If Patagonia Hotel

Our stay in this hotel was short but comfortable. The rooms are a little on the small side, but there are plenty of seating areas and niches in common areas. The shower was in need of repair. The breakfast was plentiful and included fresh and home made produce.

We’re coming to the end of a four night stay at Hotel If. Our room was as the title suggests clean and comfortable. There is not a lot of hanging space for clothes so get ready to live out of your case for a few days. That aside the hotel is very nice and very relaxed. The location is a couple of minutes from the centre and less that that to the waterside so it is excellent. Breakfast is good and available up from 06:30 till 10am. Santolla restaurant next door with the same owners as the hotel is fantastic. My only suggestion to the hotel it to add some more coat hangers and perhaps some hooks on the back of doors. A couple of tweaks and the rooms would be more usable. Most important our bed was big and comfortable. If you use the shower and there appears to be no hot water just let it run for a while, one review suggested that there was no hot water, this was wrong.

Great location close to everything but the rooms are small and basic - essentially a bed, chair, bedside tables, lamps and a small place to hang clothes.||We had a room on the top floor which had great views and there’s a room terrace with even better views too. The bathroom is small with a fairly old fashioned shower cubicle which wasn’t the nicest to use.||Breakfast is continental in style but very nicely done and the cake is delicious.||Staff were friendly but could have explained more about the amenities eg the hot tub and neighbouring restaurant (which is fantastic).

Someone called it basic and this is a good summary. Nice decor but only the most fundamental accommodation. Rooms clean but small. No cupboards just brick shelves for backpacks etc. Shower and jacuzzi bath in our room, just one unit is enough. No control of a/c. Some plugs don’t work. Breakfast very basic but adequate except the coffee which is undrinkable. Some of the staff are very helpful, others less so. Being denied help with six suitcases up to the third floor is a challenge for a septuagenarian. There is no lift.

Hotel was a little on the expensive side, but met all our expectations. The place was modern and well decorated, and the room very comfortable. The staff were helpful. There was a small jacuzzi and sauna outside. The breakfast was complimentary, and included all the standard Chilean items. ||Despite being close to the water there was no view from our room of the jacuzzi/sauna.

Interesting hotel entrance with lovely wooden stairs but no lift. Panoramic viewpoint at the top. The bedroom was very small and hot with no controls in the room. We kept both windows open all night but the street noise meant it was difficult to sleep. There is no where to sit in the room. The buffet breakfast was continental with cereals,toast,and cold meats.

Our stay was unplanned due to illness. Thanks to the caring and kindness of Isabel, we enjoyed our stay and felt like special guests in her home. The room was good and we had a nice view of the harbor. The location was excellent as we could easily walk around the town. She made sure we had food for breakfast as one of us was on a restricted diet. Would highly recommend this hotel, and the added bonus was their superb restaurant next door. We felt we ‘lucked out’ staying at IF and a difficult situation turned into a pleasant surprise.|Pat & Dick

We stayed here one night, pretty basic hotel. Large bed, small room, toilet did not work but they took care of it. Breakfast was continental style with a choice of ways you want your eggs cooked. Front desk staff helpful. Excellent gourmet restaurant next door.
