This was a repeat visit to the Ibis on Bencoolen. We stayed for 9 nights in December. As a Platinum Accor member we had a room on the 16th floor. Standard Ibis room. Comfortable, if basic. Included drinks and kitkat in the fridge. |Good variety at breakfast, which we had included in our room rate. |We ate at the hotel twice in the evenings. Menu is okay, with reasonable variety, but the service was poor. Minimal choice of drinks - just one white wine available by the glass.|Location is excellent. Close to MRT stations and shopping options.|Was able to get a late checkout to 4pm, which was useful given our evening flight. |Helpful staff. Will keep using this Ibis as our base when we return to Singapore.

I recently stayed at Ibis Singapore on Bencoolen Street and had a wonderful experience! From the moment I arrived, the check-in process was smooth and welcoming, thanks to the friendly and helpful staff at the counter. They maintained the same level of attentiveness during check-out, making my stay even more pleasant. The room was newly refurbished and had the fresh scent of new furniture, which gave it a clean and modern feel. It was thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials, including toiletries and other commonly needed items. Although the room was compact, it was perfectly designed for two people. One of my favorite features was the window plank seat—a cozy spot to relax with a cup of coffee while enjoying the view of the lively street below. I also appreciated the welcoming gesture of sparkling natural mineral water and fresh apples, which added a thoughtful and refreshing touch. Breakfast was another highlight, with a wide variety of international cuisines that catered to diverse tastes—a great way to start the day. The only minor setback was that one of the lifts was under maintenance, leading to slightly longer waiting times. However, this small issue did not take away from the overall positive experience. Ibis Singapore on Bencoolen Street impressed me with its modern, comfortable rooms, attentive service, and excellent location. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Singapore and look forward to staying here again in the future!

At first i would like to thank IBIS management for being very kind in nature to allow us early check in. Remember no Hotel in India allow it and charges in case they allow. This was completely free check in by 5 hours before stipulated time. Front desk was kind enough to explain well and seek my plans to suggest proper time usage of my stay. I do feel considering the number of Indian staying there, more options of Indian Vegetarian breakfast. Rooms are smaller than expected but quality of stay was great. Do remember considering Singapore quality of life Tap water is safe to drink . Cheers to Management of IBIS.

During my stay at Ibis Singapore on Bencoolen, I found the rooms to be extremely compact, making it quite uncomfortable, especially for those who require more space. The bathrooms were particularly cramped, making showering difficult for anyone slightly above average size. Additionally, the toilets lacked a washer, which was quite inconvenient. The amenities provided were very basic, and even essentials like bottled water were not available in the room. Guests were required to refill water from dispensers located in the narrow corridors, which felt inconvenient. The elevators were another major issue—they were slow and often overcrowded during peak hours, sometimes taking up to five minutes to reach the ground floor. Breakfast was a major disappointment. The menu remained unchanged throughout my five-day stay, with the same dishes served daily at the same station. The selection heavily featured pork and beef, making it difficult for those with dietary restrictions. Despite being labeled as continental, the food leaned predominantly towards Chinese cuisine. Service at the restaurant was another concern, as the staff—particularly the manager—came across as rude and unaccommodating. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations in terms of comfort, service, or dining variety.

Overall, the hotel corridor and the interior of the room are clean and look newly renovated as they still have the "renovation smell". However, for people who drive there the location of the hotel is challenging for drivers to locate the main lobby/ drop-off.

We stayed for one night recently during a very brief stop in Singapore.||The welcome at check in was wonderful, very efficient and friendly. We were assigned one of the newly renovated rooms and were given the run of the mini bar. ||The room is certainly small, but certainly functional. The bathroom is a good size and the shower is great. The bench next to the window would have made a smart place to put more storage within. It was also very difficult to sit on, but that's a minor complaint.||The main drawback to the room are the bed and the AC. The bed is very very hard, which in fairness is not unusual in SE Asia. But this was hard even for the region and we found it difficult to sleep on. Be sure to keep this in mind if you struggle with really hard beds.||The AC in the room worked, but not particularly well. It cooled the room a bit, just very slowly. We woke up a couple of times during the night covered in sweat. Given this was a newly renovated room, it's probably not getting better any time soon.||Back onto some positives, the location is fantastic with heaps of shops and restaurants in the area. The whole neighbourhood has a really buzzy feel to it which was really cool. ||I'll also mention the breakfast buffet that was included in our room charge, it was fantastic! Huge variety and constantly being refreshed, it was really nice to wake up to. ||So, would I recommend this hotel? If you don't mind a hard bed and a warmish room, maybe? It's a good price in a good location with good service. But, for a newly renovated room we were uncomfortable, so I think I'd look elsewhere next time.

