How to Plan a Ski Trip to Santa Fe

"A local coffee roaster with multiple neighborhood outposts, each location pairs high-quality coffee with a distinct atmosphere and a food menu that ranges from simple breakfast staples like yogurt and granola to indulgent items such as a croque-madame waffle, making it a popular grab‑and‑go option before hitting the slopes." - Annie Archer Annie Archer Annie Archer is the assistant social media editor at Travel + Leisure. Delicious coffee. Try the horchata latte. The Santa Monica Benedict was absolutely fantastic. The bacon was so tasty and the hollandaise sauce is kind of like A. Chipotle, mayo, it's so good. The potatoes were delicious too

It’s chill especially with the group performing the songs on Sunday It’s awesome The coffee was great as well

The people and staff at the Lena location are marvelous! I enjoyed spending time there every day while visiting. Power outlets are plentiful and conveniently placed around tables, making me feel welcomed to stay. The menu changes from breakfast to lunch, so my palette did not get bored while I camped out there. The scones and espresso are addictive. The Iconik street tacos are delicious, and I selected a trifecta of three protein options. The Thai steak bowl was also tasty but I would have enjoyed a larger portion. Don’t forget to try the smoothies. Both flavors are refreshing, though my favorite was the Super Green with matcha and pineapple (I think). I drank it so fast that there’s no photo here! Thank you for a delightful experience!

Great coffee shop, good selection of tunes, and the Benedict was delicious. The staff was friendly, and overall just a really enjoyable place to spend some time in the mañana.

Google
Love Iconik! We had a matcha latte, a avo-pineapple smoothie and 2 salmon paradises. Everything was delish and what a beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy the patio at the Railyard Iconik!

Google
My favorite location of Iconik! The location is small and cozy, and the decor is eclectic. The service was incredible and the baristas made great conversation with us. Plus our drinks came out quickly! We did not try food so I can’t comment on that aspect of this cafe as much. Other than that though I loved it

Google
Love this place. I usually get an iced latte with almond milk, and it’s pretty creamy and a little sweet. The Guatemala eggs were 👌

Google
“The Iconic Coffee is hands down one of the best coffee spots around! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the staff is always friendly, and the coffee is top-notch. Whether you’re grabbing a quick cup on the go or sitting down to enjoy a latte, the quality is always amazing. Their pastries are delicious too! Highly recommend this place to any coffee lover!”

Yelp
This place rocked it all the way around. The patio was absolutely perfect - so much shade but they made it interesting as well. The interior was cool as well. The lady taking the orders was nice and knowledgeable about our questions. I had an ice latte there that was made exactly how I like it. It was such a great way to start the morning and long-ish drive we had after that.

Yelp
This has become my go to in Santa Fe. Everything about this place just works: great coffee, exceptional food and the vibe is warm and inviting.

Yelp
So glad we had breakfast and coffee at Iconik! It's the coolest spot. It was very busy on a Wednesday morning, but the baristas and cashiers were so nice. It's so cool inside with lots of art. The bagel sandwich was the best I've ever eaten. And I loved my horchata latte. I absolutely would go again.

Yelp
What a great place. My friend and i came by to do some work while we were traveling through, the place was busy but we found a lovely cool place on the patio where a live band was playing! It was great! I got a iced cherry oat milk matcha, and a blueberry date scone(gluten free but you'd never know), it was all delicious and fairly priced. They gave a discount because it was my first time by and the staff was so fun and pleasant to talk to! I love it and will be coming back!

Yelp
This is a short walk (10 mins) from the main square but worth the trek. Delicious coffee and food options, including gluten free. The coffee shop is located in a co-working space with many small studios for creators. The service was kind and quick. There was no line when we arrived on a Sunday morning but a crowd soon hit. The staff did a great job of getting everyone through the line quickly.

Yelp
The place was very packed. We decided to try a local coffee spot. We ended up changing our minds and got it to go because there weren't any available tables. The latte I had was pretty good, but my family members didn't like their drinks, although they did order some "unusual" items compared to what they get elsewhere. We had some of the vegan bars which were very dense and filling. I would probably come at a time when it's slower and a bit more calm and give it another shot. Possibly one of their other locations.

