The Best Tour Companies in Australia (Updated 2025)
"If you find yourself out in Perth, iCity Tours—organized by Visit Perth and run by volunteers—offers six different free walking tours (each around 90 minutes) that are a fun way to meet locals and get a sense of life in the city; the Orientation tour provides a quick intro to Perth and its past, while the Convicts and Colonials tour gives insight into what life was like as a convict in Western Australia." - Matthew Kepnes

I loved my free orientation walk with Eileen. It really gave a great overview to a first time visitor like me. We got lots of helpful and practical information throughout the tour as well as insights into this fun city. It helped me tremendously in navigating my way around during the rest of my stay. Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers. Walking tours are amazing - even more so when they are free.

Went on a City tour with Adolf and Marion. He tailored the tour according to what we were interested in which was great. He is incredibly knowledgeable and generous with his time and effort. I live in Perth but learnt so much. Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful orientation tour with Eileen. She took her time and explained Perth to us (public transport etc.). This was a great introduction to the city and helped a lot for my stay. We also walked through the city and got an overview about important buildings and streets. Thank you Eileen!

We did the Rogues, Rebels and Remarkables tour with Tania. She was so entertaining and had so many interesting stories about the people who shaped Perth and WA. I highly recommend this tour or any other tour they offer. We also did a tour with Jennifer and loved that too.

We turned up at the kiosk having never been to Perth as a tourist before. It was good timing as it was shortly before a scheduled orientation walking tour. So the very helpful staff were able to accomodate us at short notice even though we were the only two tourists. We had a lovely and interesting tour with Jennifer who did a great job introducing us to her home city.

We attended the Wednesday Convicts & Colonial walking tour. Our guide Stephen is patient, passionate and knowledgeable. He shared a lot about the history and attentive to the safety of the group. The volunteers at the kiosk are also very friendly.
