Large space, although it was full of people when we were there. The food and drink offerings are okay. They offer rice, soup, some meat dishes, salads, and desserts. They also offer coffee, tea, soda, and water. It's nearer to the A-B gates in the departure area. I wish the cleaners could have cleared off the empty and used plates more quickly. The lounge has a nice view of the departure area.

This lounge has a lot of space to relax and enjoy your meal. There are plenty of food options, but the choices might be limited. I have access through my Priority card membership, so I can enjoy the lounge without any worries. There’s also a shower available if you need to freshen up. And guess what? They have a bar with hard liquor, so you can unwind with a drink after your meal. Oh, and did I mention they had a live action omelette service? It was absolutely amazing! 😋

The IGA Lounge at Istanbul Airport offers a comfortable space with plenty of seating. The buffet is decent, with a good variety of hot and cold dishes. While not gourmet, the food selection is sufficient for a satisfying meal. The lounge is well-maintained, with a clean and modern atmosphere. One of its standout features is the availability of showers, which are a great asset for long layovers. The restrooms and common areas are kept tidy, adding to the overall comfort. Despite being busy at times, seating is generally available. The bar provides a nice selection of drinks, making it a relaxing spot before a flight. Service is efficient, though peak hours can lead to minor wait times. Overall, it’s a solid choice for travelers looking for a clean and comfortable pre-flight experience.

My Experience at IGA Lounge – Istanbul Airport If you have ever visited the IGA Lounge at Istanbul Airport, the first thing that catches your attention is its spacious area and beautiful design. It’s definitely a great place to relax before your flight. When it comes to beverages, the variety is impressive, and there’s something for every taste. However, when it comes to food, the quality and selection are quite disappointing. The food is usually served cold, and the section offering traditional Turkish dishes is always crowded with long queues. Personally, I’ve never had the chance to try it because of the long waiting times. On the other hand, the salad section is quite good, which at least provides a decent option. Another issue is with the desserts: the sweets are overly sugary, which might not appeal to those who prefer a more balanced taste. What surprises me the most is that despite the high number of passengers using this business lounge, no improvements have been made to the service. I have visited multiple times, yet the same issues remain. Overall, the IGA Lounge offers a spacious and comfortable place to relax and wait for your flight. However, when compared to the Turkish Airlines Business Lounge, it simply doesn’t match up. Turkish Airlines provides superior food quality, better service, and an overall much better experience.🌹🤷‍♀️

Agree with all the reviews below. Aesthetic lounge but very poorly managed. Does not feel lux lux and way overcrowded. Also, staffs are varied. Some staffs are really nice, some is quite cold. They got massage, shower (disposable towels are provided so very sanitary), buffet, faith room,... really everything you could ask for while laying over.

I had a 9 hour layover in Istanbul and decided to check out the iGA Lounge. I usually don’t like going to the lounges anymore due to the high volume of people and long wait times. But this lounge was an exception. The lounge is incredibly spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and unwind. The food was delicious, with a great variety of options, and the beers were equally enjoyable. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive, ensuring everything was taken care of. I especially appreciated the showers – they were clean, comfortable, and perfect for refreshing before my flight. Overall, it was a great place to relax, and I highly recommend stopping by if you're at the airport!

It is one of the biggest airport lounge with so many food and drink. There is one inconvenience due to the crowded place, it is a bit hard to find the seat especially for those who come in a big group. However, we can enjoy lots of Turkish food, with free flow of soft dring, wine, beer, and cocktail.

Excellent experience. 2 bars, 2 buffets, a lot of tables, very comfortable. Open terrace for those who smoke or want a fresh year. Good food.

Yelp
The lounge is fairly clean, with ample seating space that makes it easy to find a spot to relax. I have priority pass so it allows 3 hours of access. The shower area is also kept clean, although it would be more convenient if towels were provided. The food is served buffet style, and there's a coffee/tea bar for beverages. While the food wasn't to my liking, it seemed to be enjoyed by other patrons. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't very friendly or helpful, which was a bit disappointing.

