This is a very nice shrine to visit while in Japan. If you have time and are staying in Osaka it is located approximately 40 minutes by train from Osaka. From Kobe station it is about a 15 minute walk to the shrine. Here you can get your official stamps on your book (for those who collect stamps when visiting temples) for a cost of 500 Yen. You can also purchase the books here. The temple itself is free to visit. I would highly recommend a visit to this temple.

The colors were magnificent and the jinja grounds was very big! I loved the tall tori gates, and how central it was in the city. I just didn’t expect there to be so much people. It was kinda hard to enjoy it. And it’s unfair to say that it’s the shrine’s fault, if we base it on beauty alone it deserves a 5 star. But 4 star just because it wasn’t as peaceful and serene as I thought it would be. But still a must see if you’re in Kobe.

Ikuta Shrine is a Shinto shrine established by Empress Jingu and apparently one of the oldest shrines in the country. It is dedicated to the water deity, Watasumi, as the Empress built it after almost dying in a shipwreck. Peaceful shrine and i managed dto get a goshuin here.

The Ikuta-jinja shrine offers a relaxing and tranquil environment right in the heart of the city, perfect spot to relax and escape the urban city atmosphere. When we visited, there weren't much people, so no need to worry about crowds or queuing in here. Worth a visit if you're exploring central Kobe.

A beautiful and energetically powerful Shinto site. This temple is an oasis of peace and strong energy in the middle of a bustling city. We recommend visiting. It is located in a very accessible location, close to the central station.