Yelp
I got their horchata latte hot, wasn't very impressed. Brewed coffee is way better than drinks from bar in my opinion, and peach muffin with canned diced peaches? For as expensive as this place is...Conclusion, Mid.
google avatar

Jeffrey G.

Yelp
The food and the coffee is great, but they are always blasting music to the point where you can't hear yourself think. Just an important point for you passive-aggressive Gen Z hipster staffers, the atmosphere and the restaurant is for the customers, not for you.
google avatar

Shannon M.

Yelp
This was a nice spot to unwind a bit after a full morning of running around! We sat outside after ordering and a DJ was mixing tunes live. My atomic tumeric tea was tasty, but a bit costly (it's a tea bag and water, after all; no other prep involved unlike complex coffee drinks).
google avatar

Yelp
Wow! Visiting Santa Fe for the first time and loved this spot!! I got the most delicious Benedict - I'm typically not a big fan of Benedicts but this hollandaise sauce was lighter than usual and so good. And I mean - the rubbed bacon?! Soooo good. The potatoes were on point as well. Service was so kind and friendly - the type were you think "these humans are so happy and cool". The space was a good size and ample tables. I'd love to come back again!! Definitely check it out. Oh and of course - the coffee was on point!! Yummmm!

Yelp
Great atmosphere, great coffee, great service. Decent outlet options, I would definitely bring my laptop here to get a great work session in.

Yelp
Good pastries, food, and coffee. Service was considerably fast for gourmet like coffee. Ambiance is very decorative and different. Very much recommend if staying in Santa Fe
google avatar

Donna S.

Yelp
DEFINITELY our favorite coffee shop. They roast their own beans, so the scent when you walk in is intoxicating (if you love coffee!) Food is always tasty & delicious, at any of their locations. This location has my favorite "campfire" seats, a group of Adirondack chairs with a stump for a footrest or table. Dogs allowed on the patio, which is a nice shady spot in the morning.
google avatar

Dana M.

Yelp
If you really love coffee and appreciate the process from bean to brew, you will love this place. If you like sugar to mask the flavor, this place is not for you. I had perhaps the best cup of Ethiopian today. I might have cried a little. The breakfast burrito was also stellar.
google avatar

Rick C.

Yelp
Our always reliable and delicious stop when we drive through Santa Fe. Our oatmilk lattes were excellent to accompany the fresh breakfast burrito. Service was prompt and excellent, we wished we had time to enjoy breakfast on the cool patio, maybe next time!

Nate B.

Yelp
Great local coffeehouses no matter which one you go to. Definitely top tier compared to other coffeehouses. They have some vegetarian and vegan options and hope they have more in the future.
google avatar

Krista H.

Yelp
Busy Sunday morning when we stopped by. I got their oat milk latte and is was ok, a little weaker than I like, but their vegan magic bar was SO good!
google avatar

Michae A.

Yelp
Solid cappuccino right in the heart of the city. The service was pleasant, nothing to complain about and they have a great outdoor patio. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
What a wonderful coffee house. I wish we lived here as I'd be a regular but, alas, was traveling when we visited. Our first experience was back in July 2023, and my daughter found this spot as we were heading to Taos from Albuquerque. The cashier and manager (owner?) were super personable. Then, on top of this, the coffee was quite good and to put the cherry on top their pastries are glorious, especially when you find out they all are gluten free! When we came back by in October I reminded my wife of this spot and we stopped in. This time we had breakfast and the breakfast burrito was suggested (though I also got some pastries!) and both my wife and I got this. It was not at all what I expected and was wonderful. We were so happy we came back the next day and had different folks waiting on us. The folks both day were wonderful as were their food and coffee. Circumstances likely will have us visiting the area again and if we're able we'll definitely pay another visit. I'll see if I can figure out how to post an image of the wonderful breakfast burrito. I'd definitely recommend first for the people, then the food and at pretty much the same level as the first two, the coffee.

Yelp
Cool vibe, spacious warm, inclusive environment. The Matcha is great and so is the coffee! If I lived in the town, this would be my go to hangout space for sure!

Kayla C.

Yelp
The horchata latte is so good! The atmosphere is cozy. I'll definitely be coming back!!
google avatar

Lena T.

Yelp
I ordered an iced chai latte and the chai flavor wasn't strong. The espresso machine they used was really high end but that in itself didn't offer a decent espresso per the BF. Maybe it's the blend of beans that was offered that day or just the barista. But we both left with a "Meh". Very hipster vibe and cool decorations. The food looked good and healthy though.