Yelp
Home away from home, huge space and loads of selection to cater to everyone's needs, well almost everyone. :) Attentive service staff and welcoming towards your requests. We spend a few hours waiting for our connecting flight and the time flew by.

Yelp
Had an amazing experience at IGA Turkey. the line wasn't too long both times we went so the check in process was easy. Food options were plentiful... plenty of seating area, clean restrooms, shower area, free locker. Atmosphere was very relaxing, They have an outdoor patio area for smokers, they have a masseuse on duty certain days of the week, which is complimentary with your membership. Amex Platinum abs priority pass gets you in.

Yelp
This lounge was amazing! The buffet had a great variety of local and authentic food. There was lots of seating and plenty of spots to charge your devices. They also had a shower, spa, spacious restroom, and a smoking area. I took off one star because the guy at the front desk charged me for entry when it should've been free. I had to reach out to customer service to get my money back.

Yelp
Lounge was on the ABCDE Gate side. Which is the left side of the airport when you come out from customs. It's very large and clean. I personally like the food they offered. Refreshing salads, cheese, pastries and some hot food options. Service is on point. They will clean quietly after you leave. Very comfortable lounge in the middle of the best shopping area!

Yelp
If your flight gets delayed while in Istanbul, it's not the worst problem to have... not with a lounge like this anyway. This lounge is massive! It's almost like a hotel. It tastes up an entire floor. I was a bit worried when I saw the line that the lounge wouldn't be able to accommodate everyone but somehow there was space. This lounge has everything from buffet style food to a children's play area, prayer rooms, showers, free massages and napping spaces. It's really impressive. I didn't make use of all the services, but I did check out the food. It was all traditional Turkish fare. Don't expect pizza or burgers here. The salads and desserts are self serve but they all have served food as well. There was rice, chicken, falafel, some puffed pastries. They even have hot soups. All very good. The line moved quickly as well especially considering the number of people. The staff is very attentive as well. They're always cleaning up the tables and seats. Be careful not to leave things around or they might throw it away accidentally! There were some things I didn't like as much about the lounge. They did have outlets for working and some designated work stations but the WiFi situation was kind of annoying. I was already aware from previous layovers at the airport that you need to request a designated code to access the WiFi, but I didn't think the same would apply in the lounge. I thought they'd have a separate WiFi but I guess not. You need to actually find a kiosk, scan your passport and get a personalized code. It would be better if it was just open WiFi. Also the code is only valid for 4 hours. Another thing I didn't love were the bathrooms. I was happy to see they had showers but they weren't as clean as I would expect. They also don't have family changing rooms from what I saw. Even with its flaws, this is still one of the best lounges I've visited.

Yelp
Great place to refuel; best moussaka so far in all of the Middle Eastern lounges. The fam agrees and hoping our next stop is just as great

Yelp
Clean bathrooms and lots of service workers. There's a dessert bar, salad bar and a non self serve hot bar. There's no Turkish pizzas here tho. Got the rice with chicken and kebab. The chicken and kebab were dry. I did get my flavored water in with cinnamon, lemon and cucumber. There's no massage on Monday or Thursday so I'm a bit sad about that.

Yelp
Very well taken care of with many staff members working. Very friendly. There are electric outlets all around, but all 220, so if you just have your usb cords, no charging. Except they do have a charging locker station, where you can plug your devices and lock it. Three of the most common plugs per locker. But it's pretty slow. And you can't use your phone while it's charging. USB ports would be a welcome change. There are hot and cold foods for breakfast. Nothing outstanding, but everything is fresh and clean. Drinks include hard liquor. Everything is self serve. Three lounge chairs looking out the window. Not terribly comfortable. I saw some peep people sleeping in them, but I couldn't. Nice for a" pop up " lounge.

Yelp
During our 5-hour layover at Istanbul Airport, we stumbled upon [Souvenir IGA shop, and it turned out to be a delightful way to pass the time! This shop is a treasure trove of Turkish culture, offering everything from intricately designed ceramics to colorful scarves, Turkish delight, and spices. The selection of items feels thoughtfully curated, making it easy to pick up meaningful gifts rather than generic souvenirs. We were especially drawn to their display of hand-painted tiles and beautiful evil eye charms. Prices were what you'd expect at an airport--slightly higher than in the city--but the convenience of grabbing unique Turkish items during a layover made it worth it. Plus, they had a good range of affordable options alongside more luxurious goods. If you're at Istanbul Airport with time to kill, definitely stop by. It's a great way to get a little taste of Turkish culture before heading to your next destination!