Excellent Service and Warm Welcome at Ibis Bencoolen I had a wonderful stay at Ibis Hotel Bencoolen. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by staff member Than Tar, whose friendliness set the tone for my visit. Before my arrival, I also received a thoughtful email from Angelica Reynoso, the Night Manager, informing me about a complimentary room upgrade as a Platinum member—an amazing touch of hospitality. A big thank you as well to David Lane, the General Manager, for the warm welcome and attention to detail, which made my experience truly memorable. The excellent service, combined with the comfortable and upgraded room, made this stay exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Singapore!

Our stay at Ibis Bencoolen was fantastic. Great service and great staff. Located within an easy walk to Bugis MRT and Bugis Junction shopping centre. Highly recommend this hotel, proximity and ease of getting around was great. Rooms are compact as Ibis usually are but cleanliness was on point. Best sleep. Great mattress. Cannot fault anything with this hotel. Will definitely stay again.

Yelp
This is a very standard Ibis hotel. Nice staff, adequately sized rooms for two travelers (with two twin beds). The rooms were a bit tiny and not super updated, but clean and just right for what we needed. The area was wonderful. It was very near to Clark Quay, Fort Canning, and the Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple (with bigger attractions like the Gardens by the Bay just a 30-minute walk or 10-minute car drive away). My favorite thing about this hotel was the FOOD! There is a breakfast buffet that isn't too expensive and an a la carte restaurant that had such delicious fare and was open until pretty late at night when we would get back from walking around the city. Overall, though this is definitely a budget hotel. But it is still clean and well-staffed, and a good jumping off point for walking around the best parts of Singapore!

Yelp
Stayed here for the first time with my aunt and mom on Friday, 03/24/23 (1 night). We flew from Hong Kong to Singapore and needed a place to stay, then took the boat the next day to Indonesia. $216 Singapore dollars for 1 night. Pros: Free, complimentary, all-you-can eat breakfast downstairs. Very luxurious looking and so many tourists too. Cons: No water inside the hotel; we had to buy our own water bottles downstairs. Fortunately, there is a 7 Eleven nearby. The hotel room is pretty small but can't really complain since this is typically normal in Singapore. Overall 4/5!

Yelp
Ibis Hotel chains are usually known for their small room hotels at budget prices. Our experience at this location wasn't bad at all. It's near bus stops and three MRT stations [i.e. Bencoolen, Bugis ... both in the Downtown (BLUE) line, and Bras Basah in Circle (YELLOW) line. For us, we got off at MRT Bencoolen stop and walked 5 minutes to the hotel. Our room and bathroom were clean. The standard twin size room was small and I didn't feel cramp inside. The bathroom had a standing shower. They don't provide the mini bar soaps or mini shampoos & conditioners bottles, but they already have installed the bottled liquid body washes and shampoos & conditioners in the bathroom - I guess being environmentally friendly? I also booked our room to include the breakfast buffet. I thought the food was OK, but my dad enjoyed the breakfast. They offer all types of cuisines for breakfast: Western, Chinese, Japanese, and Indian. Here are some of the things that I can recall: -Western breakfast items: cereal, bakery items -Chinese breakfast items: congee, some dim sum items, stir-fry noodles -Japanese breakfast items: Japanese curry, miso soup -Indian breakfast items: curries and Indian pastries (maybe a samosa? I don't remember) -They also had fruits and salads too. Overall, the staff was very nice and professional. I recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Great hotel, located right next to the MRT (public metro) and 7eleven is right downstairs. The breakfast buffet is amazing offers eggs, croissants, juice, coffee, sushi and curry chicken. The rooms are a bit tight not a lot of space to store luggage. My stay was about $140/night in the middle of July. Not to bad considering some hotels can cost about $200/night during that time. There is a money exchanger in the lobby of the hotel, great for travelers visiting multiple countries. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful, they would call me a grab to the mall or the beach when I needed assistances.

Yelp
The Ibis on Bencoolen is a pretty decent hotel in a good location. The Rochor and Bugis MRT stations are both within a 5-10minute walk from the hotel and it's pretty easy to get anywhere in the city on the MRT lines. The room was small, not much bigger than your typical Japanese hotel room, very tiny compared to US standards but there was a small desk and chair and room for a large suitcase or two. The room smelled kinda musty, like wood, when we walked in and it didn't go away for the remainder of our stay. Breakfast was pretty good. There were a large variety of Indian, Japanese, and western foods and a nice fruit stand with several different normal fruits. The coffee was good, from an actual single serving coffee machine, an added bonus! The hotel is considered to be in the Little India area but it is actually a 5 minute walk from that part of town. It's more of a "downtown" feeling neighborhood than Little India. Definitely check out that area for some good Indian food though! Bugis street is one block behind the hotel and there is lots of shopping there. We ate at the food court in Bugis junction, food junction, for some really cheap eats within a 10 minute walk. There is also a food republic two blocks away on Bencoolen.

