The hotel is large and spacious, with a cozy and clean interior and a pleasant atmosphere. The location is excellent – you can easily walk to the airport, which is very convenient. In terms of value for money, it’s hard to find anything better. However, there are a few areas for improvement: 1. Parking – on-site parking over booked and full for 35$ per night . When I asked the reception what to do, I didn’t get a clear answer. They told me that parking was only available at the hotel or at Burger King (with a risk of getting a fine). In reality, there is free parking just 500 meters away around King Street, but no one mentioned this. 2. Housekeeping – I stayed for two nights in, but there was no cleaning service between the first and second day, and I wasn’t informed about this. As a result, I had to use the same towels, which is not ideal. If daily cleaning isn’t provided, guests should be informed in advance. 3. Status guest benefit – as a Silver member, I received a voucher for a free drink. When I tried to use it for a coffee, I was told I needed to pay an extra $3.50. This seems odd and goes against the idea of a “free drink.” Overall, the hotel is good, but with better communication and service at the reception, it could be excellent.

My sister and I recently stayed here and were pleasantly surprised at how far this accommodation has come. We had a room with 2 single beds and ensuite. It was clean, beds were comfortable, had a tv and was a very well sized room. Close to airport and has shuttlebus. We can highly recommend this establishment and will definitely stay again.

Easy access ( even by walking ) from the airport. Took us about 20 minutes fully loaded with bags etc. Clean and tidy, helpful, friendly staff. Basic rooms, but comfortable - no frills - we stayed 2 nights. Cooked breakfast / meals can be obtained at Mantra next door if you wish. If not already booked, can get shuttle transfer to / from airport for $12 pp ( could work out cheaper than taxi ).

Basic budget hotel for a night’s stay between domestic flights in Terminal 2.  It is walkable about 15 - 20 mins distance with luggage pulling along the way.  A Sydney airport terminals shuttle is available at A$12 that runs every half hour or so at its neighbouring sister hotel called Mantra that provides food and beverage as well for Ibis guests.  The buffet breakfast and dinner are of good quality.  There’s a self service coin operated laundry and hair dryer is also available there (not provided in room).  Hotel is in need of some renovation and facilities update but for this price and if it’s just a short stay no complaints.

Really great budget hotel! The rooms were clean but the bathroom does make a lot of noise. It seems to be coming from the piping. Also noise that comes from the concrete walls kept me up at night. Nice staff, letting us check in early.

Great location beside Airport, Krispy Crème, other fast food places. Friendly staff, rooms clean. Should offer free water in rooms. All hotels should. Down fall, got woken by evacuation alarm as some muppet didn’t pay attention to sign showering & steam let smoke alarm off. Not nice once you’re already asleep. Took hours to get back to sleep for 1.5hrs before getting up for flight….So not the best experience unfortunately! For an Uber to terminal it’s $50…. But we paid $12 for a shuttle bus, leaves 5am sharp… book & pay night before via reception desk! Great price for location. Has a laundry as well as lounge area / dining tables for guests. No food service there but plenty around area.

An adequate, budget friendly accommodation close to the Sydney airport. It is walking distance to the domestic terminal (maybe 15ish min walk), or there is a shuttle that you can book for $12 per person, which departs from the mantra hotel next door and leaves at specific times. We walked to the hotel after landing, and took an uber to the international terminal the following morning, which was a faster and more cost effective option for multiple people. It’s close to several fast food options, and the Mascot train station is approximately a 20 min walk away. The rooms were run down but clean, and it was surprisingly quiet for an airport hotel. I would absolutely stay here again if transiting through Sydney.

Not all Ibis Budget hotels are bad. I've stayed in another Ibis Budget hotel near the CBD of Sydney, and the service, the room, and the location were all excellent. However, this hotel is absurd. First, the rooms are budget. I have nothing to say about that. Secondly, the location is very far from the bus station, train station, and the domestic airport. I was carrying heavy luggage, and the hotel requires a 15-minute walk from the train station. Without a car or a taxi, you are never going to arrive at the hotel easily. Thirdly, this hotel's service is THE WORST I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. When I was checking in, the staff were chatting. They gave me a wrong room key. I went to the staff for a correct key; they were STILL chatting, telling me that it was my own problem, and they gave me the SAME WRONG KEY again. After another attempt at opening the door, I realized the truth. I angrily stomped back to find the staff again. After they found out that the key was wrong, they said it wasn't their fault. I was so mad that I took a picture of the room; my family member was in that picture, and the staff said IT WAS of HER. She threatened to call the police if I didn't delete the photo. Some Ibis Budget hotels are absolutely great, but this one is absolutely NOT!

