Ikos Oceania

We’ve just returned from a wonderful week at this amazing and extremely well run hotel. We’d read previous reviews and after our visit we have to agree that this is a wonderful hotel. WhatsApp provides information and any requests made are acted on almost immediately. They have an impressive eco programme. The food and drinks are excellent and the a la carte system works really well. The service from all the staff was exceptional, efficient, friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The staff with whom we interacted on a more regular basis deserve a special mention. Ioanna, Vasilis and Despina (Flavors) Eva; what a star! She even provided mint tea and a Hall’s lozenge when I was unwell. Sophia in the main bar, Panos for the wine tasting experience and his service at Fresco together with Sophia and Nestor. Everyone we met during our stay was extremely happy and impressed with IKOS Oceania. No surprise there. Nor is it surprising that we have already made a booking for 2026.

This was our third visit to Oceania and the stay cemented it as our favourite holiday destination.|From the moment we arrived, we were treated with kindness by all the staff we encountered, they make you feel they care about you having the best time whilst you stay with them. |We had an ocean view room, lovely room, very clean with large comfy bed and a good choice of pillows. Mini bar filled daily, toiletries topped up and turn down service every evening.|Every meal we had was exceptional, our favourite is beach club lunch. Provence has limited the menu to its usual high standards but what was on the menu was nice. Great wines available and lovely cocktails too.|We sat mostly around the adult pool where the wonderful Eva attended our every need, she really is an asset to the hotel. When we went to the beach, service again from George and his team was friendly and fast.|We enjoyed evenings in the adult bar and my suggestion would be to have a band or do every night, not just a couple of times in the week as you could tell everyone really enjoyed it.|One slight issue with hot water in our room was dealt with satisfactorily by management who checked in with us throughout our holiday, management really do have it right.|We will absolutely return and absolutely recommend.

This was our second visit to the Ikos group. We are normally not fans of all-in hotels, but this is really a whole other level!|This time we chose Ikos Oceania.|We booked directly with Ikos, which has the advantage that the transfer from the airport to the hotel is included. This was perfectly arranged: at the arrival hall the driver was already waiting to take us to the hotel in a comfortable Mercedes. The ride took about 35 minutes.|On arrival we were quickly checked in. Because we were already familiar with the Ikos formula, this went extra smoothly. While we immediately went for lunch, our suitcases were brought to the room.|The room was exactly as agreed: with sea view and twin beds.|We had already reserved the restaurants in advance. Only the option to eat outside the resort was still open. On the advice of the staff, we chose Akti, and it turned out to be an excellent choice indeed!|We tried breakfast in several restaurants, and it was good everywhere. We found the buffet restaurant a bit unpleasant, so we only went there once. Our favorite restaurant was the Asian restaurant – absolutely recommended!|We also used the Tesla, with which we visited some villages in the area. We also visited Ikos Olivia; as a guest of Ikos Oceania you can also use the facilities there.|The terrain of Ikos Oceania is quite hilly and therefore less suitable for people with walking difficulties. The beach is fine, although we like the beach at Ikos Corfu better.|The staff and management are really top-notch. The manager is an example for many – he jumps in wherever necessary and even personally brings guests to their room.

There are so many wonderful things about this hotel. |The staff are amazing, really attentive and friendly.|The room was very clean, a comfy bed and the mini bar was re-stocked everyday. |The food was delicious everywhere! Our favourite was the Italian. |Service outstanding|The main pool was big with lots of sun beds available although the pool was cold but it did warm up on our last few days still a little chilly.|We enjoyed lots of the entertainment in the evenings.|You can walk in to town in about 15 minutes along the beach.|The golf buggies to get around the resort are brilliant, such fun! |The beach was nice (has small stones) and the sea was warm. ||I would highly recommend this hotel and I will return.

