Enjoying the sweet grilled mochi at Ichimonjiya Wasuke あぶり餅 一和(一文字屋 和輔)was a very memorable experience. The warm mochi is lightly grilled over charcoal, giving it a gentle smoky aroma and a soft, slightly chewy texture. The sweet miso sauce on top adds a pleasant flavor that feels traditional and comforting at the same time.
The atmosphere around the shop is also very charming. Sitting in a quiet, historic setting while tasting freshly prepared aburi-mochi feels like stepping back in time. It’s simple, warm, and truly enjoyable—especially after visiting the nearby shrine.
It’s a lovely place to relax, try something traditional, and experience a taste that has been passed down for centuries. I really enjoyed this visit and would happily come back again. 🍡✨
