If you’re looking for something unique to purchase in Charleston and support a good cause, head to the Ibu Showroom on lower King Street. You’ll find elevated collections of fashion, jewelry, accessories and home goods from women artisans around the world. I recently bought a very fun one-of-a-kind dress crocheted with a plant fiber from the remote forests of Argentina! I walked out with a cool product and provided a hand-up for women artisans. Win-win! Shopping is by appointment only and the Ibu staff will help you style your outfit. You can also hold a private event on the lovely roof terrace!

During a recent fundraiser, I won the auction for an Ibu Movement Private Shopping Experience. My friends and I were delighted to learn about the immensely talented women artisans all over the world creating clothing, purses, jewelry, and other items to advance the lives of their families and community. We were so moved by the experience that we are planning a Fall Friends Fiesta! Saluting the Chief Marketing Officer, Lasley S. for her extraordinary hospitality and passion. Ibu Movement is a must see when traveling to Charleston. It's fashion from around the world. I loved that this hidden treasure (have to go upstairs) gave me the opportunity to experience different cultures while shopping unique products. It's a run, not a walk!

Eight business days later and my two orders are still showing "Unfulfilled." No communication from Ibu Movement on reason for delay or expected shipping date.

What a delightful stores up those stairs! handcrafted clothing and jewelry with a story to each piece. Changing peoples lives through purchasing makes the buying process feel good--especially since the styles are gorgeous and unique. Hats off to you all at IBU and the greater IBU!

They say if you have a problem with a business, it's not the problem you remember but how it was resolved. Ibu gets 5 stars for solving a problem caused by a small hiccup on their website. When I explained the issue on their Contact page, I received an immediate response, two followup emails, and a phone call. Problem was quickly resolved and my order is on its way! Bought a gorgeous Indian woodblock-print scarf here; I wish they'd had more colors and patterns! The saleswoman was very nice. Will return!
