"Housed in the restored 1889 Ice House, this onsite museum explores the property's history through curated exhibits, memorabilia, and daily tours. Interactive displays and period artifacts document the resort's heritage, and the museum includes a popular photo spot for fans of classic Hollywood." - AFAR
Found this Ice House Museum on accident and what a great surprise. We expected a 15 minute blow through on this one, but it was interesting and engaging enough to spend about an hour and a half. Great video intro. Plethora of history. This one is a must see.

Good museum on some of the history of Cedar Falls, IA. Went through 75% of it. Skipped most of the upstairs though; Nerves were on edge on the 2nd level walking on 1 inch boards with 1 inch gaps in-between (few having holes or cracks in them) and I'm a big guy so decided to play it safe.

They have done a very nice job with this little museum. Admission was $5/adult at the time and I enjoyed the displays. It is often difficult to find “Google-able” local history info and this place had several great displays explaining some of the area’s past. The person working that day was also wonderful (very knowledgeable and attentive). Good place to fill an hour if you have time.

An experience you won't forget. The attention to detail in creating different businesses from years past is fantastic. Too many antiques to mention. A great place to learn how life was lived in the past.