Yelp
I was trying to give this zero stars, or a half a star, but the minimum is one star. This place is filthy! The cups in our room were dirty, the rug was dirty with hairballs, there was dust on the mirrors above the bathroom sink. At US$200 per night, this was terrible. I'm not posting pictures because it's so disgusting. Oh, and it took me forever to post this review because the Internet is slower than one bar on the cellular network!

Yelp
We are staying here now and the room is so hot I can't sleep so I figured I'd go ahead and review. My initial opinion is that it's not bad for a budget hotel. The room and bathroom are small and bare but it was relatively inexpensive and it's close to the airport, which is handy for our morning flight. The TV has a lot of channels and there's a Krispy Kreme next door if you're craving a late night donut. It is also pretty quiet despite being by a busy street and quite a few guests. BUT - this is definitely a situation where the proverbial devil is in the details. The hotel advertises a shuttle but fails to mention that it's $10 per person. {Hint: Uber is $15 for up to 4 people, and you're not restricted by the shuttle times.} The USB plug in our room is broken, which is really annoying. The pillows are small and flat, and the shower floods the whole bathroom. The biggest issue by far, though, is that it feels like we are sleeping (well trying to sleep) on the surface of the sun. It's 26 degrees (79 Fahrenheit) and despite blasting the AC for the last few hours it's not budging. It's only 15 degrees (59 Fahrenheit) outside but the window doesn't open so no breeze. At this point I would consider opening the hall door but it's a sauna out there too.

Yelp
I would never come here again unless they do renovations and double the size of the room And add in extra power outlets. Booked a room with the ABILITY to sleep 4 people and we couldn't even fit all the luggage in here without walking all over it. We didn't bring in much for luggage. There was 1 power outlet but it was on the other side of the room and it was a tiny shelf so you didn't have enough room to charge everything. As well, there wasn't enough power outlets to charge everything. The toilet and shower room was so small you could barely even fit one person in. The sink was in with the shower. We tried checking in 30 minutes early they wouldn't let us. They offered to put the luggage in a secure area so we could go tour Sydney. The problem was IT WASN'T a secure area. It was unlocked and not monitored anyone had the ability to go in there anytime and get stuff. Thank God all our luggage was still there. I ended up having to go and book a separate room, because there wasn't enough space for everyone. I ended up having to pay more money than I should've had to pay because they didn't give what they should've given in the first room. The second room I got, which was just for myself and had one queen bed in it. It had three charging stations both for a regular power cord, as well as USB. Tons of luggage space. The bathroom was a decent sized. It only had a shower no tub but that's fine. A standard queen room was a decent room. But their room which was supposed to be larger to fit more people wasn't larger at all. It was like they took the Standard queen room and it's size and just took space away from the washroom to fit a queen and two twins. Which is why there was no floor space cause they didn't add in the extra room that was needed. They just tried to add an extra beds, which then created. No floor space as well they took away power outlets. Definitely not worth the money I feel like it's more of a money grab and they don't make it plain and clear that the larger room is not actually larger. I'm surprised the room with the ability to sleep, for people, did not break some sort of fire code or regulation.

Yelp
I was supposed to be there longer but I checked out on Sunday due to the state of the room. The cleaning standards were really poor budget would mean poor cleanliness the duvet had no covers, a massive open vent/hole right above the shower that wasn't covered, and extremely dirty. The key card was highly temperamental to the point where I had to go to the front desk multiple times to fix my card.

Yelp
Grim. Overpriced hostel really. Very basic. Bathroom flooded and was very smelly. Sheets were clean but minimal bedding. Incredibly noisy air conditioning. Do yourself a favour and spend another $25 to stay somewhere you can actually relax.

Yelp
The flashing red light advertised $149 but I paid $129 and that included breakfast. You are flat out getting anything else cheaper within 10 min walking distance to the domestic terminal. It is what it is. The rooms are very small with a tiny bathroom. After reading some pretty terrible reviews juxtapositioned with a few good ones I decided to give it a go. It was going to be cheaper than a taxi to the airport. Firstly, I took the towels out of the bathroom and hung them up in the room. There is no wardrobe just hanging space. The towels are OK for one shower. There is water everywhere after a shower. The TV is big and if you like laying in bed and watching it then you will be in heaven. The bed is reasonable. The view out the window is another building. It is amazingly quiet. The odd banging door and loud conversations in the corridor are about it. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise with a barista, cheese, ham & eggs. Easy walk to the airport so all good

Yelp
Budget! Seriously! The room was so small. The bathroom was smaller. The sink was in the shower. Had to get new cups as all the cups in the room were dirty. Hot water was intermittent. The good points: Bed was clean and comfortable Soup smelled nice Close to airport It was last minute and we got the last family room. Slept four. Very small. $239

Yelp
Aircon didn't work. No hairdryer. TV remote batteries flat. No extra pillows. No advice re shuttle service and when our taxi came and asked for us at the front desk they didn't even ask it to wait (we were in the lift). You get what you pay for...
