Idol Hotel

The location is excellent, with several metro stations nearby, making it super convenient for getting around Paris. Despite being in a central area, the hotel maintains a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, which makes for a relaxing stay. The rooms and shower space are definitely on the smaller side, which might be a drawback for some. The shower itself, however, had excellent hot water and pressure—much appreciated after a long day out. The room, while compact, was spotlessly clean, and the small, vintage-style elevator actually added a bit of charm to the overall experience. If only the shower and room were just a little bigger, it would’ve been near-perfect. Still, everything else—from cleanliness to comfort and location—made up for it. There’s no 4.5-star option here, but I’m rounding up to 5 stars because it truly felt like a place made with care. Would happily stay again!

Our stay was overall okay but definitely not what you’d expect from a 4 star hotel. The location is great, surrounded by nice cafés, restaurants and with easy access to the metro. The bedding was comfortable, though the mattress felt like it had seen one too many winters and had a noticeable dip when lying on it. Unfortunately there were quite a few downsides. There was no kettle in the room, which was especially annoying since it rained most days. We both had a cold and asked the receptionist if we could get one, but he rudely refused. He was generally unfriendly, both during our stay and again at checkout. The other staff members however were much nicer. The rooms are not soundproof at all, you hear everything from the hallway and every door closing sounds like a small alarm. The WiFi was also a hassle: to get it working we had to go down to the lobby, forget the unsecured WiFi and reconnect to the secure one. The staff didn’t seem to know how to fix it. There’s no smart TV and the booking process was a bit misleading since the city tax wasn’t included, making the price seem cheaper than it really was. If you’re lucky with the weather it can still be a pleasant stay thanks to the area. But overall it’s not worth the price and don’t expect 4 star comfort or service. A bit more kindness from the staff would have made a big difference.

Staying at Idol Hotel was one of my best memories of Paris during my recent stay. Nearly everything inside and in the surrounding area is music-themed, and the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the Opera and Galeries Lafayette. There are also several metro stations nearby. The staff are super friendly, and special mention to one of the receptionists, Enzo, who was very kind and helpful. He helped us get a room with balcony and we enjoyed drinking champagne there in the evening. 5/5 stars - I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely love to stay there again.

I was really quite pleasantly surprised at this hotel. We picked this place for convenience of location more than anything, but it was a very cool hotel! Very funky but quite tasteful. I had called ahead to have things put in the room for my partner’s birthday- this included an absolutely delicious box of chocolates that lasted us a good few days! It’s very easy to get to most places on foot and there are plenty of buses nearby. The staff were very friendly :)

Disappointed by the Service – Unacceptable for a 4-Star Hotel We stayed at Idol Hotel for five nights. While the room was clean and spacious—as expected for what we paid—the overall experience was unfortunately ruined by extremely poor service on one particular night. Each morning, we asked the reception for fresh towels before leaving, as we did not want room cleaning. This was always handled kindly by the daytime staff. However, one evening around 11:30 PM, we had forgotten to request towels in the morning. When we politely asked the man at the night reception, he responded in an unbelievably rude and unprofessional manner. He told us it was “our problem” and that the cleaning staff wasn’t there. When we explained we needed to shower, his exact response was: “Don’t shower.” Refusing basic hygiene items like towels and speaking to guests this way is completely unacceptable, especially in a 4-star hotel, where service should be available 24/7. We didn’t ask for a room to be cleaned—just towels—and we were left without any for the night. We reported the incident the next morning. The staff apologized mildly and promised to inform management, but no one ever followed up. On our last day, the only response we got was a cold “désolée,” with no responsibility or real apology. This kind of treatment shows a serious lack of professionalism. Sadly, we won’t be returning or recommending this hotel to anyone unless proper training and guest care are taken seriously

I loved my stay at this quirky hotel. It was quiet and I had a lovely 3 night stay. The receptionist was incredibly friendly. Location is also quite central to get around and see tourist attractions.

We were lucky enough to have Awa as our contact person this weekend; and what a gem! The location was perfect for a one-night stay in Paris, and we slept wonderfully. The hotel itself feels a bit dated for the price we payed and could use a refresh here and there, which initially had me leaning towards 3 stars. But meeting Awa changed everything! Super friendly, customer-oriented, and exactly the kind of host you hope for. Thanks to her, it’s a solid 4 stars from us. A real star herself! ✨

This is a fun, somewhat quirky, quite well located with great staff, comfortable rooms, and staff speaks English well. Rooms are unique, based on 60s rock and roll, R&B themes. Will definitely stay again.

