Icicle Ridge Winery

We visited Icicle Ridge Winery and immediately loved the beautiful rustic cabin setting. The property is charming, with plenty of seating that gives you great views of the surrounding area, especially pretty on a snowy day. We ordered the red wine flight; while the pours were definitely on the lighter side for $32, the wines themselves were well-balanced and enjoyable. The cabin features a large fireplace that would have made the atmosphere even cozier, but unfortunately there was no fire going despite the winter weather. Even so, it was a lovely place to relax and take in the scenery, and worth a visit for the setting alone.

We stumbled upon Icicle Ridge Winery while exploring the back roads off US Highway 2 near Peshastin, and what a delightful find! The tasting room is absolutely stunning — a gorgeous rustic mountain home originally built as the founders’ retirement house, now serving as an elegant and welcoming winery space. Justine took care of us during our visit, and she was wonderful. Incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, she made our tasting experience relaxed and fun. Instead of just reciting tasting notes, she asked for our impressions first and then shared her own perspective — a refreshing and personal touch. The wines themselves were excellent, with a wide variety of reds and a few intriguing whites, including some unique Gewürztraminer blends. My personal favorites were a toss-up between the Merlot and the Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, but there’s truly something for every palate here. We also had the chance to briefly meet a couple of the family members who now run the winery, and they were warm, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. This is a must-visit spot for anyone in the Leavenworth area — beautiful atmosphere, fantastic wines, and genuine hospitality. We’ll definitely be returning on our next trip!

Incredible venue to host your event. We eloped and hosted a friends and family reception after-the-fact and Icicle Ridge Winery staff was incredible to work with. Highly responsive months before the event, for the event and after for picking up decor. They provided a lot of service and a beautiful, private venue. Plenty of parking, and our guests were impressed with the quality of service. Icicle Ridge really went above and beyond with set up. We had complete access to the entire venue and provided day-of coordination to relieve stress. Wonderful family-run space. Although our reception festivities were outside, we had the food inside which provided a lovely use of space. If you're thinking about hosting an event here, definitely recommend reaching out. We live in Montana and didn't see the venue until the day before we were hosting, very pleased.

Very cool place. They let us bring our dog as long as we kept them outside on the deck. It was a beautiful day with an excellent view. We had a white wine flight. The wine was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was very cool and friendly.

Better late than never. My wife and I love visiting the log cabin every time we are in Leavenworth. Our first visit was in 2021 early in the year while everything was still covered in snow, including the parking lot. It was a slow day at the Log cabin for Courtney, which was great for us. She gave us the history of the house, the family (hey she’s married into it now!) and talked shop about the wine we were drinking. A+ service and experience. If you’re lucky enough to get Court to hang out with you, soak up the energy. She was beyond fabulous and the wine they make and serve is just as good. We have been back a couple times since, enjoy the other seasons of the property. The property is stunning with their pond and views on the mountains. Can’t wait to visit again! Steve and Alana

The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the wine is good. However, we ordered cheese, salames and crackers to accompany it, and they came in supermarket plastic packaging, along with just two plates and two napkins for four people. We were given a single board and a knife to open and serve everything ourselves. This took away from the experience, making it disappointing, and I wouldn’t return.

Was driving through the area and came across Icicle Ridge Winery. From just the drive up, I knew this was going to be a special experience. We were greeted by Nick who welcomed us warmly and shared the history of the winery and also built a tasting for us based on our preferences. We were extremely impressed with the quality and depth of the wines especially after visiting a few different wineries around Washington. This by far topped it. Not only was the wine delicious but Nick and Courtney were just great to talk to and made it a great experience. We cannot recommend this winery enough and hope to travel back to this special spot.

Wine and hike experience: so fun, more of a walk through the orchard (side hill walking, small uphill walk, little dusty, our bride wore sandals she did great), wine throughout the walk, amazing plated lunch paired with a white and red (so delicious), lunch with a view of the River, back to the tasting room for more wine! Worth the $$$, beautiful experience, and the eagle creek family was friendly, easy to talk to, and so much history and information! Would definitely wanna try their snow shoe experience!