Yelp
Oh man, this was my first lounge experience and it was so great! Very refreshing to enter such a lavish space and get to relax during a 9hr layover !! I landed very early in the morning and was able to go into the IGA Lounge and rest in a comfortable area. They have lockers when you first enter that you can use to lock up valuables and then proceed to a nice buffet with healthy options. They have several different spaces for resting, some where kids are allowed, some that are adult only for quieter areas. I went to an adult-only area that had peaceful music, comfy seating and just fell asleep. I took a look at the buffet, but nothing really appealed to me. It all looked very healthy and (I assume) somewhat traditional to Turkey, but having a sensitive stomach, I didn't want to try anything too out of my norm before a 13 hour flight. With the lounge pass, you are granted 6 hours in the lounge (I think I stayed for almost the full 6). No one kicked me out... and I'm not sure how they'd track it/you if you stayed longer, but I ventured out to explore the rest of the huge airport so it was a great amount of time for me to spend in the lounge. I actually purchased the lounge pass on my incoming flight -- I initially had an 8 hr layover which ended up changing to a 2 hr layover. The folks at the front desk definitely seemed confused that I wanted to see if I could change my entry day to 8 days later, but they assured me that I could do just that. I was skeptical, but luckily I was able to enter with no problem when I was leaving and it all worked out great! There are several lounges at the airport, but I thought this was a pretty good deal with so many amenities! I definitely recommend this lounge! Also forgot to mention, the upscale decor was so nice, I saw several people maintaining the buffet, cleaning restrooms, tidying up and keeping this place very clean! Loved it!

Yelp
Had a three hour layover in Istanbul while on the way to Italy and was able to access this lounge via Priority Pass. Show our pass at check in and you'll scan a barcode to enter into the lounge. Not too much of a queue for us but I could definitely see there being one at times. HUGE lounge, very spacious, but can also get pretty busy at times. Multiple food areas featuring mezze and dessert buffets as well as multiple beverage areas and a couple bars. Also a couple dedicated food areas including some hot food, pide (Turkish flatbread), pasta, and grilled meat. Plenty of seating and very different types of it. Couches, lounge chairs, barstool, and more. Also a massage station offering 7-10 min complimentary massages. Bathroom is expansive and features showers and toiletries.

Yelp
We were on a six hour layover early part of October on our way to Egypt. SFO to IST to CAI. As part of our Priority Pass membership we were able to enter the IGA Lounge located on the mezzanine. No more than three hours stay in the lounge it stated. Obviously our layover was greater. By the time we made our way to the lounge, there was a queue. We showed our boarding passes. Then scanned them for entry into the lounge. It's a huge footprint. A great place to unwind and relax for a few hours before you get on your next flight. Highlight was their take on pizza flatbread. Every twenty minutes if you miss it. There's only so many out of the oven at a time. There's a pasta station, salad station, hot food station, and dessert station. Non alcoholic beverages and a couple of bars. We enjoyed this lounge. Afterwards we hustled over to our departure gate. I saw showers but the area appeared closed while we were there.

Yelp
One of the best lounges there is! There is often a live string quartet or ensemble playing at the entrance. The food is fantastic with three hot food counters where food is cooked in front of you. The absolute favorite is the Pide counter. This disappears as soon as the chef brings the pide out! There is a whole salad area and cold mezze section. Around the corner is a coffee section with a selection of traditional Turkish biscuits- my favorite! The seating is varied with different types of areas all around the huge lounge. You can lay back, lounge or sit at a cafe style area. The one thing that is a little frustrating is the Wi-Fi. It's available but you have to register and get a code at a Wi-Fi stop. Other than that, sit back and relax and this lounge and indulge in a Turkish feast!
google avatar

Yelp
An enormous 60,000 square foot with all the amenities. The bar is located on a lower level overlooking the terminal. The food selection is a little on the light side.

