Rooms: 1 star - avoid at all cost if you highly vulnerable to allergies. My partner and had a very poorly maintained room on floor 13. The room was highly concertrated with chlorine (bleach). The AC was fully covered in dust and upon entry of the room..The AC was enabled. Circulating dust, chlorine. The room did look clean however there were also water droplets covering the entire wall on the window side. The hotel staff said it's because of the hot shower, which is a completely different partition, and 3 metres away from the exterior side of the building. Our clothes and luggage was soaking wet. We moved to a different room located on the 15th floor, whislt the AC ventilation filter remained fully covered in 2cm of thick dust. Please avoid it's not worth the money. As the staff said they are currently under refurbishment. It's ridiculous that the hotel is still under operational use. My partner and I are still severely ill, returning to the UK and we have spent £50 on medication between us. Exposing us to dust mites, inflamed throat and nasal problems. Hotel food is overpriced more expensive than your local restaurant and supermarket. £4 for a bag of ruffles crisp, and £11 for a microwave cheeseburger. We stay for 3 nights visiting family and friends in Sao Paulo.

Awesome location, friendly and polite employees. Room was good for the price you pay, clean, with a comfortable bed, toilet and a great shower. There is a TV with basic local channels, air conditioning, a table and a chair. Good atmosphere, and modern decorations. My only complaints would be that the room is slightly dark, lights are not very bright. Also, even though is budget friendly, they should give shampoo for the shower (soup is available). Still, I recommend and will come back if around the area.

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night. On the morning of checkout, around 9:00 a.m., a housekeeping staff member entered my room without knocking or announcing themselves. This interrupted my sleep, and I was unable to fall back asleep before checkout. Unfortunately, there was no "Do Not Disturb" sign available in the room — I noticed this the night before and had no way to indicate my preference for privacy. Regardless of the missing sign, I believe it is unacceptable to enter a guest’s room before checkout without at least knocking. It seems this may be related to your express checkout process, where guests leave their room keys in a box — possibly leading staff to assume rooms are vacant unless a privacy sign is displayed. If so, this system needs to be reconsidered, as it risks compromising guest privacy. Aside from this issue, I found the location to be good and the price very reasonable for the area. However, I would be hesitant to stay again unless this aspect of the guest experience is improved.

Ibis Budget São Paulo Paulista offers a very convenient stay right on Avenida Paulista, close to metro stations, bars, and restaurants. The room was small and basic but the bed was comfortable. Despite being in a busy area, outside noise was not an issue. The main drawback was the loud water sounds from neighboring showers early in the morning. Overall, it’s good value for money, especially for a short stay in São Paulo.

A Budget-Friendly Stay in a Prime Location This hotel is a a good choice for travelers seeking a cost-effective, no-frills, clean, and hygienic stay. Designed for short visits, it provides a compact space to freshen up without unnecessary extras. The rooms are neat, well-maintained, and hygienic, ensuring a pleasant experience. Whether you're on a quick business trip, a layover, or just need a brief retreat, this hotel offers a practical and hassle-free stay. One of its standout features is its prime location at one end of Paulista Main Avenue, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. One can enjoy easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and transportation options, adding to the convenience of the stay. While it may not boast luxury amenities, its affordable pricing, efficient service, and strategic location make it a great option for budget-conscious travelers looking for simplicity and reliability.

I arrived at the hotel at 7 am after a long flight and the receptionist couldn't find my reservation because she wasn't performing the search properly. She took some time while searching by name, surname and even the booking number from despegar.com I was given a room which greeted me with an open window in the middle of winter. There's no heating and no extra blanquets. The water faucet, when opened, shot water outside the basin because of a thin water stream pointing sideways instead of downwards. There was no shampoo nor body gel in the shower, just the two small soaps left by the hand basin. There was no free drinking water in the reception which is something other Ibis budgets have. Charging to store luggage after checkout is also something I did not consider hospitable. All in all, I did not have a nice experience in the hotel.

Great hotel, good value for money. Mattress was ok’s, not great (too thin) but the room was small but ok. Breakfast was very good and the location is great. It is next to the underground and walking distance from bars and restaurants.

For the price: Small Room - OK No safebox, no fridge, no additional appliances - OK No wardrobe - OK Not OK: Only cold A/C, no heat. Fairly window temperature isolation No extra blanket On the last day the beds were poorly done, with all the blankets ahd sheets just thrown over both beds. Result: Very cold at night. Even after asking for additional blankets the air in the room was so cold that we didn't sleep well.
