lots of portraits of benefactors. and some interesting additional artwork, plus artifacts that give historical context on why the Misericordia has been so important to Porto. i'm really not sure if it's worth the time or money to visit this. you decide.

Beautiful church to visit. It is connected to the museum and the tower entrance. One thing that drew my attention was the fact that you could see the church from the upper level, from behind the altar! I haven't seen that before, and over visited quite a lot of churches so far, across many countries! A pleasant experience, and when we got there, it wasn't even crowded - allowing us to enjoy the whole experience even more! Definitely recommended!

Very beautiful baroque church. We had the oportunity to witness someone singing at the pipe organ and it made the experience even more interesting. For visiting the church there is no need to purchase tickets. The tickets are for visiting the tower and the museum it is linked to.

We have been told it was a "private" Church. How is it possible? Impossible to just come in. Pray. No priest in August. Shameful. This is becoming Disney land.

What an unexpected and “moving” experience to visit this church and museum. The representation of the Seven Mercies was clearly told. It is a story of sacrificial outreach and care of marginalized humanity throughout the centuries. I was most moved by the awareness that those from the wealthy upper echelon not only gave money but dedicated service to those in desperate need. Church and government and people working together for the betterment of humanity. Important and timeless message.