Yelp
We were transiting to the Maldives and have been traveling for 25 hours including layovers. We arrived in Istanbul around 23:30 and lucky for us, IGA Lounge is open 24 hours. They are fully staffed and you would never guess that it's the middle of the night because the food is fresh and the staff are upbeat and so welcoming. After transiting for so long, I longed for a hot shower and was able to get into a shower room right away. The valet in the women's restroom was so sweet and she asked me if I needed the shower in Turkish. I said yes and she handed me towels, a shower loofah, and Q-tips. The shower room was huge and clean. There was a bench to put your stuff on, a vanity, mirror, and hair dryer. They provide shampoo and body wash and the flooring in the shower was slats of teak over tiles so you don't have to worry about slipping. The bathmat outside the shower is also teak. The valet was so sweet and I tipped her $5 USD. She saw me walk out with my hair a mess and offered a comb but I declined since my hair is super easy and tamed itself as it dried. Now onto the lounge...it is huge!! It is the largest lounge I have been in ever and the Delta one in ATL is 25k sq ft!! There is a private duty free shop INSIDE the lounge and they were running a sale of buy 3, get the 4th free. The food was absolutely delicious at midnight and was ao fresh! The baba ghanoush was the best I've ever had!! The yogurt soup was amazing and the ezogelin soup was a tangy, tomato based soup with either lentils or garbanzo beans. They have a refreshments area with soft drinks, espresso machine, and fresh, hot tea. They also have a full bar and pour strong drinks. It could be the tip since we're American and tipping is apart of our culture, but $5 USD is equivalent to 1/100 of what the average individual makes in a month. Because our layover was only 2 hours, we only stayed in the lounge for less than an hour and had to walk so far to F17. This is definitely a place to recharge and clean up after a long haul!

Yelp
IGA Lounge is truly a hidden gem that I can't help but rave about. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, the food! IGA Lounge is a culinary delight that will leave your taste buds dancing with joy. Their menu offers a delectable variety of dishes that cater to all palates. From mouthwatering appetizers to indulgent main courses, each dish is a carefully crafted masterpiece. The flavors are vibrant, the ingredients are fresh, and the presentation is impeccable. The attentive staff at IGA Lounge truly elevate the dining experience. They are friendly, and always ready to offer recommendations or cater to any dietary preferences or restrictions. Their warm hospitality adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the already delightful ambiance. Speaking of ambiance, IGA Lounge provides a peaceful and serene setting that is perfect for unwinding in between connecting flights. The soft lighting, comfortable seating, and tasteful decor create an atmosphere that encourages relaxation. The combination of clean bathrooms, delectable food, and a peaceful ambience truly sets IGA Lounge apart from the rest. It's a place where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the busy airport and indulge in a memorable dining experience. Whether you're a food enthusiast, a connoisseur of comfort, or simply seeking a place to unwind, IGA Lounge is the perfect destination. In conclusion, I can't recommend IGA Lounge enough. They tick all the boxes for a remarkable dining experience.

Yelp
One of the lounges, to which you do not need to have a b-class ticket or a power loyalty card to be let in. You can just pay the fee on entrance. The space of this lounge is pretty vast, food and drinks selection is a bit average, but one can live with it.

Marianne T.

Yelp
The dirtiest showers I have ever used. I received a piece of plastic as a towel. Very poor quality food, it reminded me of the old communist times, lots of bread, potatoes but meat almost inexistent. Overcrowded people were eating on the floor. one of the worst 100$ investment in my life.
google avatar

Seema Z.

