A very nice place. It’s clean and the ambience is just right for a relaxation session. The amount of warmth light used is just right. Relaxing background music and a lovely scent to go along. My therapist was Marlene and she’s very attentive and meticulous. Would also do her occasional check in to ensure she applied the right pressure. Onsen room was a good size too. Would definitely recommend if you would like to give yourself a treat!

The massage at Ikeda Spa was good, with pleasant and skillful techniques. However, booking the treatment was quite difficult — especially if you don’t have a Singapore bank card. The process took us over 30 minutes, and we tried several cards (even my partner tried too). In the end, we decided not to go, as you can find equally good massages elsewhere in Singapore.

Google
The spa was excellent. I did not expect them to go so in-depth to ensure the massage and facials we chose were the most effective ones for total relaxation. I have felt so sleepy not from being tired, but feeling so relaxed. I would highly recommend visiting once to see.

Google
Japanese spas respect quiet and tranquil atmosphere. In fact, most spas, Japanese or not, provide this for relaxation and optimal treatment. Maintaining a low noise level is a key part of the ETIQUETTE. Not so at Ikeda. My massage was completely ruined by loud chatting along the narrow corridors near the treatment rooms, and despite my therapist hushing them, they continued in disrespectful loud chatter. I had to get up and intervene. That did not seem to help, because throughout the entire 45 minutes, there was loud banging of doors and the closing of cupboards. The whole area was full of posters telling people to remove shoes, 'don'ts' in the toilet, and instructions at the onsen room, yet the spa did not think to educate clients and staff alike to respect quietness and tranquility. And the best part? Not a word of enquiry nor apology after the treatment, just sullen collection of payment.

Google
I am so glad I found Ikeda Spa! I recently visited for a Deep Sleep Dry Head Massage and it was an amazing experience. The spa has a very calming atmosphere and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. My massage therapist was very skilled and I felt completely relaxed afterwards. I would highly recommend Ikeda Spa to anyone looking for a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

Google
I always look forward to my monthly facial at Ikeda Spa. The service is consistently excellent — professional, skillful, and relaxing. The therapists are highly trained, the products are of great quality, and the environment is spotless. It’s my favorite two hours of calm and rejuvenation every month.

Google
I was served by Dece and I had such a relaxing facial experience~ she even advised me on how I can improve on taking care of my skin (e.g doing exfoliation once a week) and gave me sachets of facial products I could use. The ambience and interior of Ikeda spa has the nice traditional Japanese feel. I felt so relaxed and refreshed after the facial. Thank you once again~

Thanks to a Christmas voucher, I enjoyed a seamless WhatsApp booking. The green tea scrub and detox massage were heavenly. Marylin, my therapist, was strong, skilled, and attentive. The tea served at the end was a perfect finish. I look forward to my next appointment!

Yelp
Luxury and tranquility. A cleansing massage was just what was needed. A bit expensive but Singapore is so posh. Beautiful people in Beautiful surroundings. Treat oneself.

Yelp
Nestled amidst a mini row of revamped shophouses along Bukit Timah Road, Ikeda is possibly the easiest spa to miss EVER...at least to me. There is virtually no parking (unless you get reeeeeeaaaaally lucky), and the property is very modest, but if you like quaint themed spas, this is the place for you. With hostesses in kimonos speaking in hushed tones, rice paper walls, zen music, a rock garden, and wooden floors, the spa definitely delivers on the Japanese theme. What really sold me though, was that they were open on New Years day, had a couples room, and offered a trial price for first timers! They expertly kneaded our daily stressors away, soaked us in a lovely hot spring bath, fed us some yummy tea and cookies, and sent us on our way in time for our dinner reservations. There was no hard selling, no talking during our treatment time, and no mentioning of signing packages when we left. It was perfect. No annoyances and complete relaxation from entrance to exit. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
What to do on a public holiday? My friend and I were out of ideas of where to drop by and hence decided to try out Elemental Aroma Therapy under the massage section here. We came 45 minutes earlier and as a first timer, we were asked to fill up a form with different particulars and health statuses. We were then offered a cold and sweet Rosella tea which was definitely refreshing after walking under the humid weather. Since my friend wasn't up for drinking it, I gulped two cups down and was even offered more while waiting for my turn. One of the staffs also showed us the way to the toilet and walking past the hall, the interior design was similar to those Japanese traditional inns (Ryokan) which I came across a few times during my trips to Japan. 10 minutes before the massage therapists arrived, we were given a choice to stay in the common area or in the individual rooms provided for us. My friend and I went to our respective rooms to change. During my massage sessions, my massage therapist asked me which parts of my body sore. As I have tensed muscles, quite a number of parts were pretty sore during the massage as I requested a medium force on me during the massage. The 1 hour session lasted faster than what I thought. Even though some parts were sore, it was definitely refreshing experience. The room was lightly lit - it has an adjustable controller on the side (near to the sliding door) and it has pretty spacious cabinets to put our items in. I like the little details in the room - made me feel like I was back in Japan. After the session, we were given warm teas (can't comprehend what tea it was even though I asked twice). Overall, it was a good experience at this place and will definitely come back in the near future. The downside is the pricing is a bit steep but with professional massage therapists, there will also be a cost for the treatment. Will try the Onsen another time too :)

Yelp
I came here based on a Groupon deal, so I didn't have to pay full price--it was not difficult to get an appointment (unlike other deals where appointment book juggling was very painful!). The spa is peaceful, the wait is short, and the massage a good balance of firm pressure and soothingness. I really enjoyed it that the post-massage treat was a little Japanese biscuit and a cup of tea--nice slow way to come back into the world. :) I would like to come back to try their massage on the hot stone bed, and their facials, using imported Japanese skincare, but oh, the prices!

Yelp
I love all things japanese and often would try to recreate the experience I have when traveling in japan back in Singapore. A friend introduced me to this traditional japanese day spa. The place reminded me of japanese ryokan. You can also experience the japanese hospitality here. What I enjoyed most is massaging on the hot stone bed. Loved their service here and feel very relax after a nice massage here. At least they weren't pushy with their sales. The price has hiked since the first time i step foot in this place but still I think it is still one of best spa I ever had in Singapore.

Yelp
Came here because it was recommended by a close friend. Upon entering, I found the spa to be VERY clean and smelt nice. Loved how the therapists were all dressed in cute kimonos too! Facial was nice and relaxing & although the therapist was Korean (I think), she was clear in her explanation of what the facial procedures were. They give you a cup of tea before your facial and another one after your facial (with a Japanese biscuit). Really nice touch. Will be back!!!

Yelp
Terribly overrated. Have always read about this highly rated spa and decided to try it tonight - bad experience! Receptionist was unfriendly and kept me waiting for half an hour even though I was on time. Service (or whatever that was) felt very hurried and disorganized. The worst thing was I was shortchanged of my 90 mins massage. Thumbs down Ikeda!

Yelp
called Clark Quay branch on 5 Jun wanting to book for Onsen cum massage svc on my bd, 8 June. As my preference is the Bukit Timah branch (coz they have private onsen) but not sure if they have slot on thur afternoon for lady, so i asked if she can help to check with BT branch. If no slot, i will reserve the 230pm slot at clark Quay branch. The lady says will check with BT branch and get back to me. waited 2days no reply and today call back CQ branch and they say don't have my record and there is no more 230pm slot for both branch for me anymore. disrupted my bd plan as I was looking forward to try out Ikeda spa so much. disappointed..:(
