My experience at the IBIS Styles Hobart was awesome. I couldn't fault a thing . The staff were very friendly..The room was clean and had a good view. The view was actually better than expected. The bed was super comfortable. I was also surprised how quiet it was. But the highlight for me was the swimming pool. It was glorious, I absolutely loved the pool. The location of the hotel was fantastic, walking distance to the cinema, to great food places , to the piers and the shops. I absolutely enjoyed my stay and definitely will go back. Thank you 💜

Great location for exploring Hobart. The hotel has a fresh look and the rooms are very neat and tidy. The bed was actually quite comfortable. The staff were brilliant. The dining/bar area is very funky and the food was good. Would absolutely stay here again.

5 Star disaster - New motto might be ‘NEVER IBIS’ - First time in Hobart after traveling in Greater Australia for the past 7 weeks. First, and last time, at this place. The rooms are small and without daylight. If the windows opened, and they do not, you could literally pass the grey poupon between rooms. But entertainment is cheap; you literally can also just look into the rooms across from you. And so can they. Honestly, it is the most ridiculous set up of rooms I have ever experienced. Staff was no help; original person was condescending. I arrived earlier in the day and asked for a change of rooms. They were unable to accommodate me. Do yourself a favor. Unless you can guarantee yourself a room above the 4th floor, stay away. This is a layout I’d expect in a big City like Madrid, Paris, NYC, or Hong Kong. Not Hobart! And the place ain’t budget friendly. If you need daylight, step into the corridor. They have better windows for the hallway than they do the rooms.

This is a stylish modern hotel in a good location, about 10 minutes' walk from Salamanca Place (through St David's Park) and less than 15 minutes' walk from the harbour. There are many beautifully restored old buildings nearby.||There is an impressive and spacious modern atrium. My room was a reasonable size, clean and well-kept, with air conditioning and a comfortable bed and pillows. It was well soundproofed (it needed to be, as the hotel is on a busy road). There was a good shower, but the cubicle felt rather small. ||The staff were helpful and friendly.||There was a wide range of good food for breakfast. For lunch and dinner, the restaurant serves a range of Asian food (in large quantities) in what seemed to me (though I am no expert) to be an authentic style.||I would be happy to stay here again.

Fantastic hotel! Mr Good Bar (restaurant below) is excellent. Rooms were great with excellent view, nice decor etc. Location central and easy to get around. Facilities (pool and sauna) were excellent - I would stay here just to have those each day for use. Price was competitive considering similar offerings.

The Poor staff, 6 people waiting to check in and only one staff working. He was lovely though. Complimentary arrival drink couldn't be taken up to the room and staff were rude about it.. The room itself clean and tidy and functional but nothing amazing. No complaints otherwise

The window of our room faced a wall. Having read other reviews here I’m sure we’ll get a legalistic, passive aggressive reply explaining the definition of a standard room and how wrong we are to be disappointed. Fact remains, had we known facing a wall passes for 'standard' we wouldn't have booked the room - we would have paid more of chosen a different hotel. Tip to others: If the pictures of the room feature closed curtains, consider what's outside. Otherwise, hotel was fine, clean, friendly and attentive service, excellent location in the heart of Hobart, nice long pool, new saunas, decent gym, good restaurant downstairs.

+Mostly quiet although busy, luxury hotel with impeccable service. Fantastic location. Superbly clean. Gym, pool and saunas. -Standard rooms have a neighbouring brick wall as a view, I would've upgraded had I known, no wonder they sent me several upgrade emails prior... Feels scammy -Poor wifi -Advertised smart TV is not a smart tv and has no apps requiring screen mirroring which also doesn't work, even though staff tried to help for an hour. -Phone light flashes blue which interrupts sleep and is annoying even though covered with a spare pillow

Yelp
I stayed one night here and had a wonderful experience. Check in was quick. They had local apples you could grab for a small donation at the check-in counter. My room was nice, clean, and enough space. When I checked out, they were helpful with showing me how to get the Skybus ticket back to the airport and where it picked you up. It's behind the hotel about a block so that's good to know. The Skybus was on time which was awesome! I didn't eat breakfast but my friends did and enjoyed it.
