Absolutely stunning views! From the moment we checked in, the panoramic view of the bay from our room became the highlight of our stay. Whether day or night, the skyline was breathtaking — easily one of the best views I’ve ever had from a hotel.||||The room itself was modern, clean, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive, which added to the overall positive experience.||||That said, a few things could be improved. The bed was much firmer than I prefer, which made sleep a bit less comfortable. The nearest metro station was also quite a walk — something to keep in mind if you plan on exploring the city via public transit. And during peak times, the elevator wait could get frustratingly long.||||Still, the incredible view made up for most of the drawbacks. I’d gladly stay here again just to wake up to that skyline.

Alright location but still have to walk 600 metres plus from nearest mtr, a bit far if you have luggage. There's an affordable food court around the corner which has some great food. Convenience store across the street too. Room was harbour facing , nice view although mine was partially blocked by some flats. Cleanliness was top notch, very clean bathroom and linens. No amenities like gym or self service laundry which is a bit sad.

Thanks Chris upgraded my room after he acknowledged i am a member even though I booked my room with the travel agent platform. Great service and thanks for his flexibility. Location is great. Surrounded by tram and bus stations. I really enjoyed my stay, but the room condition can be improved. The drainage was quite slow.

I booked this hotel mainly for its convenient location. While the property does show its age, the most noticeable downside was the gym, it’s quite undersized given the number of rooms. I was assigned an accessible room, which was more spacious than a standard room, but it came with a few plumbing issues. The bathroom would flood after a single shower due to poor drainage, and the toilet clogged twice during my 10-day stay.On the bright side, the staff were very responsive. Each time I reported the issue, they sent someone to assist within 30 minutes, which I really appreciated.

So glad I chose to stay at the Ibis!   The room was big enough for 2, and very affordable for HongKong.   The AC was cold, the beds comfy and the showers hot.   Location was unbeatable, esp. a 5-minute walk to the A11 Airport shuttle, which runs every 20 mins!   Close to bus and subway stops.   Sheung Wan area is busy, with many restaurants and shops.   The staff was professional and helpful, though not fluent in English.   Breakfast was good, though long lines during peak hours before 9 AM. but staff helped to move people in/out fast.   It's a good choice, at a very reasonable rate, and I will stay there again on my next HK trip.

Room was upgraded due to ALL Accor membership with early check in provided. Front desk check in service was excellent. Room size sufficent for solo and is clean with partial sea view. Starbucks at ground floor was too crowded. 2nd time staying at this hotel - definitely recommended. Small issue re the lifts not serving all floors, but waiting time is still ok

Google
good hotel located near centre tram lines run outside to both sides of the city. Room was small but clean with a harbour view. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good plenty of choice eggs, fruit, yogurt, mini bread to toast, coffee etc. Bed was firm, but comfy can request extra pillows.

Thank you Chris for arranging a 31/F family room for my family and a late check out. Stunning sea views! Came from Macao and stayed at Ibis just a night with family. Great location and near the ferry terminal. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
Hong Kong has reserved a special spot in my heart. I was a first timer in Hong Kong, and had an overall wonderful experience during my stay The rooms were small, but was super clean. The size of the room was not a big deal for me since I figured I'm only there to freshen up or sleep. Hong Kong has reserved a special spot in my heart, and one day, I will visit once again.

Yelp
This hotel offers a good value for the price and location, and I am glad we stayed there for our 5 nights vacation in Hong Kong. I would recommend paying a little extra to get a room with a view of the harbor which I think makes this Ibis an especially nice deal. The room is comfortable, not very large but that's common in big cities unless you want to pay a lot more. The staff was friendly and efficient, breakfast offered good coffee and a nice selection of food. The hotel is about 8 minutes walk to the central MTR station, which we also found convenient. Their free airport express minibus from Hk station to the hotel is also nice. We used it both ways, when we arrived and left, which was a big help. Another nice touch, as the water in Hong Kong is not drinkable, they have a free fountain in the lobby to refill your empty bottles. There is a Starbucks on the ground level (the lobby is on the 4th), which we did not use but seems quite popular. I definitely recommend this hotel and would go back.

Yelp
The prices for hotels in Hong Kong were outrageous when we were there, so we were happy to find this moderately priced spot super close to public transport and a short walk to the MTA. The rooms are definitely on the smaller side. We sacrificed luxury for convenience as we knew that we were only going to be using the room to shower and sleep. But if you're not a fan of beds on the firmer side, then you should probably look elsewhere. One thing to note, housekeeping was pretty spectacular and we felt like the room was super clean. We had the option of paying a little more for a harbor view, but again, we saw it so much while walking the city, we were fine being creeps and staring into the adjacent apartment windows for free. Service at the front desk was beyond helpful. I also liked that you could book airport shuttles and buy tickets to some of the local attractions so that you knew you were purchasing from a legit reseller than just some shop on the streets. Highly recommend as it saved us a lot of time in line when visiting the Big Buddha and utilizing the cable cars. I was a big fan of the Starbucks in the lobby. Since I was on a bunch of different time zones, I was happy that I could walk downstairs to get some coffee regardless of when I woke up. Mid-mornings are usually always busy, so be patient. They have some restaurants on property that we never used, but there are quite a few places adjacent to the hotel for groceries, snacks and late night eats too! Would stay again to save some moola!

