ibis Locarno

My recent stay at the Ibis Hotel was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the staff at the front desk greeted us with warm smiles and handled our check-in with impressive efficiency. Our room was amazing , stylish, and surprisingly spacious, with a balcony offering stunning city views, a Sauna, a jacuzzi and a welcome big basket of fruits. The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. We loved the complimentary breakfast buffet, which had a fantastic variety of fresh fruit, pastries, and hot options. The hotel's location couldn't be better, just a short walk from major attractions and excellent restaurants. The attentive service extended to the housekeeping, who kept our room immaculate, and the concierge, Madame Bozena Lauener who gave fantastic local recommendations. It truly exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to return! Again, Mam Bozena, me and my family can’t Thankyou enough for this amazing services that you provided to us during our Holiday stay and forever will be cherished as one of our best family memories to talk about with my children😊

Perfect stay in Locarno, great location close to the lake, in a quiet residential area, in the city center. Very kind and welcoming team, very comfortable and fully equipped bedroom. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast is excellent (fresh orange juice…). Excellent value for money. We will come back!

A very positive surprise for an economical hotel. Stayed in the "Cinema" rooms for less than CHF100 per night. Beds were very comfy and the rooms had a good size. Staff was super friendly which made our stay a real pleasure. Very centrally located, 10min by footpath from the train station. Only the breakfast was a little disappointing. I suggest skipping hotel breakfast and instead having a Coffee/Cappuccino from the bar with a real coffee machine (croissant also available). Then go have breakfast elsewhere.

I stayed at IBIS Locarno with my husband during the Locarno–Ascona Half Marathon weekend (11–12 October). Unfortunately, our suite was located right above a technical floor, so there was a constant low noise, and around 4 a.m. we were woken up by loud music from the next room. Despite informing the night administrator, the problem wasn’t properly resolved, and we barely slept two hours before my race. The staff were polite and breakfast was fine, but the first floor is definitely not suitable for light sleepers.

The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom had more than expected (cotton disks, toothbrushes etc.), fruits on arrival and a welcome drink. We had the pleasure of having our own terrace. We couldn’t recommend it more!

What great service, I can’t thank her enough! And Alessandro was also so welcoming, the team at this hotel is really fantastic.

Stayed for a business trip in the area. But had experience already with similar class hotels and was eager to experience them again as the last one was almost 13 years ago.||Reception was courteous, but never got to meet any member of the housekeeping team. No doubt, they too are all smiles.||The room was as expected but the bed and pillows were comfortable and always wanted me to spend 10 more minutes. Closet space was ample and really loved the abundance of clothes hangers. T&B was kept clean and sanitized, with spot-on water pressure and temperature. To my surprise, the shower area is larger compared to other similar-class Euro hotels. My only gripe was that the air-conditioner kind of heated the room even if it was in the coldest setting. Just slightly opened the window and adjusted the blinds.||Food selection is also as expected, but the bacon was always crispy! Plus points for that. Good choices of bread and pastries with some fruit beverages. Another plus, Sir Sean Connery (bless hm) always watching over me.||The location of the hotel was convenient. It was only walking distances to everything in the city center.||In summary, it was great to re-experience this type of lodging again, but here in Switzerland. Would stay here again if my work ever returns to this area.

The hotel was really nice, good ratio of quality to the price, clean and well maintained rooms and really really amazing staff. Alexandra from the reception desk is doing exceptional job! We felt very welcomed and took care of :)