Yelp
Ibis Bencoolen was not my first choice for hotel in Singapore. I was planning to use my SPG points to stay at Sheraton Towers near Orchid Road but decide against it solely on the reason that it does not offer complimentary WIFI access. I personally think that WIFI should be a standard amenities in all hotels, especially hotels at this price point. Ibis Bencoolen is centrally located. Within walking distance of a lot of attractions and most of the places I want to visit is only a few MRT stations away. - Bugis Junction with shopping and restaurants - MRT Station: Bugis EW12 - Bugis Village - Albert Hawker Centre (beats boring Hotel breakfast any day!) The room is on the smallish size... but sizable compare to some of the hotel I stayed in Paris or Tokyo. The facilities though is minimum, no gym, no swimming pool. There is a restaurant/bar on premise that offers Breakfast/Set Dinner and Happy Hour. The facilities I really appreciate is the in house self serve laundry facilities!!! I have a suitcase of freshly laundered clothes by the time I ready to leave for Bangkok! If I am visiting Singapore in the future, I will definitely stay at Ibis Bencoolen again!

Yelp
I love this hotel! I arrived to the hotel around 4 am and of course check in isn't till 3 pm but they gave us a room and let us in around 530 am! So nice.. We did book a room that allowed early check in and late check out tho, but we got a really early check in haha. The room is super clean and so much decorations. The house keepers cleaned our room every day and they replaced all the towels, linens and gave us new tissue paper, shampoo and all that toiletries. The front people are very accommodating, especially Sanjay! He helped us find the right tour for us and where to find the bus hop on hop off stops. It was a pleasure staying at this hotel, not really sure how much it was for a night, I think around $120 converted. Since I booked it with a travel site so it was worth it!! Thanks ibis Singapore. Definitely recommended!

Yelp
Nice hotel located in a good location. Public bus at the door and MRT station 5 minute walk away. Check-in was fast and friendly. Room was on the 15 th floor with a nice view. Typical Ibis room, small and compact. Complimentary wifi, flat screen TV small fridge, and in-room safe. Nice lobby with computers. Breakfast buffet served in the morning. Did not have breakfast as I found the price too expensive, especially with a McDonalds 5 minutes from the hotel. All in all a nice stay.

Yelp
My air-conditioning was being replaced. I needed a place to stay while the workers completed the task. The Ibis is very near my apartment. I went to their web-site. It was very easy to make a reservation. I then walked over. There wasn't a wait for the attendant. The check-in process was very straight-forward. The attendant was friendly, polite, and professions. The room was very basic. It was clean and functional. The size was decent. The closet space was a little small. The bed was a king-size. But this was really two twin beds pressed together. It was still relatively comfortable. There were plenty of pillows. The AC worked well. The Wi-Fi also worked well and was free. The TV was a little on the small side. There was a decent selection of channels. The washroom was small but very clean and well-maintained. http://tinyurl.com/lfb9g8g There is no mini-bar. There is a restaurant in the hotel. I did not eat there. They have a unique tapas concept featuring local and regional dishes in small plate form. For travellers, there is a 7-11 for basic supplies next door. There is also a Guardian pharmacy very nearby. The price (with taxes) was around $250 SGD. The location is good for accessing the Bugis area. Overall Is this a great hotel for a fun vacation or romantic getaway? - No Is this a good option for a basic clean and functional hotel or business trip? Yes

Yelp
Came to Singapore for Gastech conference. Stay at Ibis for the duration. This considered to be a mid-size 3star chain hotel. My first impression, its a neat modern little hotel, staffs are well trained. Although we have a bit of argument due to my misunderstanding when book, my bad sorry about that, the staff tried their best to resolve the issue. They handle the situation pretty well. The room is clean tidy but rather small, very small actually but i guess this common in Singapore where land is at its premium. The amenities is at basic, a fridge, TV, hail dryer, iron and iron-board, safe, coffee& tea average what a 3 star hotel should have, but it does have free wifi. Now it comes down to the price. I booked early over the internet and got S$205 per night, quite high for a 3star. But compare to the walk-in price of.....S$318 =[]=" WTF! No all your customers are Bill Gates!

Xander C.

Yelp
Decent hotel, with good location (walking distance to orchard rd and bugis, long walk to arab st). amenities are spartan compared to other asian hotels. do not expect luxury.

Fraser G.

