This was our 7th trip to Caye Caulker | 3rd stay at Iguana Reef Inn. We have stayed in a Beach View King room once and the #14 Cabana twice. We love the Cabana as it has a small kitchen and living space which allows us to cook | reheat food, make coffee, and relax on the living room area. The Cabana sleeps 6 across the bedroom, loft, pull out couch. The Cabana also has a full size coffee pot -- so important! :-) The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and accomodating (Rose, Ozzy, Solomon, Kingsley, Trenell, and the lovely groundskeepers, housekeeping, and maintenence workers really go above and beyond to make your stay warm and welcoming). The "continental" breakfast is mostly carbs, but since the last time we stayed, yogurt and more fruit selections have been added -- thank you! We love that there is a pool, beach, and bar all onsite. Dozens of amazing restaurants and walk-up food vendors are nearby -- the restaurant selection is truly exceptional. We were happy to see a new policy @ IRI around those using the pool and beach needing to be IRI guests (note: the beach can be used by non-guests for a chair fee or minimum spend at the Tiki Bar). The past couple of times we tried to enjoy the pool, but it was overrun with people who weren't even IRI guests. The beach is one of the nicer ones on Caye Caulker and is a popular place when they feed the Stingrays @ 4pm every day. We've been visiting Belize across the past 15 years and one thing is for sure, the Golf Cart situation on Caye Caulker is out of control -- and most drivers do not GO SLOW (one of the only downsides to Caye Caulker's growing popularity). I wish more people who are able would get off their butts and walk that gorgeous island -- and GO SLOW!
