ibis Hong Kong North Point

Stayed here for a few times in the past as it is 4 station by metro to Exhibition Centre. My room was small but was still ok for a solo business trip. Check in and out procedures were very fast. Thanks to front office staff. Minibar at my room was not working, just a phone call and it is replaced in about 10 minutes. Super service 👍👏👏Hygenic and cleanless were on higher level as far as l have observed. Wifi works very well so sending and receiving big files was not problem. Breakfast buffet was below my expectation but it was still ok to start to the day with a fresh coffee or tea. Metro is about 40 meters away and a small shopping mall The North Harbour is just opposite the hotel.There is a big super market in the shopping mall. Transfer to hotel is very simple by bus A11. Just get off at the final stop where all buses park, cross the street and in a few steps you are at the hotel. There was some maintenance works at the hotel but we did not experience any inconvenience. Overall we have satisfied with our stay although a little bit far fm touristic zones but still metro and bus services are available. Recommended👍

We don’t care much about luxury hotels- mainly just a place to sleep - so when we saw this hotel cheap during renovations decided to give it a try. Booked a double bed and were given two single beds in a tiny room with scaffolding and mesh over the window so it was dark horrible and cheerless. When we refused to stay as it was substandard and not what we had ordered we were given a room with a tiny double bed with a dirty floor. The bathroom had a curtain around the shower that didn’t stop the bathroom being flooded. |The closest description of the hotel is that it is comparable to the cheapest Asian doss houses I stayed in while backpacking around the world many years ago. I didn’t think such squalid conditions still existed. |Once the renovation is complete the hotel may be good. For now the only good thing about the hotel is its location, oh, and also the staff are friendly and helpful. |The whole Northpoint area is very nice and interesting. Otherwise be warned- avoid this hotel if you have a choice.

Great breakfast bar. We enjoyed breakfast every morning. Rooms are typical size but are comfortable. I have stayed in this hotel for years both for business and pleasure. Great hotel. It use to be that sea view side would get you the view to the sea. But with the new building in front, a higher floor would be needed to see the harbour.

Good points - Great location, convenient location, easy access to local foods, and great staffs. The special breakfast deal was not bad. Maybe having 2 or 3 items rotate would be great.|Downside - Bath towels have holes ( 2cm x 2cm) when it was replaced it had two obvious stains on it. The walls are thin. Can hear the next room guests' conversation. Very difficult to get a taxi in front of the hotel. Room air con was not easy to adjust to the comfortable room temperature. I think will be cold in winter.|Suggestions - Room size suitable for 1 adult only. I wouldn't share the room with my close friend. Just too small.

Location of the hotel is excellent. It is next to MTR station and 1 block from the airport bus. Since it is the bus depot, you can take your time to load your luggage. Best way to go to the airport. The room is small but all necessary amenities are provided. Rooms are clean. It is perfect for solo travelers. When you get to the street, you have all kinds of eateries and shops. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great service, clean, decent breakfast, good prices. Appreciated the 24 hour checkin - good if you arrive on a late flight as I did. Direct bus to/from the airport (bus 11A, ends at North Point bus station just around the corner from the hotel). Trams, bus services, underground and passenger ferry to Kowloon are all very close by. My room had a great view across the harbour.

The place is decently small. It’s great if you will stay most of the day exploring HK. The bed is comfortable and has clean sheets. The bathroom is small but good enough for daily quick use. Check in and out is effectively fast.

AVOID, Needs closing down.||My husband and I booked three nights here during travelling through Indonesia. Malaysia and Singapore. Booked through British Airways so we assumed the hotel would be a very least clean and adequate. ||This hotel needs to be closed down, it is disgustingly dirty, offered two different rooms, both of same standard. We stayed here no longer than 10 mins. I believe the photos illustrate the standard far better than I can describe. ||Spoke with a very unresponsive assistant manager who stated there was no refund policy, despite the hotel clearly breaking any contractual agreement of providing a good,reasonable advertised standard of accommodation. Finally agreed to issue a refund to tour agency, however that remains to be actioned.