Yelp
Cozy, friendly, chill vibes place. Amazing coffee with a great menu and sweet treats. Plenty of seating inside and out. The Horchata Latte was very good, if you are looking for sweet, this isn't it, coffee on point. Our food arrived in a timely manner and was excellent! Parking is limited but worth a short walk. Love this low key local place
google avatar

Yelp
great place. big variety on coffees and amazing food too! cool groove on the music for a sunday morning. loved it.

Yelp
If I owned a coffee shop, these are the vibes I would want it to have. Spacious, kinda quirky with various types of furniture, celebratory of different cultures and diets with its offerings, plant wall, pet friendly, and good for both working and socializing. I am sooo glad I decided to stop here at the last minute before a long drive. Truly wish I could go back. I just know I would be a regular, especially with the friendly workers! The parking lot is also a little small, unsure if I was viewing all the options because I saw a lot of the stalls were marked for diff businesses. Also my only qualm was that the horchata was pre-made, unsure if it was mass produced or sourced locally but yeah! Not a big deal, I had a great drink--just a different one. A vanilla oat milk latte with cinnamon, kindly made by the barista :)

Yelp
Really great cafe! My husband and I visited this coffee shop for a few hours while we had some maintenance going on at home that required us to leave. I looked up some cafes in the area that had an outdoor space since we had our cat with us in her cat carrier (yes we were the weird cat people LOL, but she couldn't stay at home either). When we arrived there was plenty of seating outside. I even got a seat next to an outlet which was important for me since I had to log in for work. I noticed a lot of others either working or studying at the cafe. The wifi was good enough to get onto a 30 minute teams call with no issues. I ordered a regular cup of coffee and the shakahuka. The shakshuka wasn't what I expected, but it was really good! A nutritious and filling meal. The coffee was honestly a little weak..I didn't feel very caffeinated afterwards, but maybe it was just the brew. I would definitely come back.
google avatar

Lisa B.

Yelp
Really nice vibe here and a great chai and coffee. Chai wasn't too sweet and didn't taste out of the carton. Friendly staff and cool merch with their logo.

Tamera O.

Yelp
The food was amazing!!! Vegetarian and vegan options also the best we've had in Sante Fe. The servers were very knowledgeable. Music was great! We may go there every morning we are in town

Ben W.

Yelp
Excellent coffee done right, good food for a fair price. Plenty of seating and mellow atmosphere
google avatar

Kevin Q.

Yelp
Coffee was delicious! Great atmosphere and even better music. Nice spot to sip your morning coffee and get a good read in!

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place after having breakfast at The Pantry, which had horrible coffee, and my wife needed her caffeine fix. A cool coffee shop, hidden off the beaten track. They have a working antique roaster on site and it smells amazing! My wife had a Latte and a scone which she thoroughly enjoyed and i grabbed a double chocolate chip cookie that was very good. We were visiting from So Cal and the server recommended a few places to shop while in Santa Fe.We will stop by Iconik again next time we are in town!

Taryn F.

Yelp
A darling coffee shop, a variety of seating with good lights and a solid food selection

Yelp
When the husband and I travel the first thing we look for is great coffee. Iconik coffee is the spot ! We had a smoothie , Tea , coffee and a light breakfast everything was delicious! Also got tons of great information on local places to shop and visit form a local ! Great place highly recommended

Yelp
We came here based on the yelp reviews. It's in a beautiful building. We ordered 2 coffees and a matcha. The place is beautiful inside and they also have an outdoor patio that is beautiful. The coffee was overall good and prices was reasonable.

Monica R.

Yelp
Food was delicious, drinks were so good and service was great. We visited during the Christmas holiday and will be back next time we visit!

Anna S.

Yelp
Best pour over I have had in a good long while. Iced coffee was to die for. Environment was fun and rustic. Staff helpful and delightful
google avatar

Matthew C.

Yelp
The coffee and pastry I had was pretty good, and the service was great. Sadly, the drawback was that the vibe on the day we went was very "snooty Santa Fean." These are the wealthy hipsters who flock there from Texas, California, Colorado, etc. and look down their noses at you. If it wasn't for this crowd, I'd be happy to hang out here everyday.
google avatar

Anna H.