Fantastic stop for wine tasting! The view is gorgeous and the weather was spectacular. Jenna was our hostess and made the tasting experience memorable. The favorite pour was the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon which smelled like a smoky bbq sauce in a bottle; absolutely fantastic. There is a pond with ducks that my wife absolutely loved. You could come here and watch ducks all day long. The wine and scenery is a bonus, so if you love duck watching, come here.

Justine was awesome. That was the highlight of our tasting $20 for 4 1oz pours. And you get to pick from red and white. We did the white tasting: 1. Sparkling blanc joy 2. 2021 dry reisling 3. I did the "just peachy" - husband did 2022 wanderlust 4. I got the "warmed" white Glühwein - he got the sparking rosé JOY We had a wonderful time thanks got Justine. She recommend for me to have a glass of the "white Merlot" with a splash of the "Rassamatazz" and it was perfect to finish off our tasting We ended up getting a bottle of the "sparkling blanc JOY" We always get a bottle since it's our drying anniversary - and save it for the following here to drink when we come back to Leavenworth. We were surprised with live music which made the ambiance perfect for a Tuesday night wine tasting.

Awesome food, beer and ambiance. Nice service. A must visit brewery while you are in Leavenworth.

Fun, friendly and family owned winery. Peaceful location with outdoor patio seating as well as ample indoor seating. Would highly recommend this winery. Currently in a log cabin that was founders house making it rustic, quaint and comfortable. We purchased wine to drink on the deck and paired it with their chocolates. All in all it was a wonderful experience

Worth the drive out to the log cabin location. Justine was very nice. The sweet wine flight was really good! Loved the ambiance and cleanliness of the location. Stunning views in December both at the winery and driving to/from.

Such a great place! Chelsey is the best! We visited their shop on front street & she encouraged us to visit the winery. So in love with this place.

Nice Ambiance with outdoor seating and staff were friendly. I was surprised that the wines were a bit pricey as other wineries in the area did not charge as much. The wines were ok. I bought the White Merlot as the host described it as a dark rose, which I liked.

This is an awesome family owned winery. Nick was super kind and made us feel at home. The Romanze White was our favorite!

The building itself is breathtaking- The guest area for tasting is situated in a gorgeous and has a 360 view of the Wenatchee Valley/ The staff were super welcoming and accommodating, and relaxed but on point, The wine was tasty and the whole scene was fantastic!

This family is so nice, and their winery is breathtaking. Nick was fantastic, and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. And of course, the wine is amazing. Fantastic spot to visit with beautiful views.

Our big family came here yesterday afternoon, and had such a wonderful time! Beautiful, setting, lots of outdoor and indoor seating, and great wines! The staff were very friendly and accommodating of our large group, which included two kids. They had a nice selection of cheese and other snacks. They were also setting up for a live music show and based on the sound check, it sounded like it was going to be a great show. We were unfortunately not able to stay for that. My one wish was that they had a few other non-alcoholic options for folks who don't drink. We had a wonderful time here and look forward to coming again on our next trip to Leavenworth!

We were members back when the father was still alive.. and when we saw more of Don and son Nick ... we stopped shortly after we had our daughters wedding at your venue when at your locations your employee became rude. Now we see where it is learned from. the daughter I assume that is at the log cabin running things... wow so rude! I am sorry we came twice and bought both times.. and tried to pick up our daughters order... Thank you for filling the order sooner, she had thought the order was ready this time... Back in the day and that is why we had all been members and that we could switch out or add more at time of pickup for the club price.. Well thank you for the fyi that you no longer trade out flavors and I can not believe as a family member at this once honorable wine venue ... to act like that to your customers and members.

Beautiful property...they had one server and she was too busy for the drop in traffic. We left without tasting as could see she wouldn't have time to serve us in a timely manner. For the price...I would've expected better service. Too bad as was excited to try the wines.

The wine was very good, the view was amazing, but the food and survive was lacking. We ordered some of their cheese and crackers expecting a charcuterie set up but we got a box of crackers and a block of cheese still in the store packaging like they had just purchased it from the nearest safeway. We were charged $20 for the food plus a gratuity charge for the survive. I have no problem paying for good food presented well and paying for good service, but throwing a block of cheese and crackers (not even out of their box) doesn't quite qualify. Just know if you are looking for something a little more put together you might be better off visiting down town leavenworth.