Yelp
Sheung Wan Ibis was an average hotel in a average location. The harbour view is why I chose this place and it is lovely of course, but the rest of this hotel is like living in a decades old dorm room. The walls are dirty and paint chipping off, the linoleum floors are coming apart and tearing away due to moisture, and there is lots of visible black mold in the bathroom. Things are just kind of falling apart and they don't keep the rooms very clean (at least not according to my standards). Or perhaps they sweep and mop, but things aren't really...spotless. The grout in the bathroom tile is stained and in bad shape. The cushions on the bench are worn and dusty. I just don't like to see walls with dirt streaks on them. The towels were OLD and fraying at the edges. Sigh. We woke up around 9:30-10p when we arrived cause we were so jet lagged, and went out looking for food but couldn't find anything good open at that hour except for McDonalds. The hotel bar and restaurant service has their last call around 9:30p. So basically we went hungry for a night cause everything around here closed so early! It's quite a dirty area too, with a mix of cigarettes and trash strewn around the sidewalks and gutters. I normally am fine with a Holiday Inn or one of the other big chain budget hotels, but the Ibis Sheung Wan is quite a terrible value given how much we paid. The staff here are friendly and fairly helpful, and the AC always worked well. Housekeeping was good and we had fresh linens and towels every day. I liked that there's two trolley stops (electric double decker buses) right outside the hotel. This is a MUST if you don't want to walk all the way to Sheung Wan station everyday. It's only like $2.70 HKD which amounts to like $.30 usd. Cheap, fun, and easy to ride! Other tips: If you have a few luggage items you can take their free airport express minibus from Hk station to the hotel directly. You can't miss it once you alight at HK station airport express terminal. Be forewarned though: this is an old minibus where you have to bring your luggage up a few steps onto the bus with no help whatsoever. I highly recommend taking a taxi to the hotel which costs only about a mere $40-50 HKD if you have quite a few pieces of luggage.

Yelp
The hotel could use an update, it definitely shows some age. We were only here for 2 nights so it was bearable. I probably wouldn't stay here again due to the location. It was expensive as we kept going back and forth to Kowloon because the majority of things we wanted to do, eat and see were on that side of the Island. Price for the room itself was reasonable and if you are looking for a no frills, basic type of room then this is the place for you.

Yelp
Pro: Over the top staff, great view over the harbor, clean rooms, early check in, airport shuttle, next trolley line Con: Weird lobby setup, not right by subway station Buddy and I took the first ferry into HK from Macau, we showed up at the hotel around 8:30 am, way before check in. The staff give us the option for harbor view and early check in for just $40 USD. We took that option and was speechless when we saw our view across the bay the first time we open our door. It's a basic hotel, quick access to Hong Kong, room service was on top of everything. We were able to watch CNN on the in room TV for special events. There are a few stores downstairs like Starbucks, so it's easy to get waters and snacks. For people getting into Hong Kong the first time, hauling luggage in and out of this city is a bet nuts if you have a lot of large check ins. Get a taxi to this location.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing experience. From the airport take the express train to H2 shuttle bus. Bus stop is about 50ft from Hotel Lobby. Checking is on the 5th floor with a warm and friendly staff. (Gym located on 5th floor also and you'll need to get the key each time from front desk each time to use). I had a Queen Bed which was definitely spacious enough for 2ppl. The rooms are "dark friendly" so you have to use your key in slot to keep the lights on, took a second to figure that one out....lol. The bathroom is spacious with a shower, no tub! Bring your own wash cloths or bathing preference due to the hotel only provides face towel and bath towels. Hotel is convenient to local restaurants as w as 7-elevens for snacks (literally one is 100ft). I was able to easily get around the island without a taxi but there are plenty readily available out front.

Yelp
Overall pleasing experience. My husband and I stayed here for 1 week in March. Very basic hotel, but on par with the price. Pros: covered the bases, good location in a quieter and less touristy area yet easy walk to metro, Starbucks in lobby, is a stop on the free hotel shuttle from Central MTR. Cons: very hard bed (pro for me but made husbands back stiff), desk staff not very friendly. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again. We appreciated the location after hitting the more touristy areas.

