Our stay at Ibis North Hong Kong was nice overall. The location is excellent - right next to the train station, with plenty of shopping options and restaurants nearby. The service from the team was very good; everyone was always helpful and welcoming, with a smile. We had a room with a water view, which was lovely. The only downside was the size of the room - it is really tiny. This wasn’t a surprise for us as we were aware of it before booking, but it’s something worth noting. The air conditioning was also too powerful for such a small room and, for some reason, created a lot of moisture, so we had to keep it switched off. Other than that, we had a good stay.

We arrived at the hotel around 11 a.m. after checking out of another property, and we were delighted to be given early access to our room without any hassle. Our initial room on the 28th floor was a bit compact but offered a spectacular view. However, the height made my wife feel uneasy, and she had trouble sleeping. I requested a room change around 10 p.m., and the staff immediately accommodated us with a room on the 9th floor. Their promptness and understanding made a big difference. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we were welcomed with a fruit basket and two cartons of water—nice touches. When we called for an extra pillow, it was delivered within minutes. One small suggestion: having two chairs instead of one would have made the room more comfortable for both of us. There were some stains on the grout between the bathroom wall tiles, but this was a minor issue in an otherwise well-kept room. Overall, the standout feature of this hotel is its excellent customer service. Every staff interaction was professional and helpful, and their responsiveness truly elevated our stay.

If you plan your days out, this is an excellent option. It's less than 100m from MTR, bus and tram stops with direct links to all attractions. Supermarkets, malls fat food and local foods all at your door step. Tin Hau (great restaurant area) is a 10 min stroll. But this is not Tsim Sha Tsui or wan chai or causeway bay where you step out and the action is there for you to duck in and out of the hotel. The quality of the breakfast is excellent, it's not a 5 star spread but the quality is better than most 5 star I've been to. Wifi is excellent. If you're a member with status, the views are great too.

The location is the best selling point of this hotel. Very close to MTR, bus stops, 7-11. The happening areas are only 15-20 minutes away by MTR. The airport connectivity is excellent as the A12 bus stops just across the road and takes only half an hour from airport. Rooms are too small. Basic cleanliness is maintained. We didn’t try breakfast.

A really amazing stay. I don't know why other reviews were worrying about the cleanliness because for me the room was spotless. Even though the hotel is not in Central Hong Kong Island, it is very easy to reach by MTR or Tram, with the streets being quieter yet still full of life. The reception staff were very nice and breakfast on both mornings offered different but nice breakfasts, including western. I will stay here again when I next visit Hong Kong.

After reading all the negative reviews, I was a bit apprehensive but my stay turned out to be very pleasant beginning with the excellent check-in (sorry I didn't catch the gentleman's name). My room on the 30th floor was small - this is Hong Kong after all - but very comfortable for one person and it had a fabulous view which I never tired of (see pix). Didn't experience any noise/ doors slamming/ cigarette smell or anything of the sort on my floor. The hotel is right next to the A1 exit of North Point MTR station and two airport buses stop in front of it. I have been to HK many times and it was a nice change staying in this less touristy part of the city.

Hotel location was great, just close to the MTR subway station. Cleanliness was also great. Staff at the front desk was nice & helpful. The room size was tiny even though I booked a double bed room. Much more clothes hook was better to hang my clothes.

Very well located, harbour views are okay - that's about it though. Rooms are very small, walls are thin - you can hear your neighbours (and vice versa). There are better hotels across the road at similar prices.

Yelp
Ibis North Point is in Hong Kong's North Point neighborhood and is within walking distance of the MTR Stations. My wife and I have stayed there a few times mainly because of the price and convenient location since we have friends/family who live all over Hong Kong. The rooms are small and cheap, but it gets the job done. In North Point there are a lot of good places to eat and hang out. Good place to go on a budget.

Yelp
My regular stay in Hong Kong as its convenient and it provides a comfortable stay. As Hong Kong's hotels are one of the most expensive in Asia, it's difficult to find a decent place that doesn't cost an "arm" for it - if you know what I mean. As a frequent solo traveller, I am particular about about priced and won't pay more than US $100 for a single room per night. However, in Hong Kong, I have to make it an exception. I paid around this price for my last few trips over here and let me share with you it's pros and cons. Located at Hong Kong Island, Northpoint. It's just a few minutes from the bus terminal and a minute walk to the MTR station. Going to Kowloon from there is convenient, usually I take the MTR to Admiralty and change line, so no worries about the transport. Only thing is getting from airport to the hotel may be far and it takes around an hour and 20 minutes both ways but still you get to enjoy the view while traveling pass the roads of Hong Kong. As for the hotel, there are 2 lifts and it takes forever to wait when you are your floor depending on which level you are. The higher you are the better it is for you. Why? If you are stuck in the middle, usually when lift reaches to your floor, it's full and you have to wait for a while before finally getting into it. Frustrating it can be, so usually I take the lift up and then down to ground floor. As for the room, it's of a typical small size - standard for HK. For the kind of price, I can get bigger rooms elsewhere but that's something I have to get used to. Other than that, the room is clean and comfortable and WiFi connection is stable. Overall, I enjoy this hotel and won't hesitate to return.

Yelp
30 seconds to North point station. Convenient and easy access. But the bed was very narrow and small.

Yelp
There aren't many options in North Point and Ibis is centrally located in North Point. There are lots of small eateries downstairs which makes it very convenient. The hotel is located next to the MTR station and the two rooms that I stayed in had an amazing view of the harbor. It's a budget hotel so don't set your expectations high. The rooms are small - it's essentially the size of the bed and a desk about the size of an iron board by the window. The bathrooms are old but it gets the job done. I had to switch rooms during my 3 nights stay and the front desk handle it very well. They did their best to have the room ready for me as early as possible so that my transition was early in the day and wouldn't disrupt my tourist schedule. I did have to push it a bit but I appreciated that they responded and acted accordingly. It was much appreciated. I would stay here again.

Yelp
I loved my little room overlooking the harbor. I was on the 15th floor and could not hear any of the construction going on across the street. If it's a hotel they're building, the harbor view here won't be available for long. My room was clean + tiny; the bathroom might feel cramped for some (standing shower right next to toilet). It's not new + shiny and there are no fancy amenities (wall-mounted shower gel dispenser, no shower cap provided), but everything worked, and I'd rather stay here than in a Travelodge-type place in the US. Some of the rooms have idiosyncrasies; the door to my cousin's room (1513) had to be yanked shut + their safe didn't work. For US travelers: this bed is a lot harder than the typical US hotel bed, even though it had a 2-inch mattress topper. There are only 2 small elevators, so sometimes you have to wait a bit and cram in with other travellers. Also, be prepared to wait at the front desk; there's only 1-2 staff working there. I'm ok with all of this because I just wanted a clean place to sleep. The hotel is worth the price + close to MTR. **For people sensitive to scents: this hotel has a noticeable fragrance throughout (my companions didn't notice it though), similar to Aloft hotels in US.