Icicle Ridge was the second of three wineries we visited during a celebration of my friend's 40th bday. This place is stunningly beautiful! Housed in a beautiful log house which the winery owners used to live in, this winery is worth a visit just to see the building and grounds. Outside of the spacious wine tasting area is a lovely deck with views over a pond, and surrounded by a shady grassy area with additional tables if you want to sit outside in the sun (or shade). There were a few lawn games, and I could easily see myself sitting outside with a picnic and a bottle of wine. Our large group enjoyed a tasting ($15) of several wines, culminating in their Blackberry Wine which was very sweet and a delicious finish to the tasting. Their bottle prices felt a bit steep for my budget, so I left empty handed. They also offered a nice selection of cheeses, crackers, and light snacks for purchase.

The scenery is nice. We listened to some nice live music - which we enjoyed. The low stars are due to quality of wine and price point. The Cab was 55 a bottle -- the wine does not call this price. The wine is not great and not a 55 bottle of wine.

Was a club member years ago and decided to see how they have progressed since leaving them 4 years ago. Location is as beautiful as I remembered. The service was excellent. If I were to judge the winery on these points. It would get 5 stars. But. This is a winery. The price point on all their wines is ridiculous. Especially since their wines are ok at best. I feel as if they have loss the passion for making wine. I had expected the wines to mature with age. I was wrong

Most wineries tasting are free if you buy a bottle of wine. Beautiful log cabin. Wine too expensive for the quality taste.

We did their snow shoe tour. Had a great time. Met great people and had great wine. Wonderful experience.

Wine, scenery, service and cleanliness give this winery five stars. The reserve rose is dignified with sweet, but not too sweet notes. Tasting room, bathroom, and deck is wheel chair accessible.

What wowed me from the moment I stepped into this tasting room was the decor and ambiance. White, rustic, yet elegant and sheik-it was one of those places everyone takes a photo of right away. Very exceptional wine and service as well! The son of the winery owners was working today and he helped us choose some delicious wines-I liked the sweet dessert Apple one (Apple of my Eye?) that came with the sweet tasting flight. Aka 3 smaller glasses of wine. $20 for three 4-oz pairs of wine- 1 was Riesling, 1 was the apple one, and the middle I can't remember the name of-but all were excellent! Tasting tray itself was cute and names were very well displayed on the paper. They also offer a $10 tasting for 5 wines of your choice but they are small sips. The $10 can then go towards your purchase of a bottle of wine-but unfortunately the cost of the pre-set tasting flights (3 wines) does not go towards a purchase of a bottle. After talking to the son for awhile, we found out that his mom(the owner) actually designed and crafted the whole interior of the tasting room while his son built lots of the furniture- very nice wooden slab tables and finishes inside. Love these kind of touches! Would recommend this place if you're in Leavenworth!

This little winery is tucked in the hillside with a cozy cabin feel! Love the vibes but was not very impressed with the wine, almost had a sour type of taste. I did a flight and wasn't excited about any of them. Very cute place though!

We had a great time visiting! The gal who helped us with the tasting was knowledgeable and personable. The tasting was great and we enjoyed all of the wines we tried (I believe there were five), and we went home with a bottle as well. :) The grounds were so beautiful!! We enjoyed some time on the porch swing enjoying the pond view and then spent some time playing cornhole (although they could use a new one as one of the boards was broken and we attempted to prop it up with a stick). We would love to go back for their tour!

While the building itself was gorgeous along with the grounds the service was appalling at best. We happened to go here for a bachelorette trip and were promised a nice chill tasting with a calm ambiance. Unfortunately it seems they decided to overbook the venue so that several groups were in one area and it was too loud for us to even talk without yelling at each other. Along with this everything was completely overpriced with the wine tasting worse than something you could grab at Walgreens and the $100 charcuterie board being so simple and plain we could have made it ourselves which the winery didn't even mention we could do otherwise we would have. On top of that we wanted to do tastings for everyone but were only allowed to try 4 wines from the same 4 glasses between 8 people before being forced to buy bottles. Along with this there was a 20% automatic gratuity which is considerably ballsy considering we had to go up ourselves to grab the water and wine and serving ourselves. The lady running it putting it on the card before even allowing us to see the bill. Not only that but compared to other wineries that will explain different wines to patrons and help make suggestion either the server was clueless or too lazy to be of any help.

