This house museum has been brilliantly put together with expert historians working very hard on its authenticity. And the guide who took my group through was extremely engaging and very knowledgeable.

I understand importance of art which Henrik Ibsen have given to world and especially Norwegian literature and history, but if you are going to Oslo from outside and just for tourist reasons, without special interest in Ibsen personal life, I would recommend to skip this one, there is I would say poor exhibition of his personal belongings, some stories and modern day art showing Ibsen like images/icons/sculptures and his house which is nice is only available with guide in certain hours, in my was was 2PM. You can enter for free with Oslo Pass. It wasn't best place while visiting Oslo, didn't impress me, so I would recommend to majority of people with same tourist motive to skip it.

Wonderful look in to Ibsen's works and late life. Make sure you go on the hour, so that you can take a tour of his apartment. Our tour guide was wonderful and did a very good job. The museum has synopses of most of the more famous plays, examples of staging, and artifacts from his life. If you are a theatre person, a must see!!

Fantastic museum! The guided tour in Ibsen apartment was a delight, a wonderful guide provided insights in Ibsen's last year's. My 15 years old daughter was mesmerized and decided to read Ibsen's plays.

A must for all lovers of literature. Take a guided tour of Ibsen's Oslo apartment, see his study where he created many of his masterpieces. Then visit the exhibition room that highlights his major works ( and there are many that changed minds and the way drama engaged social and political issues. Of many, three still speak directly to problems that still plague us today -- A Doll's House, Ghosts, and An Enemy of the People).

A pretty cool spot dedicated to the life and work of the famous Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen. Included with the Oslo pass. Located in Oslo, Norway, the museum is situated in the former home of Ibsen, where he lived during the last 11 years of his life. The museum offers exhibits on Ibsen's personal life, his writing, and his influence on modern drama. It also features a theater that hosts performances of Ibsen's plays, providing visitors with a comprehensive understanding of his contributions to literature and theater.

A must for Ibsen lovers. This is the house where the great playwright lived during his last years, and where he died too. There's a guided tour every fixed hour, which is included in the price and completely worth it - not only that you get to visit Ibsen's apartments, which are otherwise locked, but the guide is also very good and knowledgeable. Otherwise, without the tour, you can only visit the exhibition. Wonderful experience.

If you are not a fan of Ibsen, it will be boring without a guide. I didn't take the guide tour and regretted it. The ticket includes access to 2 rooms. One with information about his most important plays, and the second - a video of a series of paintings set to music. Nice, but not enough. A bonus is the view from the window of a piece of the royal palace.