Yelp
Stopped by one morning for an iced latte and a few bagel sandwiches. Staff was really accommodating and friendly! The eggs on the sandwich were scrambled with some seasonal veggies in them (we also got some carnitas on the side). Lavender and mint iced tea tasted refreshing and my brother liked his iced vanilla latte. Lots of space outside and inside to sit and read/work or just enjoy your breakfast.

Bev B.

Yelp
My sister and I had breakfast and coffee every morning at Iconik while staying in Santa Fe. Food was delicious and coffee was the best. Staff were very friendly and atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable.

Alma R.

Yelp
Breakfast was pretty good! Gluten free and vegan food options which is a plus! Great customer service!
google avatar

Alan R.

Yelp
It's actually about 4 1/2 stars. Excellent coffee. Pleasant friendly staff. Nice breakfast and lunch menu. Order at the counter and they bring it to you. Nice mix of folks in conversation and reading and using the Wi-Fi. When the weather is nice, there's a patio. Live music at times. Major downside for me is the very limited parking for the size of the establishment. That's the only reason I took a star off. Not much they can do about the parking at this point.
google avatar

Jennifer O.

Yelp
Iconik is a cute coffee roaster that has pretty tasty (but expensive) coffee drinks. I enjoyed my drink and even picked up a nice t shirt. It's worth checking out this local roaster if you're in town.
google avatar

Miranda R.

Yelp
The first place I visited before moving to Santa Fe about 4 years ago and now I work there lol. My favorite coffee in town. I love hot or iced vanilla latte with oat, the mocha, Asian noodle salad, steak tacos for lunch are so bomb. All pastries are gluten free. Lovely space to do some work or meet a friend. The only place I've worked that I will go into on my days off lol sometimes twice.

Daryn R.

Yelp
BEST COFFEE I have ever had. BEST BREAKFAST/LUNCH.... BEST SERVICE AND PEOPLE. So many gluten free options. Best ambiance and atmosphere. I loved this place so so much could not recommend enough!!!
google avatar

Estevan A.

Yelp
Their pour overs are legitimate 3rd wave coffee good and could contend with the best! Plenty of seating, great vibes, friendly faces. The best coffee spot in Santa Fe
google avatar

Lorrie C.

Yelp
I really love the place. The coffee is so good- every time. And it is so eclectically decorated - with little quiet spots and a central space if you want to be in the mix of things. They have a great small menu of breakfast and lunch choices- all very tasty and their patio is such an enjoyable spot to relax with your morning read, great coffee and maybe a scone. They are tucked back in a quiet area off of Cerillos Rd. and it always relaxes me just being there. One of my very favorite hidden spots of Santa Fe.
google avatar

Art C.

Yelp
We tried this location after having a bad version of their coffee elsewhere. This one was much, much better. The dangers of distribution I guess...

Natalie S.

Yelp
Perfect latte as gauged by a latte snob. They'll do half caf. Awesome patio with a bunch of nooks.

Yelp
Needed some caffeine while visiting Santa Fe and found Iconik online. One of my favorite things while traveling is visiting local coffee shops and I'm glad I stumbled on this one. The seating set up is great, plenty of tables and seats available for work or hanging out. I would definitely come often if I were local. The music is a bit loud for my preferences but I don't mind putting on headphones. Service was solid too, the owner was there and he personally made rounds to each table to make sure everything was alright. But what about the coffee? Iconik makes sure you know they roast their own coffee with their original roaster on display right next to the entrance. I ordered a regular drip both because I'm cheap af and it's how I like to judge the quality of coffee. It was a decent cup, nothing mind blowing but better than you'd get at some corner chain, you know where I mean. Something unique about Iconik is that you have the option of "extraordinary" for both their drip and by the cup options. This just means they have specialty beans available for a slightly higher price. I generally only see this option for by the cup like pour overs, so I appreciate that you can get it in the normal drip coffee too. And a side note, if you buy a bag of beans (~$18 for a pound when I visited) you get a free cup of coffee. There is a sign for this but I missed it and decided to try a cup before deciding on the beans. Should've just bought the beans and gotten the coffee for free! All in all, a pretty legit coffee house that I'd recommend and would visit again if I find myself in Santa Fe.
