It was wonderful celebrating a friend’s birthday here. If you’re coming with a group of more than five people, you can easily make a reservation by phone. The whole place and the décor have a strong Mexican vibe, which makes the moment really fun. The food was delicious, especially the dishes with tomato-based sauce. Portions are bigger than average and the food came out pretty quickly. Our waiter was super friendly and always checking on our table. He was also very kind about helping us with the cake we brought from outside and even offered a candle for it. Honestly, it was a great experience and easily a 10/10

Loved them! Visited Iguna when I was on a travel in Budapest! It was my friend’s suggestion and really worth it! It’s amazing, we ordered nachos and fajita, both beef. They were handmade and gluten free, not salty at all compared to the rest of Mexican food around. Although I am not a big fan of Mexican food, the dinner was perfect. The service was fast, fresh, nice and fulfilling. We were both full at the end. The location is quite nice and authentic. Very centrally located close to the parliament. The vibes are traditional inside - as soon as you enter, you receive the vibes of Mexico, which makes the place unique. The restaurant is clean. People were nice and I recommend having a reservation. In means of pricing, it is reasonable and value-to-go. Strongly recommended!

An excellent experience at Iguana Bar and Grill. The atmosphere is lively and warm, with a real Mexican spirit that immediately makes you feel comfortable. The cuisine is generous, flavorful and well prepared, with authentic tastes and perfectly balanced spices. Each dish is carefully presented and truly enjoyable from start to finish. The service is friendly, attentive and efficient, with a team that is welcoming and always ready to help. A great place to enjoy a relaxed meal, whether with friends or family. We truly enjoyed our time here and would gladly come back.

Really great time spent. Super friendly staff. Great options and selection at the menu. We got there without reservations and they hosted us really good. I’m happy with the whole experience. After 3 days in Budapest we were craving for good Mexican food and we found this place. We are vegetarian but a variety like burritos, enchilladas, tacos and quesadillahe. The drinks were great too. Everything was delicious. the service is great and waiters are friendly. Churros is a must buy. The chocolate sauce is thick and delicious and the churros are crispy. The combination of churros chocolate sauce and whipped cream is something to die for. Seems like it is very popular in Budapest as it was full even at 2pm. We got lucky to get a table spontaneously. A must visit if you are a Mexican food fan.

Visited the place with my family of 6, we tasted a starter and several different main courses ending with desserts( Fajitas are so good!) All the foods were amazingly good and excellent quick friendly service. Congrats for the chefs and waiters, higly recommend for a great experience!

We had a lovely 3 course meal at this Mexican restaurant located close to the Hungarian parliament on 2/12/25. Equally as good as the food was the waiter who served us who showed great passion for the job. I don't recall his name but he had a small top knot pony tail. The restaurant is privileged to have this guy as a member of their staff.

Great looking bar and restaurant, super busy as expected in such a touristy spot in Budapest. Food was good but we felt lacked flavour for a Mexican. Chilli spice was 1, 3 or 5 and 3 was extremely mild and it didn’t come with any rice. Quesadillas also had no spice and was 80% onion, I looked inside and found one single slice of pepper. Servers very attentive and friendly, atmosphere great. Food was fine but lacking spice / flavour. For the record I don’t like very spicy food - so that tells you how mild it was!
