The 32 Best Family-Friendly Hotels in Europe | Condé Nast Traveler

"Arriving at Ikos Andalusia in Estepona felt like stepping into a sleek, Ibizan-style all-inclusive reimagined with white walls, rattan and straw lamps: buildings flank four main pools leading to the beach and a lively program of aqua aerobics, football for teens and Michelin-devised restaurants. The brand’s smart inclusive concept (covering room service, Taittinger and even rounds of golf) plus local perks such as Mini Cooper rental and restaurant access made it an easy, modern choice for families wanting fuss-free luxury. The Best Family-Friendly Hotels in Spain

"Best for: An all-inclusive stay As you cycle along the boardwalk that leads to Estepona, it’s fun to peek over walls at the other hotels and villas—a Malibu-like jumble of architectural styles that track Marbella’s evolution. Ikos arrived in 2021 with a fresh approach and an aquatic symmetry—buildings are set either side of four main swimming pools, leading down to the beach—that would have the designers of the Alhambra tipping their hat. Dolphin inflatables and pool-side rosé appear throughout the day, the day’s newsletter perused—aqua aerobics at 9a.m., perhaps, with football for teens before lunch. This is the brand’s first hotel outside Greece, but it’s the smartest, an Ibizan-style chiringuito writ large in white walls, rattan, and straw lampshades. Ikos’s great idea was to redefine the all-inclusive concept for those who’d never normally consider it. Room service and bottles of Taittinger are covered, as is a round of golf if desired, and there’s an urban buzz to the many restaurants, mostly devised by Michelin-grade chefs (try the Spanish and Greek first), and bars (cocktails by Shoreditch-based Marian Beke). What’s more, guests are encouraged to connect with the region. A day’s Mini Cooper rental is thrown in and the all-inclusive perks are extended to local restaurants, meaning you never feel boxed in. Price: Garden view room (sleeps 4), from $1,128 per night all inclusive (minimum five night stay)." - Sarah Leigh Bannerman

We stayed at Ikos Andalusia in October for a week, and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was beautifully organized — the resort is stunning, peaceful, and truly luxurious. When we first checked in, our room was lovely and well-designed, but it didn’t get as much sun exposure as we hoped. We asked if it might be possible to change rooms, but since all rooms in that category were fully booked, the team — and especially Yanis — went above and beyond to find a solution. Yanis was exceptional: extremely accommodating, responsive, and genuinely eager to make our stay perfect. He not only listened to our concerns but also managed to upgrade us and ensure we were completely satisfied. His professionalism and kindness truly stood out and made our holiday unforgettable. The food was outstanding, the beachfront setting is gorgeous, and the whole atmosphere of the resort is calm, elegant, and relaxing. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and highly recommend Ikos Andalusia to anyone looking for a luxurious, quiet getaway by the sea. Thank you again to the whole team — and especially to Yanis — for making our week so special. We can’t wait to return! 🌸

We were a group of 5 friends staying for a week in early October. Most of us have stayed in other Ikos resorts before and we thought this was one of the best. Great resort layout, lovely pools (especially the ‘scented’ pool - lavender plants). Really high quality food and drinks. Good gym facilities and direct access to a lovely coastal promenade/boardwalk which went for miles in either direction. Staff were fantastic - especially the team in the beach Chiringuito - thank you Nadia, Juan, Vicky, Darko and all the team! Beach itself is not great sand and access to the sea for swimming is very stony - but Ikos cannot control the natural landscape! :) Overall we had a fantastic week and highly recommend the resort!

We returned once again to Ikos Andalusia for our fourth visit this September. It was our first time with our grown up children and partners as we wanted to share the beautiful resort and experience. The team did not let us down. We were looked after extremely well and had a fabulous week with memories that will last a lifetime for everyone. |A huge thank you to Pilar and her team who went out of their way to ensure every detail was covered and the extras were hugely appreciated. |The restaurants were again delivering great dishes with fantastic service from their teams and the resort staff couldn’t do more to help. |Thank you and we look forward to returning once again next year.

