I stumbled upon this church while exploring the main square in Tomar and was really impressed. The architecture is stunning, especially the front entrance with its detailed stonework and the tall bell tower—it’s hard to miss.
Inside, the atmosphere is very calm and serene. There are some beautiful old paintings and tiled walls that give you a real sense of the church’s history. It’s not a huge place, but there’s a lot to take in if you enjoy art and old buildings.
It’s free to enter, and when I went, it wasn’t crowded at all, which made the experience even nicer. Definitely worth a quick stop if you’re in the area—it only takes 15–20 minutes to visit, but it leaves a strong impression.
