The 20 Best Things to Do in Bangkok

"If this is your first foray into Asia, you’ll quickly learn that malls are a thing—and ICONSIAM is the mall to end them all. This luxury development in Bangkok includes eight stories showcasing 7,000 brands, more than 100 restaurants, a subterranean floating market, an IMAX theatre, SkyPark, two swish residential towers and much, much more. You could quite literally spend an entire day here. Definitely go in with a game plan. With more than eight million square feet to get lost in, it’s easy to waste precious vacation time here. Skip the brands you can find at home and target the Thai craft areas as well as the must-visit floating market (SOOKSIAM). Also, stop into Takashimaya, a famous Japanese department store, and the only one in Thailand." - Diana Hubbell, Katie Lockhart

It’s one of the nicest malls in the city, offering a perfect mix of high end luxury brands, international shops, and unique Thai stores, making it a great place for both shopping and sightseeing. The design is stunning, spacious, and modern, with several floors dedicated to retail, dining (over 100 restaurants), and entertainment, plus an indoor floating market on the ground floor that adds an authentic Thai touch. The riverside location makes it even more special, with beautiful views, especially at sunset. The entire complex covers over 525,000 square metres. It’s also a very family friendly destination, with kids’ play areas like HarborLand, toy shops, family dining, and convenient facilities, making it easy for parents to enjoy a day out. While it can get crowded and some prices lean on the higher side, overall it’s worth visiting.

What a great shopping Mall ! Famous for the food on the ground level and you will understand if you visit why. Endless selections of cooked foods and all seemingly at a high quality. There is a great atmosphere in this whole area but if you explore further there is at least 8 or 9 levels with lots of shops and places to eat and drink.🍛🍾🛍️ There is also a terrace to get a great view of the city! Definitely worth a visit.😍 Do visit the Mall if you are in Thailand Bangkok 🇹🇭

I recently visited ICONSIAM Mall in Bangkok and it completely lived up to its reputation as one of the best shopping and lifestyle destinations in the city. The mall is huge, modern, and beautifully designed, offering everything from high-end luxury brands to local Thai shops. What I found most unique was the indoor floating market concept, it gives such a cultural touch and makes shopping here feel like an experience, not just a visit to a mall. There are plenty of dining options, ranging from street-style Thai food to international cuisines, so there’s something for everyone. The riverside location adds to the charm – the views are stunning, especially in the evening. Everything is well-organized, and the overall vibe of the mall makes it perfect for shopping, dining, or just exploring. Definitely a must-visit in Bangkok, whether you’re into shopping, food, or simply looking to enjoy a world-class mall experience.

The only pity is that I can’t give it more stars. Amazing place. A mall that simply has everything and lives in a state of juxtaposition. On the ground floor is a market. The prices are higher than local markets but that comes with the location. It is bustling with people and businesses alike. The street food is as authentic as anything you could find and there are so many other market options. On the floor directly above you can visit Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and others at the highest end of couture. And on several floors above you can also find the most successful high street brands in what is to be described as a magnificent setting. Toilets and facilities are available throughout and are excellent. If shopping is your preferred way to enjoy yourself, this is a Mecca and could easily take a couple of days to fully complete.

Extravagant beautiful mall on several floors. All high end shops. Huge ground floor food hall with replica authentic street market food. 2 nice outdoor viewing areas on 3rd and 7th floor. Beautiful musical light and fountain show every evening. Most of the river cruise boats leave from here so very busy with tourists.

ICONSIAM is more than just a shopping mall—it’s an experience. Located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, it combines luxury brands, local designer boutiques, and an indoor floating market that celebrates Thai culture. The architecture is breathtaking, blending modern elegance with traditional touches, and the views of the river are stunning both by day and night. With world-class dining, art installations, and endless entertainment, ICONSIAM is a must-visit destination for shoppers and culture lovers alike.