Yelp
Ibis Central Sheung Wan is a good hotel for the price. It's very much a 'what you see is what you get' kind of place. The decor is simple but clean. Check-in was located on the 5th floor, but was fast and from there we took the elevator to our floor. Not wanting to spend too much on our little weekend getaway, we opted for the city view, which, due to Hong Kong's many skyscrapers wasn't much of a view, unfortunately. But then again, I reminded myself that we get what we pay for. They give you the option of either a smokers or a non smoking room and you can choose either double or twin beds. Extra beds cost more. Overall a good hotel for families too. The room itself is very basic. Double bed and tv, a small desk by the window and a bathroom with shampoo/bodywash combo locked to the wall. For some reason only one toothbrush and one pair of slippers was supplied, but we called reception and they quickly gave us one more set plus a comb. I am quite positive they would've provided other amenities too when asked. Breakfast is 138 per person(!!!), but for the people who, like me, just need a coffee and maybe a croissant, you can get this for around 50-60 HKD at the downstairs Starbucks. There's also plenty of local food places around the corner. One morning we ate at a local place and managed to order a morning set of beef noodles, egg and sausage with traditional HK style coffee for 27 HKD. So yeah, no need to ball out on Ibis breakfast buffet. The elevators in the building are a bit of a hassle. There are 5 or 6 elevators, but only three of them go all the way to the ground floor. The rest only to reception on the 5th floor. Some mornings we were standing in a crowded elevator where everyone had to get out on 5th to wait for an elevator for ground floor. Maybe it's security reasons, but it creates a lot of confusion, clutter in the reception area and general annoyance. Overall I am a happy customer though. We booked through a booking site and got a package deal of return flight from Beijing to HK and three nights at Ibis for 5200 RMB (roughly 6500 HKD). The staff members helped us store our luggage on the last day and are in general very helpful. All in all would come back.

Yelp
Honestly, there is really nothing special about this place aside from its location. The hotel rooms are small but decent. Nothing to complain about it being it is Hong Kong. It is not too far from the pier and train station. The price is reasonable compared to other major hotel chains. If you are on a budget and wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong, I recommend staying here.

Yelp
Nothing flashy but a great hotel for the money you pay. This hotel may not be a five star with loads of flashy frills, but it is a great hotel for a short city break as it has everything you need. (Well what I think anyway) Super strong wi fi, comfy bed, the most powerful shower I can remember in a long time, great central location, friendly helpful staff, a safe in your room and a really powerful air con system. What's not to like. I would have no issues recommending this as a place to stay in HK if your staying for a few nights and want a good base for seeing the city.

Yelp
Very nice, safe and conveniently located hotel. Clean rooms, modern design. Friendly staff. Cool, air conditioned rooms. Our shower drain was not at level so water would not drain properly, otherwise this hotel would receive a 5 star review. 10 min walk to ferry station to Macau, etc. Free hotel shuttle from hong kong station. Starbucks on ground floor was a plus. Free, strong WiFi in hotel.

Yelp
Having a quick stop over in HKG? A business trip or just looking for a mid range hotel! This no frills Ibis hotel was actually pretty decent! Clean friendly and in an excellent location. ibis Sheung Wan has Everything you need in a hotel! A powerful shower, great wifi, a decent size safety deposit box and perfect air con for those hot days!! The room even have views of the bay! So that was the must haves! Everything else in my opinion (for city breaks) for a hotel if added extra! If you a looking to stay in at night there is a bar area - we didn't really use this facility but it's there and serves food! Downstairs was always manned even through into the night! During the day there is also a Starbucks for your chain coffee! Great hotel great location = perfect for seeing the city!

Yelp
Nicely located, modern hotel, and a great value for Hong Kong. Has all the basics, and many of the views have a lovely harbor view. Has a Starbucks downstairs. Rooms are tiny, but that's expected for the price. Solid place to stay and use a base to explore Hong Kong.

Yelp
Nothing too terrible but just a weird and annoying place to stay. The lifts are the most odd I've ever seen with reception being on the 5th floor, you then had to jump out and get on another to go to your room. Then the same on the way down. Location is alright. Service was pretty average and didn't really give a warm vibe about the place for us unfortunately. Ok wifi. Ok staff. Just an ok experience.

Yelp
The hotel is located in a business district. It's easy walking and quick train distance from restaurants and sight seeing. At night there are restaurants but many businesses are closed so it can look rather empty, but the area is super clean and safe. The food at the hotel is bleh, just don't go to the restaurants. I ordered a rib eye steak with potatoes and got a square piece of almost gray meat with fries. I've had better steak at Sizzler and fast food places. It was bland and not cooked evenly, some parts were rare while other parts were well done. Makes me think the meat was old or frozen. My wife's food was just okay. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are nice and modern. The room safe is really small, a 15 inch laptop won't fit inside, I've never seen such a small safe in a hotel. Bring your own 220 to 120 power adapter, the rooms only have 220 outlets. The front desk can loan you an adapter for free though, but then you can only charge one device at a time. The TV stations are local, don't expect CNN or any western channels. The internet wifi speed is really great and appears to be broadband or close to it.

Yelp
My go to hotel in Hong Kong. Affordable, clean, modern rooms, stunning Victoria Harbor views, excellent service and most importantly for me - fast, reliable wifi and a wired cable internet connection so that I can make skype calls to the US. Also the strong air conditioning is a relief from those muggy Hong Kong days. Don't underestimate that because I've been to other hotels where I was sweating like a pig every night due to weak air conditioning in 100 degree F plus temps.