We stayed 5 nights at Idol Hotel. The area is very quiet with easy access to the Metro (Europe station). There must be a college/school specializing in music nearby because the neighborhood is full of stores selling musical instruments. We loved the bar around the corner. There is also a little grocery store down the street. A laundry mat is nearby and plenty of restaurants. The hotel is very clean and the staff is nice. The room was little but the beds were very comfortable and the shower was big. Hotel has a cute little patio area to have breakfast or coffee in the morning. We really enjoyed our stay at Idol.

Love this hotel! The friendly service and accommodating staff make this a pleasant stay. The location is close enough to the busy stuff but away from the direct noise for a good night sleep. Room is small but decorated so cute that it makes for a pleasant stay. Free coffee, hot chocolate, espresso and cappuccino is a nice touch. Would definitely come back!

Great little jewel in a quiet part of Paris! We found this place online and booked right away as they had good seasonal prices. It is very nice and chic hotel, with very stylish rooms and interior. It's pretty new, updated, very well kept and has amazing staff. The rooms are very tight but very efficient, you have only what you need, and for the value, we think it's great! Very clean, nice shower, bed was amazingly comfortable, and the view we had was towards a cute Parisian courtyard. The location was awesome too, right by Europe metro stop, there's two great bakeries on the corner, plus great breakfast place that has French buffet on the weekends. All within 3 min walk. We walked to a lot of places from the hotel, the staff will tell you what to go see if you're bored one evening, or what restaurant to try! Overall, we're super happy with our 5 night stay!

This hotel was by far one of the greatest my husband and I stayed in. The staff was so accommodating and pleasant. We arrived and they realized from my husbands passport that it was his birthday and upgraded our room to an amazing suite! It was clean, really cool decor and the music was always playing in the lobby. The breakfast nook seemed pleasant although we didn't opt for the breakfast included package. They have a large espresso machine in the lobby as well! The location is not so bad- supermarket down the street, a few restaurants in walking distance, 2 metro locations were within walking distance that could easily get you anywhere you need to be in the city. We tried a local sushi restaurant about 1 block from the hotel and the food was great. The small creperie nearby was also a good option for dinner or dessert. Overall, we loved staying at he idol hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

The hotel itself is cute, centrally located and in a good area. The main issue I have is I booked this hotel with 2 other colleagues and for some reason (although I asked for an upgrade at check in and also checked in earlier than my colleague) my room is in a shoebox. Buyers beware that some of the rooms are 29 square feet and barely livable. Other issues- there is no air conditioning despite the high temps- the hotel is stuck on heat. I have tried to upgrade for 2 days in a row, the managers tell me to pack and confirm with the next time slot manager who never has a clue on what was discussed. This is completely frustrating and I clearly will never recommend this hotel to my coworkers again. The lack of communication and hand off of messaging is terrible.

On my recent trip to Paris, my family decided to stay at a cute boutique hotel rather than a big American hotel chain (Hilton, Marriott, etc.). My mom found the idol hotel and showed me the pictures online and I was excited to see the place in person. Once we arrived the staff was EXTREMELY friendly. Probably the best staff I have ever seen at a hotel. They showed us our room and it was absolutely gorgeous. Each room has a different theme and the pictures honestly do not do it justice. The rooms were so clean and everything was amazing. The staff was so kind to us and seriously made our trip 10x better. I would like to thank Mel, Jessica, and the rest of the staff who truly helped make our stay in Paris amazing. Every morning they would help us plan what to do and how to get there. I have never gotten hotel service like this before! If you are coming to Paris and want a great hotel, Idol hotel is a definite must!

What can I say... this hotel is amazing, unique, friendly staff, great breakfast, perfect location, great restaurants all around the area, close to the subways, and groovy groovy groovy. I had the the best time staying here. I know upon my return this is where I will stay and I want the same Feeling Good room! Thanks for an awesome stay!!

Austin powers themed hotel! Super Groovy. If you've seen the Austin powers movies, this hotel looks like it's came right from the movies. Relatively small boutique hotel with one small elevator and very small rooms maybe 200 sq feet. They are very clean and nice. Rooms remind me of a studio apartment where the showers are a decor in the room. If you are going with family or friends, this hotel wouldn't be for you as you'll watch the other person shower. However I went with my wife and it all was groovy!

Loved this hotel! Fun and funky decor. Comfy bed, clean rooms, great shower with strong water pressure. The staff was helpful and friendly. Only two blocks from the metro, making it very convenient. Grocery store and good restaurants down the street. Would return in a heartbeat!