We just love this hotel and the outstanding staff and it’s why we keep coming back. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel so welcome. It is truly the best all inclusive hotel we have ever stayed at. Great selection of restaurants to choose from with none of the usual all inclusive restrictions and you can dine as many times as you like (subject to availability obviously). The beach is beautiful and the water is really calm and great for swimming. The beach service is second to none and you are never without a drink or snack. A big thank you to George, Eva and Adriana for looking after us so well. We didn’t use the water sports this time as I was supporting a broken ankle, but they are a wonderful addition to keep little ones (and big ones) entertained and happy. The resort is on a hill, but even with an injury I managed to get around and the golf buggies are always available if you don’t feel up to the hills/steps. The pools look great too, with lots of activity at the main one and an adults only pool, run by the fantastic Eva , if you prefer a quieter experience. There is also a quiet pool outside of the spa which looks great too and a baby pool for the little ones. The Spa is fabulous and I really enjoyed my time spent there. The spa staff are really lovely too. The alcohol selection is top notch with a very extensive wine collection. They also serve Tattinger Champagne if you are staying in a Deluxe room category, which we really enjoyed. The included car rental for a day is a super way of exploring the coast. We really have nothing negative to say about this hotel. It is due for a refurb next year, which will only enhance it further. So if you are looking for a no hassle relaxing easy holiday, then I would definitely recommend booking this Hotel. The hotel manager Mr Vangelis Koumianidis is a great leader and it is obvious that the staff have an enormous amount of respect for him. Ikos are so lucky to have such a dedicated young man working for them. All the hardworking staff at this hotel really made our holidays here so special and I’d like to thank each and every one with a special mention to Angela, George, Anna and Esmeralda at the Beech Club Restaurant, Angela is a fabulous Manager and always making sure everything is perfect. Tanya in Ouzo Restaurant is stellar and works so hard and always in great form. Also special mention to Nester and Maria in Fresco Restaurant, great hosts and Maria definitely made sure my husband didn’t go hungry! He is still talking about that Tiramisu! We would also like to thank the amazing Despina and her team Alex and Maria at the Deluxe pool bar. What can I say, she is a dynamo and goes out of her way to make sure everyone is welcome and well looked after. |I suppose the best endorsement of this hotel, is that we have booked to come back again and just no we won’t be disappointed. This place exceeded our expectations! The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need throughout your whole stay. Went in mid-September and the weather was perfect. When they say “all-inclusive,” they mean just that. I proposed to my girlfriend and they helped me with any arrangements that I wanted. We are already looking forward to going back!