We enjoyed visiting the winery and sitting outside on the patio enjoying the sun and scenery. Liked a few of the wines enough to bring a few bottles home. Much better to come here than the busy tasting room in downtown Leavenworth.

Just left and I have to tell you... the owner, Don, is one of the nicest people I've ever met and he gave us so many samples so of course I bought 2 bottles! It was absolutely beautiful the views you see and it's only a short drive back to downtown. Wonderful time there catching up with family!

Lovely upscale vineyard and winery. Went during the middle of a Thursday so it wasn't too busy. The server was kind and attentive. She gave great recommendations based on your own likes and dislikes. The friend I went with actually went in thinking she hated wine and left having found a type of wine she loves! The scenery was absolutely gorgeous and makes for a wonderful trip.

I was fortunate to be invited to a wine tasting dinner event by a friend of mine last summer. This winery is nestled in the hills outside of Leavenworth. The scenery is breathtaking!!! The spectacular 'log cabin" house is gorgeous inside and out. The food was flawless and not to mention the attention to detail that went into every delicious course. The table itself was decorated so beautifully, as you can see from my photos. However, don't just get caught up in the ambience of this place....the WINE is the real show! Every wine they make is smooth, delicious and wonderfully aromatic. A standout is their very unusual *sparkling syrah....an interesting red created in the methode champenoise. Also a favorite of mine is their syrah, bursting with cherry and plum flavors. The owners are gracious hosts and if you are lucky you might even get delighted with a sax serenade after dinner! If you head up in that direction, do not miss going to this place and buying a few bottles of wine. And if you want a truly memorable summer evening, take a date or your best friend out for one of their wine tasting dinners! I had too much fun taking photos on their property, so enjoy!

stopped in with a couple of friends for a tasting, and not one person said hello or offered any direction as to where to sit or order our tasting. We finally asked where we should be, and the worker told us to wait on the other side of the window, and told us they close at 5 as if we don't know how to tell time. We took our business elsewhere.

For some of those who don't realize that this is for the actual Icicle Ridge Winery in Peshastin. They have a tasting room in Leavenworth on Front street that is also a must visit, but this is the place where they make the wine and is totally cool. Very old world rustic and with loads of history. My girlfriend and I came through here for the wine tour and free wine tasting during our stay during Oktoberfest and accidentally bumped into the people we met at the Munchen Haus the day before. We ended up becoming acquainted and spent close to 3 or 4 hours there with them. Good times, great friends...

Coincidentally went on their annual grape crushing party--super fun! Everyone was extremely friendly and kind. Food (especially the homemade chili) was bomb, and the wine was excellent. We bought a bottle of the Sangiovese because it was so unique and tasty. We will definitely be back in the near future!

Stopped in on a whim. Met the wine maker. Super nice guy. He gave us a sneak peek at a new wine they're bottling tomorrow (a voignier). Highly recommend.

Love this place. It is beautiful inside and out. We were there yesterday afternoon enjoying our wine tasting, relaxing, and in awe of the scenery. Our host was very gracious and friendly. We ended getting 2 Romanza. My friend was adamant in getting the red and I absolutely wasn't leaving without that white. We were both in love with our wines.

Icicle Ridge has a tasting room in Leavenworth. You pay to taste the wine there - we didn't pay to taste the wine at the actual winery. Though, we walked away with a good couple of boxes filled with wine bottles... Regardless, even if they made you pay, you'd be NUTS not to hit this winery. The centerpiece of the land is the log cabin that was once the home of the owners of the winery. (They live in the building next door now and their son-in-law has taken over most of the operations.) The attention to detail in this cabin is exquisite. Yup, I said exquisite. You KNOW it's something special now, right? The main room is taken up mostly with long tables and chairs, where you sit and taste wines. We expected to taste maybe two or three wines...we tasted four whites (I think), three reds, and a dessert wine. While looking out through the back doors which overlooked a large pond. Surrounding the property is several rows of grape vines and an orchard. Despite the rain, it was beautiful. BEAUTIFUL. Go. For the love of God, go. And try the estate Cab Sauv, oh my God...and I don't like Cab Sauvs.

