Total Scam and Waste of Money
I recently visited iFly Singapore and had a very disappointing experience. I feel completely scammed and regret spending my money here.
They advertise a 45-minute training session, but all we got was a short video and some basic hand signals. There was no actual training before the flight. Once you're inside, your first flight is already the real one, not a practice – which makes the whole “training” pointless.
The actual ride lasted about 30–40 seconds, and we barely hovered 5–7 feet off the ground. After the two extremely short flights, the instructor suddenly offers a “high flight” for an extra $50 which just feels like a trap because that’s the only time they actually take you up to a decent height. Why isn’t that included in the base package?
I ended up spending:
-$109 for the basic ride
-$35 for the poor-quality photo/video package (camera angles are terrible – low and unclear – clearly done to push people into buying)
-$50 for the high flight upsell
All this for a total of 10 minutes (if that) of actual activity. Staff were generally rude and unhelpful, seemed irritated when asked basic questions. The whole experience felt rushed and overly commercialized.
The only positive part was the instructor Darryl Ng, who was friendly and professional – but unfortunately, that doesn’t justify the overall waste of money.
Avoid this place unless you enjoy spending nearly $200 for a 10-minute gimmick.