We stayed at Oceania 25th Oct to 1st Nov for the last week of the season and half term. We struck lucky with the weather this week with only one morning of rain the rest of the week it was just perfect sunshine! ||Alexander, Mary, Igor, Anna and Lazaria always responded in a timely fashion and made sure we had everything booked and in our room that I requested for on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble and they were all extremely helpful. They have the email and WhatsApp service spot on. ||Check in was smooth and quick, as it was very busy and a lot of people were checking in for the last week of the season and half term, we were taken through to the lounge area where we had a cold towel and welcome drink. Maria explained everything we needed to know about the resort. We were then taken to our room via a buggy with all our cases. We were very happy with our room we had a sea view deluxe room 5315 and the view was beautiful. A lot of people have commented about rooms being dated and tired but we didn’t feel this was the case at all and we were very happy. ||We ate at all the restaurants and found the food, drink and service were of high quality. Ouzo we found breakfast and lunch a bit chaotic for us and quite a few wasps so we only did each of these once during the week but for dinner it was calm and we really enjoyed it we had a lovely evening. Provence was our least favourite for breakfast, lunch and dinner but this was just down to personal taste so again only visited once for each of these. Anaya and fresco for dinner were fantastic. We ate at fresco on our last evening and as it is my birthday next week we celebrated early, they decorated the table for me and brought out a birthday cake and sung happy birthday which I thought was a lovely touch. There was even a bottle of bubbly, a note and some flowers in my room that evening which was a lovely surprise and even a personal visit from Dimitris at dinner too! We ate in the beach club for lunch and dinner and we really enjoyed this too a lovely view of the sea. We also had dinner on the beach for our first night and this was a nice experience. We ate regularly in flavours for breakfast and lunch with dinner on our last evening before we left for the airport. Although we felt like there were less choice at the buffet than ikos Olivia and sometimes a bit repetitive everything was of high quality and we enjoyed everything we had and the service was very good. Having stayed at Olivia in May I would say the food quality was better at Oceania across all restaurants. We also used room service and ordered food at the deluxe pool and deluxe beach area and again everything was of good quality. Again all the bar areas that we visited the service and drinks were of high quality so no complaints there. Really couldn’t fault the food and drink here! ||We used the deluxe pool area a lot, Despina, Alex and the whole team are a credit to this hotel. They are friendly, efficient and nothing is too much trouble. They go the extra mile to make sure everyone is having q wonderful stay. From drying off sunbeds after the morning of rain, to making fabulous cocktails we couldn’t have asked for more. We loved the deluxe pool area at Oceania. Although smaller than Olivia it had amazing views of the sea and it was very calm and quiet. ||We also used the deluxe beach area a lot, we did (along with others) have a few issues with the service down in this area at the start of our holiday which wasn’t on par with the deluxe pool area. We struggled to get towels and order food and drinks but Antigoni and Dimitris addressed this issue quickly after some feedback and the QR codes were back out and the service was much better after this. What makes IKOS hotels stand out from others is this attention to detail, Antigoni and Dimitris personally come to speak to us at the beach after I provided some feedback and addressed the issue immediately. What I thought was an amazing touch was there was a cocktail called hey you that we had at ikos Olivia in May and they sourced the ingredients for us so I could have them in the beach club and on the beach during our holiday. This was extremely appreciated and such a lovely surprise! Many thanks to Dimitris, Antigoni and Asmina for arranging this. The other thing that we brought up when we spoke to Antigoni and Dimitris was that we were struggling with getting the wines that we wanted across the whole resort the entire week and after providing some feedback this did get slightly better as my husband was then able to get some wines that he wanted but both of us still struggled, not sure if this is because it is the last week of the season and they were in short supply but this does need to be addressed going forward so all wines are available for the entire season, we didn’t experience this in May at Olivia and was a little surprised that a lot of wines were not available across all of the resort. We did also hear others struggling with this too. ||My husband and I did the wine tasting on our first afternoon and it was quite a large group of people, we tried three wines. It was good and informative but not as good as at Ikos Olivia but we enjoyed it and would recommend doing it. ||We used the spa for one morning and I had a bespoke facial which was wonderful. Vasaliki kindly let me swap mine and my husbands free deluxe massage for this treatment. I would highly recommend as I come out of there so relaxed. My husband used the pool, sauna and steam room and also said it was very enjoyable. It was so quiet and peaceful in there, a lovely experience! ||We hired the Tesla for the day and visited Afytos as we love the feel of this little village and the views are beautiful. We then stopped off at Ikos Olivia for a couple of hours and used the deluxe beach area and pool area. I do prefer the deluxe beach area at Olivia as the beach is cleaner and feels more spaced out as Oceania feels a little bit more on top of each other where it is a smaller beach. The pool area is also bigger at Olivia but the views are not as good as at Oceania. The service at Olivia was very good and again they didn’t have the hey you cocktail on the menu but they sourced the ingredients for me which was lovely of them! ||We used the watersports quite a few times on the beach, paddle boarding, canoeing and the pedalo and my daughter had a go on the crazy couch and loved it! We really like that you can use these each day. ||My nearly 13 year old daughter used the teens club everyday and loved Mary. She did some exciting activities and made lots of friends. She actually preferred the teens club here to ikos Olivia. My 7 year old son loved hero’s club everyday and again made lots of friends and did lots of fun activities. All of the staff at the kids clubs are a credit to the hotel as they are so lovely! The entire week was Halloween themed which the kids loved and they even had a Halloween party on the Friday evening but sadly I don’t think this was advertised very well as no one really attended it so it would be good to add this to the schedule in future so people are aware it’s happening. ||My husband and son hired some bikes and had a lovely bike ride along the beach road. We also walked in both directions on the beach and the road everyday in the morning after breakfast and although nothing around it was very peaceful. ||We visited the local market on Wednesday which was a nice couple of hours out, we walked there and back and didn’t take the shuttle but we highly recommend visiting for olive oil, olives, honey etc as lots of local sellers and so cheap! ||We didn’t watch any of the evening shows or entertainment as we don’t really do this while away so can’t comment on that. ||Overall we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and just as Ikos Olivia we will be returning. I think Oceania has the edge for me as the food quality, personal service and views are better. We liked that there was less younger children here than at Olivia too. My husband likes that Olivia was flatter but I actually like all the steps and slopes at Oceania as after all that wonderful food and drink it got you moving! A lot of people comment that Oceania is not as modern and shiny as other ikos resorts but if they were all the same where would the fun be in that and I also think this is reflected in the price too. I think they are all different in their own right and so far Olivia and Oceania have been fantastic, it’s personal choice what is better for some than others. We all had a wonderful holiday and are very grateful to all the staff that work so hard, thank you to all at Oceania! ||Now on the countdown to Odisia and Aria next year but we will be back!

We had a really lovely stay at the hotel it was our first time staying in an Ikos hotel. We booked the hotel as it was our honeymoon and the staff made extra effort decorating our room lovely for when we checked into our room. The staff can’t do enough for you at the hotel whether that’s during dinner or even around the pool, the service is definitely the best we have received in any hotel. We enjoyed the mixture of restaurants and really enjoyed table service rather than only option of buffet style of an all inclusive. I do think could improve slightly on the entertainment side of things and also perhaps some entertainment during the day. Other hotels offer water polo or other games in the main pool during the day which can be good fun. Would be nice for more of a lively atmosphere as it can be slightly flat atmosphere and I think with introducing some games and better entertainment the atmosphere would be great. I would recommend the hotel however just to note that there isn’t an awful lot to do near by and the towns are very quiet but the offering of using the Tesla for the day gives you so much freedom to explore the beautiful beaches the island has to offer. Safe to say we have really had a lovely honeymoon and it has been very special and a holiday to not forget.
