Fourth time we’ve stayed here. Ideal stop off en route for Italy. Clean hotel, close to motorway and the lake, within easy walking distance of the centre of Lugano along the lake side. Excellent breakfast (and good parking).

Affordable and clean. Helpful staff. Located not too far from the train station and places of interest in the Lugano Paradiso area

The room is small, with no refrigerator or drinking water, but it is clean. There is no wardrobe, but there is a clothes rack. It's close to the train station and the staff provide good service.

The hotel was fully booked, and we got the last availabe room. We checked in close to midnight and went up to the room to get some sleep. Much to our horrifying surprise, the room was already occupied - the man we woke up from what probably was deep sleep started screaming like his head was on fire, waking half the occupants of the other rooms on the floor. From the reception staff we received a half-hearted apology, followed by arduous efforts on their part to identify the actual occupant of the room. Finding us the accommodation for which we had paid was secondary. We ended up waiting for an hour (which felt more like 3, since it was late and we were very tired) until they got around to making phone calls to find us a different hotel. After they did, they tried to make us pay for the price difference the other hotel was charging for their room, which we of course declined. One of the receptionists arranged transportation for us to said hotel, while his colleague was trying to get us to walk there (35 minute-walk, which she presented to us as 10 minutes). Needless to say, the experience with this ibis was really bad - the front-office staff present on that night should truly consider other career paths, because hospitality is clearly not their forte.

Quiet , clean hotel. Check in awful, waited over 20 mins while both on duty staff dealt with a large family , did not even acknowledge us standing there or offer any type of apology. Disappointing after a long trip . Not made to feel welcome at all.

Ar…

- good quality of beds (mattress) - good value for money - next to hotel a very good backery for breakfast when not interested in buffet of the hotel - good train connections to Como only a pity that we got a room next to the current construction site

Our hotel room was super clean. Good size for 2 people (not huge but not super small). The hotel was quiet and we were able to get a good night sleep. All 3 Accor owned hotels are in the same building but different wings (i.e. different hallways). The location was great for our purpose. Just a block from the Mont San Salvatore Funicular. It's a steep hike up so if you're not up to it, best take the funicular. It accepts SBB Halb Tax card. Also there is a great bakery /pastries (Manger) across from the hotel and if you are gluten intolerant, there is a Gluten Free bakery a few blocks away. Hotel gives you a free Ticino card when you check in (via email which you register online) and you can take public transit for free in the region which is handy if you want to go to Mont Bre, etc.

The room was small but clean. Location is good which is near lake. There was one thing I could feel bad in my Accor stay life at the first time. In order to eat the steamed rice which I brought from Korea, I asked where the microwave was and if I could use the coffee pot in the room, and they said that if I gave the steamed rice, they would make it for me in the kitchen on the 5th/Nov. However, 6th/Nov morning, when I asked to use microwave, they said they can not do for me. I was very embarrassed because I heard I could use the microwave the day before so I didn't have to worry about breakfast, but I ended up skipping breakfast.