Stopped by after a tasting near by on the recommendation from close friends. First, the building and seeing is nice as others have said. However, the service leaves much to be desired. I don't know if we're giving off a vibe or what, but we've sat with empty glasses for too long and ignored for much of our time here. As for the wines, there are some enjoyable wines, but many of one's we tried also weren't as enjoyable we had hoped. Dumped more wine here than I have ever dumped before. The appetizers offered we're boring, priced a little high and having to purchase cheese and crackers separately seemed a little wrong. Definitely won't be back. Bummer, because I really wanted to like this place.

BEST WINERY IN LEAVENWORTH! Hands down. I found this wonderful winery when on a solo road trip along HIghway 2. It is a little ways away from Leavenworth in Peshastin, roughly 4 mile drive. They have a wine tasting room in the heart of Leavenworth though, which serves most of their wonderful wines. The establishment is on a beautiful piece of property in the heart of the wine vineyards. You are surrounded by a breath taking view of the valley. The building is a log cabin hand built by the owner Louie, with wood work inside to wow. There is a deck where you can sit outside on a nice spring day, take in the beautiful view and taste wine into the sunset. When you walk into the cabin, the family treats you like one of their own. I am a wine member, which by the way is WAY worth every penny. When I come for the wine pick up days, they have free wine tasting for all of my friends and treats to eat while tasting. They have live music in the summers and set up a stage right next to the cabin with tables and an outdoor tasting area. The music is always relaxing along with the wines. The crush festival they have once a year is soooo much fun and they set up barrels with grapes within, so you can take your shoes off and crush, crush, crush away. Grapes between your toes is a great feeling, especially after a few glasses of wine. Take your family, loved ones, friends, anyone! If you miss this winery when in Leavenworth, make a special trip just to visit. IT IS SOOO WORTH IT. If you like wine, time with friends you love, you will love this experience and your friends will thank you. Thank you Icicle Ridge for all of the wonderful, winey times with you!

Just a short distance from town sits this winery, a good detour from the run of the mill storefront wineries in town. While this winery has 2 tasting rooms in town I would highly recommend the beautiful log cabin tasting room over the downtown ones. You walk into the warm inviting log cabin with a grand fireplace and lots of antlers and country décor. You take a seat at the large dining table instead of standing at a counter which allows for a warm welcoming feel. I found myself imagining a great old fashioned family dinner in a cabin like this. Great ambiance. I think that is where all the appeal for me was though. Service was just ok, attentive but not very engaging. Once they told you the minimal info about the wine they went back to talking to each other and didn't engage with the guests. The wine was good, but I wasn't really inspired to buy. I almost just did my tasting, enjoyed the beauty, and left. However there was a raspberry wine that had real raspberry juice and puree in it and it was really good and original so I bought that. Not sure what I will pair it with though, perhaps a cheesecake! Overall for me I think it was a nice visit, worth a stop once for sure, but probably someplace I won't go back to again.

We had such a fun time enjoying all of Icicle Ridges wines yesterday! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were a party of six. We felt like We were sitting in our own home enjoying delicious wines, cheese and crackers. Amber was so sweet! Can't wait to go back for another visit.

I was brought here for a wine tasting by a friend, and I think it just might have been the best wine tasting experience I've ever had! The place looks like a cross between a great summer party location and a friendly, airy log cabin. It's well-decorated with quirky and classy furniture and art and knickknacks. It's incredibly welcoming, as are the staff. We sat outside in the sun and went down the entire wine list. Their wines are extremely tasty and flavorful. You can especially taste each of the individual flavors in the white wines. My favorite is The Blondes. You can actually taste the hint of lemon kick in at the end. Very very awesome. I highly recommend it.

The owners of this winery are incredibly gracious. You feel welcome the moment you meet them. Their old home, the log cabin, is amazing - you can really see their love and attention to detail in every aspect of the home. I bought their chocolate cherry dessert wine that is outstanding and I hate dessert wine but this wine is delicious. I also bought the sparkling syrah - wow - sublime.

