ibis Chur

Prior to check-in, we received an email asking us to check-in online so they can prepare the room key for us. Excellent Upon checking in, the lady reception at Ibis Chur is very friendly. She shared with us a few places to shop and visit for one day. Also, we didn’t know about the free pass for all public transport until she sent the link for my friend Yvonne and for me. The location of the hotel is a short walk from the bus stop. And getting around town is easy. The hotel room has a balcony facing the mountain behind. Lovely. The shower is hot which is good. The aircon is working fine too. The reason why we stay one night in Chur is to catch the Bernina Express Train early the next morning at 8.19am There is breakfast provided and I love the cheeses, bread, oranges, salad. A pity there is no chicken ham as we do not eat pork as pork contains lots of parasites. Accor always gives us welcome drink for two persons

Stayed here for one night. Just a 2 minute walk from the bus stop. Has a McDonald’s which is convenient for a late night meal. Rooms were clean, comfy beds, the bathroom was nice, great water pressure and hot water.

When booking using the Accor app and website, we were confused if the Junior suite would be suitable for three adults. We ended up booking another room. Also there is no description or warning on the app/website that both 4th and 5th floors are inaccessible by elevator - not good if you are trying to drag very large and heavy bags up tow flights of stairs. There was also a sewage smell that permeated throughout the entire hotel for the first night. The smell wasn’t as bad the next day/night. Part from these issues, we had a pleasant stay and the room were very good.

Sandro and Iván provided an excellent customer service! The internet has issues and Sandro went above our expectations by finding another room in a partner hotel Mercure City West. He personally handle all the arrangements, walked with us to the hotel. This was an exceptional experience! Will recommend Ibis and Mercure Chur to anyone! Thank you Sandro!

We have booked 2 nights at this hotel and everything was going well. However, we woke up this morning with no hot water. Reception advised engineer is working on the problem as the whole hotel has no hot water this means we are sat in our room waiting to shower and has ruined the start to our day....and its my birthday ☹️

Staff were friendly and the hotel seemed nice enough but there was a foul sulphuric smell upon arrival and around midnight there was someone on our balcony outside, we heard another guest shout at them and then saw someone run past our window across all of the balcony's outside, as they are all attached and have gates to access each one. 2 doors down there were a group of males who were all loud and smoking cannabis which stunk the whole room out, which we can only imagine it was them who were wandering around people's balcony's. As 2 females travelling alone we felt very unsafe and had to call reception in which a gentleman came up to have a look and went to speak to them. We do not know the outcome as we never heard from him after he left. A sleepless night later we checked out the following morning. An unpleasant stay in Chur put abit of a damper on our trip which had been fantastic so far.

We stayed in IBIS CHUR for one night to catch Bernina Express in the morning. The room is over priced. Its very very small for 2people. There is no electric kettle available. You will get it with a deposit money of 30chf which is reqlly weird. Breakfast options are very limited. The lobby has a smell of clogged drainage. There is nothing much to do outside the hotel specially on Sundays.

This hotel is seriously overpriced. We're paying €200 a night for two people, and that doesn't include breakfast. The room is small, too. And don't even get me started on the beds—they're two separate beds pushed together, so you have to be careful not to fall in the gap. While it's clean and well-kept, the prices are absurd.

Let's keep in mind this is a 2-star hotel, so this is a very good 2-star hotel. I want to especially point out the very friendly lady organizing breakfast. By day I was recognized and things were very friendly and accommodating. I really appreciate the friendliness, especially in "just" a 2-star hotel. Coffee-maker in the room and a table on the balcony (with lovely panoramic view) would make this a top-notch hotel within its class.
