Idre Tour Mongolia

As a solo traveller it was not easy to find a tour to join, I am really thankful to Jigden for making the tour come true for me. Jigden was very accommodating and did all the logistics to match me with other like-minded travellers. Our tour guide Boogii was attentive to our needs and made sure we were well taken care of. Tserigol our trusty driver navigated the roads (on and off) well and made our entire trip very comfortable.|Definitely looking forward to going back to Mongolia and travel with Idre tour again. Highly recommended!

Second time traveling with Gira as a local guide, and just like the first time, everything went smoothly. She's a true beauty queen who makes sure everything runs smoothly. Not only does she cook delicious food and create a great atmosphere, but she's also a master at arranging things with locals so that guests get the best possible experience of the country. Basic and remote but the best tour ever! I saw so many beautiful places in Mongolia from the upper west all the way to the north and back to Ulaanbatar.

I had to wait for the dust to settle after such an incredible trip and, now that I have finally managed to find my footing again, I want to share exactly just how much fun I had with my friends and especially with Kate, the Idre Tours guide who took what would have otherwise still been an amazing experience in an amazing country and made it ten thousand times better.||The itinerary was very carefully thought out and provided the right balance between the amount of time spent driving through a wilderness that just refused to become boring during the two weeks spent there and the time spent hiking, sightseeing, meeting some of the warmest people and host families you can imagine, trying out the local cuisine and drinks and taking in a culture that has every reason to be proud of itself. Our journey took us through the central and southern part of the country and I am pretty sure it is no exaggeration to say that every day had completely different lanscapes and experiences in store.||I would like to make it clear that such a trip, while absolutely exceeding in being exactly as accommodating as it needs to be, is meant for travellers who are open to understanding their destination and its endearing quirks and who are willing to depart from what they know and what they might unreasonably expect. Should you go there seeking what you are already familiar with or used to, you will very probably end up disappointed and that would be no one's fault but yours.||My friends and I, we had a blast in Mongolia, a flawless experience that we've already told everyone about. From our driver, a true character in all the best ways, to Jigden, who professionally overlooked all the administrative details of our trip, the staff has been a source of nothing but certainty that our journey would go without a single hitch. And Kate, if you're reading this, I want you to know once again that we're more than grateful to have made such a great friend in Mongolia, one who, beyond all the fun times we've shared together, remains one of the most professional, knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guides we've ever encountered in our travels. Idre Tours and Travels has made my Mongolia Trip so special!! I did the 3d 2n to Semi Gibi and Kharkhorin and my Tour Guide, Idre, was amazing! He knew so much about the history, spoke fluent English and every moment ensured that have a comfortable trip! He cooked me spaghetti when he realized (day2 dinner) that all meals in Day 2 dinner had beef (and I don't eat beef). He specially went to the market to get me some spaghetti and cooked at the campsite in Kharkhorin for me. I really appreciate this gesture! ||Initially as a female solo traveller, I have to admit, I was a bit uncertain but throughout the trip, Idre, made sure I felt safe and comfortable. He even stopped in many places to show me vultures and eagles flying and explain to me how horses drink water and many more things. He also patiently answered all the questions I asked about Mongolian Culture as I was new to their culture. ||I would highly recommend Idre Tours and Travels and Idre as a tour guide!

This is a review of the Idre Tours. We were a group of 5 friends, and had a great tour through central Mongolia with Idre Tours. Our guide and driver were amazing, kind and very experienced. My highlights were the real home stays, especially at the horse family and at the family home of our guide, and camping in the wilderness of Mongolia. However, it was nice to have hot water and a shower at the more commercial gers-stays. |Activities included wonderful hikes, horse riding, the Madaan festival and visiting temples. ||I totally recommend Idre Tours!

We did the Gobi/Central Mongolia tour for 10 days and had an amazing time! This was not only due to the stunning landscapes and sights but also because of our great guide Gira and our fantastic driver Tawka. They really made this trip memorable.|Gira was very careful and attentive to our needs and wishes and cooked delicious and plentiful meals for us every day (she also provided tasty vegetarian options). She even took us to visit her own family. We had long and insightful conversations with Gira about nomadic life, Mongolian culture and society, which she was really open about.|Tawka wasn‘t so talkative (due to the language barrier), but still as friendly as it gets and very funny - and a very competent driver who navigated the bumpy roads with ease and made us feel at home in his Furgon van which we grew to love, since we spent so much time in it.|We chose the midrange option which turned out to be a great choice since we alternated between homestays in simple Gers of nomadic families and more comfortable tourist camps with the option to shower or buy a cold beer in the evenings. Still, we were interested in meeting the nomadic families and learning about their lifestyle, which it turned out not all of them wanted as much as us. for some families, it seemed, the tourists are just a source of revenue, and so they weren‘t really present or interested in talking to us. Other families were lovely and very accommodating.|We had booked the tour online and Jigden helped to set everything up. He was very forthcoming and accommodating.|I would definitely book with Idre tours again, they are competent and professional, but still authentic and easygoing. Thank you for everything!

I just completed a tour of Gobi and Central Mongolia with Idre Tours. Jigden was very responsive via email, the trip was well organised, food was amazing, and nothing we asked to see or do along the way was considered too difficult. Gana (our Guide) and Baysaa (our driver) and the tour group made the trip fantastic. There were SO many highlights but what stands out is sand boarding down the dunes at Khongor Els, riding to/ swimming at the Orkhon waterfall and drinking yak vodka with a nomad family....I just wish I had stayed longer as this trip to Mongolia was one of the highlights of my life!