Yelp
This is a huge lounge. Considering this airport has so many flights and long layover connections this is still always busy. They have a great hot and cold mezze selection and the hot bar food options change often. They have full bar with drinks including Turkish rake and Turkish coffee that's made to order. They also have the usual coffee machines that vend coffee in latte/cappuccino style. Do try their fresh Turkish coffee pots. Of the food I liked the hot selection better and the pide station. Be mindful, they are served hot and every 20 Min. And run out within minutes. So line up!! Their Kafka and pasta station is also great. I didn try thr showers but they have a luggage storage but you would be lucky to find a spot. If you do, you can stroll ard at ease and enjoy the views the lounge had to offer of the terminal

Yelp
3 stars for food 4 stars for seating 5 stars for ambiance Food Food is good, but the drawback is that they are not constantly putting out new food so you may wait awhile for food items to be replaced. - There is an omelette bar...if it is open. - There is a hot food bar that has simit and other Turkish food. - Cold bar has cheese, olives, and yogurt. Drinks - There is a full bar. - Water bottles are available. - Coffee machines. - Turkish tea. Seating This was by far the largest lounge that I've been to. There are multiple areas from seating from chairs to tables. The only drawback is that the chairs are not comfortable and you may not get seating with outlets. Other - They have massages 5 days of the week. When we were there it opened at 8am and walked over and they put out a sign that the masseuse was on a break. We left at 9am and no one ever arrived. - There is an outdoor area for smokers. - They have a pool table - Clean bathrooms. - Prayer rooms available.

Yelp
At first, this lounge seemed like the coldest of all time. Huge seating area. Showers. Nice bar. Pool table. Lots of food kiosks. Kids play area. Duty free shop inside. But... the food is pretty weak. Cheese, olives, yogurt. All this kulaks have the same thing. And it's heck of far from many of the gates.

Nazli T.

Yelp
They tried to charge for wheelchair service to my guests. My family from abroad arrived and I had shared that they can use this service but of course some dishonest swindler tried to take advantage of them. The person who needed a wheelchair had to walk!
google avatar

Yelp
If you can get into this lounge for free then a decent place to visit. There are a few other lounges that are better than this one. Nice that they have hot showers with fresh towels. Food items are okay but not many options. Wi-Fi has decent speeds and one good thing about this place are the tall open ceilings of the airport and can people watch from above. :-) There was a delicious dish with eggs, cheese, and tomato called Menemen. For sure would return when in Istanbul.

Yelp
Pathetic lounge... long line to get in and Amex platinum members don't get in any faster. Another disappointment as far as Amex's priority pass goes

John S.

Yelp
While I may have been tempted to give this a 2 star review, I will keep it as a 1 purely because of the degree to which the service has declined here since the last time I visited in 2022. The staff are rude, the bathrooms were dirty every time I entered over a 12 hour period which I stayed due to delayed flights, the quality and variety of food is worse and they change it significantly less frequently, there are fewer (non-alcoholic) drink choices (you have coke, fanta, an energy drink or water), though I cannot personally comment on the alcoholic drinks provided as I prefer to travel sober. The showers are not cleaned between guests at all (saw and experienced this while waiting for my shower) and most of the comfortable seats have been removed Including anything you can properly lie down on. Without having been here before, this vould maybe barely scrape by as a 2 star review, having been here before I am left bitter and dissapointed, especially considering the increased price tag of 170 euro's. Avoid at all costs, you can book a private room with a bed and a shower while enjoying a lovely meal directly below the lounge for around half the price. I cannot in good faith recommend this to anyone who isnt getting in for free.
google avatar

Lita G.

Yelp
Very large lounge with plenty of seating, duty free store, good bathrooms, showers, even a massage area. Now why only 3 stars? Food was just ok, I was here for breakfast and the options were minimal, especially if you don't like olives. Plus when I went to the nice big bar they have and asked for a mimosa they just said NO, they wouldn't serve me any drinks, from what I saw online seems they may only serve light beer which doesn't make sense while having such a big bar with liquor bottles. Oh well, at least I ate.
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
Fried chicken is great, lentil soup, meatball stew, espresso, full bar. Okay selection and good. Shower is ok. Good if free on priority pass
google avatar

Carlotta C.