Just back from our seventh stay at this magnificent resort. ||On arrival at the airport, we were greeted by the lovely lady at the Ikos Desk, and then whisked away on a beautiful car journey to our destination. The moment you step out of the car we were welcomed back by the lovely Christina and the team, and immediately went into relaxed holiday mode. ||The resort is so delightful, being compact, spotlessly clean, easily accessible and the gardens and landscaping are so beautiful. Our room was very accessible for us and the standard of housekeeping is absolutely superb.||We didn’t think that the food could get any better. However, this year there were a lot of new dishes on the menu at all the restaurants and the food was absolutely delicious. Likewise, we were introduced to 3 new wines found for us by Demetrious in Fresco and Panos in Ouzo. We particularly enjoyed Fresco, which is our personal favourite, and we are looked after impeccably by the fabulous Demetrious and his new team, and in particular it was lovely to see Annamarie back again from the Majorca Resort. A big thank you to the lovely Anna, and her team at Ouzo, where we had lots of long lunches and dinners and the service and food was fabulous. A mention as well to the lovely team in Provenve, such a shame it is not open at lunchtime, as such a lovely spot, but the dinners were excellent. All the team at the scented pool bar, are so attentive, nothing is too much trouble and looked after us very well in particular Victoria and Marion. Darko looked after us at breakfast in Flavours and always found us a lovely cool seat and we enjoyed some lovely lunches at the Chiringuito, he is the consummate professional and perfect host.||A big thank you must go to the lovely Konstantinos, Food and Beverage Manager, for all the lovely new additions to the menus and wine lists. It is so lovely to see him excel in his role, and when we would see him out and about in the resort, he always had time to stop by and say hello. Also a personal thank you to him for the lovely welcome gifts, and for him and Anna to take the time to come and see us before we left, such a lovely thought.||And finally to the big boss, Mr.Anastasios, your resort and your team are an absolute credit to you, This is one of the main reasons why we return again and again… it’s the people. So nice to see you all again, and thank you for the welcome gifts. See you next year. From the two darlings.💖💖💖||Anybody thinking about booking a holiday at this gorgeous resort… just do it!,

We had a fabulous 5th Ikos stay (2nd at Andalusia) |We originally arrived as a couple but after 1 night we were overwhelmed to find out that our family had arrived..all 8 of them. The Ikos team had assisted in planning a surprise for our 40th wedding anniversary! All restaurants had been rearranged for our stay at a suitable time for the children. Everything was taken care of for us and our family were delighted with the fabulous service from all the friendly helpful staff and used most of the facilities. We had the best family holiday together and will remember it forever! |The whole Ikos ethos is unmatched. |Thank you once again.

I've been to Ikos Dassia previously which we absolutely loved and so we were very excited to book Andalusia for our first trip with a 14 week old child.||As always with Ikos, the food and the drinks were absolutely 10/10 and just can't be faulted, but what really makes the Ikos resorts special as many will agree is the staff. The service is just amazing, all are so friendly and helpful and really do go above and beyond.||Special shout outs to Emma who worked around the pool, Nathaniel from Anaya restaurant, Harry at Seasons, Vasilis at Fresco, Ioanna at Flavours, and Eleni at Ouzo. So many to mention but they were a few who went above and beyond to either help with our child, offer advice on food/wine and just be extraordinarily helpful.||Another great visit to Ikos, and already thinking which we can do next!

Beautiful resort and rooms are lovely and spacious. We had the deluxe room with the private pools and restaurant which was worth it and so nice tk have with kids. The food was much better than expected and the low depth of the pools made it so nice and easy to relax as we knew our toddler wouldn’t be able to get into trouble with how shallow the pools were. Some restaurants and food were better than others but overall great and having the buffet as an option was nice when we needed a quick meal.

We are just back from an incredible week in Ikos Andalusia. The resort is amazing but the team that work there make it very special. Our children went to Heroes Club every morning and absolutely loved it & the ladies who worked there - they are still talking about it & asking to go back!! We will be back next year!
