bed above which I did not request. I hit myself multiple times on this thing either while in bed or reaching down to my nightstand. I hope you have a metal plate in your skull. Also, it seems that it is becoming typical to all ibis hotels to have a certain smell that they cannot get rid of. Likewise, the doors on the bathroom and toilet are not actual doors more like western style saloon doors. The shower was not an actual space more like a cabin attached to the room.