Yelp
Considering the airport itself is super busy and expensive, I think it's worth coming here for a little bit if you have a long layover. My layover was 4hours long between a 9 hour and 11 hour flights, so I wanted to shower, eat and rest. I arrived at around 11am and it was very busy, it got less busy as the afternoon went by. I joined the shower waiting list and got some food. They have a pide station but they come out every 25 minutes and they are gone within 5 minutes, so if you want to make sure you get some I suggest you set an alarm and line up right away. The rest of the food is fine. They have a salad bar, some desserts, and some pre-made sandwiches. They also have a hot food bar with daily specials, and a selection of juice, soda, coffee and tea. Overall the food was nothing special but not worse than what you would get in the airport restaurants. I finally got called for the shower, and I was disappointed that at noon they had already ran out of large towels. But alas I showered and felt much better. I wouldn't say it's worth the price they charge, but I would still prefer it to the regular airport and waiting areas.
google avatar

Dee C.

Yelp
This is a huge lounge with many sittings and a buffet. The soft drinks in the fridge are not cold enough. They have a full bar. The food is mediocre at best. If you have time and don't want to shop at Duty Free or for more Turkish delights and you are able to get in for free with your priority pass, come in, get a drink and relax.
google avatar

Austin G.

Yelp
Hands down the best airport lounge I've experienced. It's massive with plenty of tables across several dining rooms and terraces. There are showers, a piano, a pool table, a bar. And the food stations are great with a pasta bar, a pide station, etc. You also can get four hours of free wifi from a kiosk inside.
google avatar

Arash R.

Yelp
An average lounge which is too crowded and staff is rude and least helpful. Bartender has an attitude as if he works at Vanderpump's. I hopped there to get a shower since Turkish Lounge had its showers closed. For those who like to smoke there is a smoking terrace which is a good place to get some fresh air ( well that's relative considering all the jet fuel fumes in the air ). If you have priority pass and want to hop lounges, it's worth checking out. If you're paying out if pocket, spend your money elsewhere.

Doug A.

Yelp
Not a fan. Considering how huge this airport is and all the shops and stores and places to eat, the only thing this place has going for it is seating. It is gigantic. The chairs are not comfortable. At all. Most don't have outlets and one of the primary reasons I look forward to a lounge is being able to charge my phone. So you have to be crafty and spot a free charger just as their former owners are leaving. Instead, I was treated to a horde of people making chair forts for their families and carving out spots that were theirs alone. I got up to go to the bathroom and saw one of the fort builders whisper and point to my lone, uncomfortable chair and I knew they wanted to add it to their collection. I placed my jacket on the chair in an act of defiance, indicating I wasn't done yet. The food. Gross and stale. And zero variety. Again, I've been to much smaller lounges and their fare was much better. Every time I wanted to use the bathroom, they were closed or being cleaned. Every time? Come on, man. And lastly, would it hurt to have some ice handy? Does everything have to be lukewarm? I should be thankful I had a place to rest my head during a nine (9!) hour layover but this place was not great.
google avatar

Avelino C.

Yelp
This is actually a very nice lounge, but it is extremely unorganized. It takes forever to get registered because there's four different lines and they keep moving you around from one line to the other. Once you're inside, there are huge lines for food, because even though there are some items that are for you, to serve yourself, the best food is served to you find individual. Therefore, the lines are very long c two times by the time I got to the front of the line, they ran out of food. It was kind of a joke.

D D.

Yelp
Bad food selection! Huge lounge but always packed, no place to sit or lounge. Dirty, carpets and chairs are gross!
google avatar

Karolina N.

Yelp
Nice lounge though not the best at Istanbul airport. The food selection is not very large or exciting (maybe due to covid?). Plenty of seating all around and there is a full bar available also. Not a bad place to spend time if you have access but if paying for a pass I would go to a different lounge.
google avatar

Takaki I.

Yelp
There are many kinds of refreshments, and they are delicious! I dropped by there at 6 am to spend time until the departure of my transit flight. They have many kinds of refreshments, free wi-fi, and shower rooms as well. That have huge space , and It wasn't clouded at all, so I could have time to relax. Please try this lounge when you visit the Istanbul Airport!!

Smokes C.

Yelp
I had a four hour layover decided to pay 100 USD to go relax in there lounge. However I was treated poorly. Bartender ignored and demanded I move closer to him in order to take my order ... I thought that was strange because everyone else sitting at the bar did not have to move to place an order. he proceeded to be more disappointing when he took the order of a another customer who walked up in my same spot and told me to wait AGAIN.