Yelp
Please keep in mind that this IS a 3 star hotel (don't expect 5 star facilities/luxury ok?)... so as far as a 3 star hotel goes, this place rates as 'awesome'. The Ibis Bencoolen is very well located and pretty easy to find. A single cross platform transfer & we were at Bugis Station from the airport. The staff were friendly & polite to the extent they asked which of my names they should use when speaking with me (yep, I have three first names or three last names depending on how you read it) at check-in & again whenever we approached the reception desks. The room we were booked in was very simple (but very adequate for 3 star). A/C'd room with two single beds (which were very hard in comparison with our previous 5 star hotel), a safe, a mini fridge (no mini-bar), a small hanging space & bathroom. We were happy with the room but noticed that they were advertising a free 3G phone with unlimited world-wide calls & internet access, gym access, free bicycle hire and a few other features in the lift. When we inquired about it we were told that was with an upgrade package that they offer... After a brief chat about the deal and how useful it could be, they offered us a complimentary upgrade (we are Accor members, so I'm sure that helped) so we could use the phone features. They also upgraded us to a king size bed after we explained the reason for booking a twin instead of a double (we don't sleep well in a small bed). Again, the room was very basic, but it was clean and functional & with a pillow top on the bed which made it much more comfortable. A choice of harder or softer pillows, which was also nice. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, which was very handy prior to getting the phone and on our other devices. The 'Taste Restaurant' on the ground floor has food till LATE, but has a lot more options during 'normal' hours. All-in-all, very impressed with the service level and the attentiveness and understanding of the staff. I'll definitely be telling people to stay here. Simple, quick, efficient, close to everything... but ask for the upgrade as I think it really 'made' our stay.

Seán C.

Yelp
This is as much an ibis hotel as much as any ibis I have ever stayed at. The hotel is nice, clean, and modern. It is great value for money if you find the right rates. Them morning buffet has a nice diversity, and in addition to this the night time bar is simple and nice. Great for business trips and very nicely located.

Justice S.

Yelp
Service is EXCELLENT Room - Clean towels and housekeepers do a good job with cleaning Convenient - It's convenient to everywhere.. Train, Sim Lim (although I would not buy here since you can get it cheaper in US - Amazon), food places. No complaints.

Ebisawa H.

Yelp
Sensei Rating (Good, Better, Best) Cleanness: Good Friendliness: Good Room service speed: Good Internet speed: Good

Max L.

Yelp
Horrible interior, tiny and uncomfortable room - even after an upgrade to the 'executive' room (1041). Overpriced and depressive. Avoid it, if you can!

Raul B.

Yelp
I really like Ibis hotels, but this time I did not enjoy the brand as in previous occasions. The hotel is very well located. However, the room looked like quite old, which made my stay less pleasant than usual. Even the lobby was quite obscure and poorly decorated with Chinese new year stuff. The was no A/C in the corridor, so anytime I got out of the room I begin sweating before getting outside of the building. I did not try the breakfast, so I do not have an opinion about it.

Carlos V.

Yelp
Excellent value. Great location walking distance mrt and bus stop out front. Nice room with fantastic internet. No frills place but i loved it and i would recomend to friends.

Shannon C.

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel three years ago. It's conveniently located to the main strip shopping district. The rooms are pretty tiny, but they serve their purpose. We never had any noise problems. There's a bar downstairs with some interesting libations.

Markus H.

Yelp
Unlikely place for a very decent restaurant. Better quality, faster and cheaper than manynof the surroundings. Even if not a hotel guest, highly recommended!

Theda F.

Yelp
Nice for a bare-bones hotel. Clean, fairly new, green hotel. Built-in converters in the rooms, but won't fit the grounded U.S. prong (where one prong is larger than the other.) Free wifi in room! Awesome location for exploring a lot on foot. Close to little India, close to Bugis St shopping!!! and Orchard road where Dhoby Ghaut Station is. Take the NE line (purple line) to go to Clark Quay, Chinatown and Harbourfront. You can even walk to Sentosa from Harbourfront Vivo City mall which is the last stop.

Lauren N.

Yelp
Lovely little hotel that was perfect for a business trip. Not too fancy but just what we needed without being sparse. Our room was located on the corner of the 14th floor and had a nice view. The bathroom was big enough for 2 people to get ready in with minimal elbowing :) The shower had a high flow shower head which I loved- there's nothing worse than low flow shower heads that trickle out water and I never feel totally rinsed off! The breakfast buffet was okay- a bit pricey at 18$ but they have a nice selection of fruits and a espresso machine. The rest was rotating and some mornings- a bit disappointing. There's washers and dryers on the 3 rd floor that cost 4$ per cycle so you can do laundry- also in that room they have ironing boards and irons. No matter what time of day I left the room to run about the city- it's like the maids had my room on watch! They would come in and clean as soon as I left- 10 am or 6 pm :) Wifi was complimentary and only stopped working for me in the elevators. It's close to good shopping and eating establishments. I really enjoyed my stay here.
