Greek food, first place I've had saganaki (pan seared flaming cheese appetizer). Nice place to come after walking around the lake.

For a kitchen “regularly voted Best Greek in the East Bay”, I have to say their take-out option on Adeline Street is incredibly disappointing. Ikaros to Go cooks out of the ghost kitchen of Adeline Food Hall and tastes exactly like how you’d imagine something made in a cafeteria that pumps out a dozen different quick cuisines. The fries, gyro meat, vegetables, and even tzatziki sauce taste like they were prepped in a far off factory before being frozen-thawed to go out for delivery. The fries were thick and bland, the meat was clearly pre-cut significantly earlier in the evening (since when is gyro meat not shaven from a rotisserie directly before going out?), and the bell peppers were not only unexpected for a traditional gyro but also dry and cracked around the edges (see picture). Even the tzatziki sauce tasted like it was apologizing for something — maybe that it moonlights as a salad dressing for another ghost restaurant in the hall? I might forgive the generic ready-made meal quality if it weren’t for the $20 price tag (mind you, I picked it up myself to avoid any additional delivery fees — wild to think people are paying even more for this gyro). I have to hope that the quality of this gyro is limited to their ghost kitchen and not the same one that Ikaros serves at their dine-in restaurant. Overall, I would not recommend Ikaros to Go. I truly try not to leave one star reviews unless I really, really mean it — and for this place, I genuinely do. Save yourself the trip to the soulless chamber of the Adeline Food Hall locker room.

Yelp
Ikaros @ Adeline Food Hall 5333 Adeline St Oakland, CA 94608 The Ikaros restaurant in Oakland is now "Ikaros To Go" at the Adeline Food Hall. On Saturday, I had a chance to try this new ghost kitchen. I ordered: - Ikaros Gyro Sandwich, with Lamb and Beef - House Salad - Greek Potato Salad The Gyro was a bit small. But I found it easy to eat. The lamb/beef was tender and tasty. The Gyro was served on a pita with tomatoes, red onions, and tzatziki. The optional side I picked was a Greek Potato salad. The House Salad was large and came with all kinds of good stuff like: Mixed Greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta, red onions, and Kalamata olives. Dressing provided was a balsamic vinaigrette. Pretty good sized healthy salad. Overall a good first experience, and the food quality was excellent. Takeout or delivery only, no dining room or table service.

Yelp
Ordered lunch for 2 while the there. All Except lamb kebabs and Greek fries were good. One of few places than CORRECTLY prepares Greek Horitaki salad! That is without any lettuce! Other cold dips good too. The lamb ordered seared rare was cooked beyond well done & tasteless the fries were soggy. Don't order to go, since unable to return!! My daughter said place to order felt very insecure!

Yelp
Ordered delivery on Uber Eats and wish I'd checked here first. Bowls were ok, but the chicken was overcooked in places and the portions were laughably small. Most egregiously, they put pit-in Kalamata olives in the bowl. Seriously, what are they thinking? How many cents did they save to give me a tooth and choking hazard with my dish?

Yelp
Excellent food and customer service. I highly recommended this restaurant, the pita and hummus is delicious!

Yelp
This was $35, along with a canned soda, an automatic $4.50 tip. Wild... Fries were soggy and chicken was dry

Yelp
I give the highest caterer recommendation to Ikaros To Go (catering by the team that ran Ikaros restaurant). They planned and managed a very delicious memorial dinner for us for approximately 75 guests. The customer service and food were excellent - our menu included roasted salmon, vegetarian mousaka, rice, Greek salad and garlic bread, plus dessert of Baklava and sugar cookies which everyone also loved. They also handled dinnerware, water, lots of set up and clean up, soft drinks and pretty bottled Greek waters for the tables. They were extremely considerate, thoughtful, flexible, organized and reliable. Ikaros to Go went above and beyond and made our event very special. We are very grateful - Thank you Ikaros to Go!

Yelp
Good food with authentic Greek dishes and presentation. Liked the friendly and attentive hospitality. Had the variety platter and enjoyed everything. We'll be back