I love this winery; my girlfriends and I always go when we are in town to the Peshastin location at the log cabin. However, on our trip on July 14, I was taken aback by the service. Normally the wine maker takes care of us (or we've had great luck with his son's best friend) but this time there were two staff unfamiliar to me who seemed confused and not very engaged. We asked what time they stopped serving and the response was unclear. We asked if we could sit outside in the shade, and the response was, "It'd be better if you sat on the porch." So we sat on the porch in the seats that burned from the heat and we were not able to smell our red wines because they were heating up so fast that one whiff smelled solely of alcohol fumes. Was pretty disappointed given this is my go to place!

Love the atmosphere of 2 of the 3 locations. The cabin and the more modern round booth ran by the son. Always a good time. Scenery is at the lodge but the mood is at the in city modern tasting room. (Not the downstairs one). Stick with the first 2 . The wine is awesome! A bit pricey even as a member but if you click with the family there the company is worth it. ~

The most amazing winery I've ever been in! Even if you're not a wine lover, you'll enjoy spending your time "discovering" the facility. Located in an amazing log home with plenty of rustic touches you can't help but feel at ease. The staff is trained as if they walked straight out of a vineyard that morning! The atmosphere is relaxing, the wines are unique & high quality, the staff is friendly & warm and the scenery is to die for!!! Don't miss this experience the next time you're in Leavenworth (or passing thru on Hwy 2!)

Spent a couple hours at their wonderful house-winery out on their porch enjoying a spectacular day. Had the mixed flight then we each ordered our own glass for the duration. Not only is the staff amazing and wonderful service, the wine-maker, Don came out and introduced himself and spent a while chatting with the entire group out on the patio. What a wonderful story and oh the wine? Very top notch and delicious. I honestly couldn't think of a single thing to critique this amazing winery and staff. Maybe make the outside porch bigger? LOL I can imagine this place gets packed during the summer and on nice days. We've been to a ton of wineries over the last few years and the only one (OK maybe two) that come close in the PNW in our opinion are Bethany in Battleground, WA and Maryhill up the Gorge. Granted we haven't been to them all but Icicle Ridge and Bethany are the two top from our experience. Thanks so much Icicle Ridge for the wonderful experience. Don even remembered our names as we got ready to leave. Who does that these days? Wonderful.

One of the best wineries I've been to. We have been here a couple times and every time, there isn't one wine we haven't liked by them. Definitely recommended for all winos

This review was long overdue. We came here about a year ago and were not greeted when we came through the door. We weren't even sure if we were in the right place at that time as it feels like you are entering into someone's home. There was another small party speaking to a heavyset blonde lady, who in retrospect, is maybe one of the owners daughters. She certainly looks like it based on the pictures? As she was preparing some wine in the kitchen, I went over and asked her to tell me a little bit about the home. She said the owners now live in a smaller home in another section of the property and I jokingly responded that apparently this house wasn't good enoug, they must've wanted something different... If you take the time to visit this home, you will see it is absolutely magnificent and so my comment was clearly meant to be a joke. She very quickly turned in her attitude and said in this very snarky tone that the owners had given up living in this, their dream home, to save the winery. What the heck? She's then turned and proceeded to ignore us. So we spent the next few minutes walking around in the house and looking, but this woman never paid attention to us again and so we left. It was a horrible experience all around and I never meant any harm in my comment. The property is beautiful but this woman's attitude was insanely horrible and inappropriate.

Loved the wine at Icicle Ridge Winery. Nice family atmosphere on a beautiful property. Also spent time at the tasting room in town, which had friendly staff and delicious gluhwein. Hope to be back soon!

While I didn't fall in love with all of the wines that we tasted here, I loved the setting and the staff. They were having a wine club event in the main lodge so they were doing their tastings in the cellar. It was $5 to try six wines and the fee was waived with purchase. The lady who was doing our tasting was very friendly and came outside of the cellar to enjoy the view and chat with us about our vacation. We bought a bottle of their chocolate cherry passion, which is probably the most interesting dessert wine I've ever tried - it tastes a bit like a tootsie roll.
