I have been here a few times now, and thoroughly enjoyed the setting, such beautiful rooms. It is expensive, i will not lie, but the setting is gorgeous. I took my friends for birthday brunch, and yes, food was lovely, they just need to give staff more training and be a bit better organised. For example, if you accept a booking for 11am, do make sure that there is at least someone in that space to welcome the guests; we wandered aimlessly for at least 15 if not 20min until someone graced us with their presence. Not a good look, especially when i brought guests from abroad, and it is special occasion. Aligning booking system with staff starting time is a good idea to adopt. Bit more warmth, empathy and care from staff throughout the experience i think is absolutely key, since the space, the food quality, is already at almost at the right level. Tiramisu was excellent, great coffee, lovely snacks (though ceviche fish should not just be doused in pure lemon juice, and otherwise unseasoned, read up a bit on what is a proper ceviche recipe). Service side - Nina was lovely, probably the highlight for the service part, others should follow her example.

Wine selection was Ok. Service was quite poor besides the restaurant manager who was fun, kind and professional. Food was interesting : oysters with whiskey were top (recommended by restaurant manager) but when asked for a cheese platter for a good bottle of red wine we had, what we received was terrible. First: what they claimed to be burrata was a dry ball of mozzarella. Secondly: the rest of cheese cuts were “breakfast type of cheese”, meaning full of fat plastic-like cheeses. Not what anybody would accept as Ok cheese for a goo cheese platter. Quality wise, extremely poor and without explanation of the order to consume the cheese as it should be. When we complained, they apologised and accepted that it was indeed not burrata. When we asked for further vegetarian options, they said they had none. NONE! They returned it to the kitchen and promised the chef would come up with a small vegetarian platter complimentary. Well, it was not complimentary and it was very basic. I will not repeat the spot or not for any food. Maybe just for a glass of wine because the bar space is actually nice, but that’s about it. There are plenty of cosy and cute spots in Rome to go to. Find attached photos of the cheese platter and the vegetarian appetizers which we were indeed charged for. When asked for the restaurant manager, all they said is that he had left and there wasn’t really anyone to discuss with or who could assist us. Disappointing.

Il Bar della Musa is a sanctuary in stone and art. The soaring ceiling, adorned with frescoes, crafted a cathedral of calm above my golden aperitif. Each sip felt ceremonious—the cocktail balanced, fresh, whispering of citrus and candor. Hospitality here is understated and sincere, a respectful nod to both local grace and modern charm. Though the price leans refined, the entire tapestry—design, drink, and atmosphere—feels worth the indulgence. A place not just to sip, but to pause and appreciate.

Atmosphere: 9/10 Located in Rome’s Colonna district, Bar Della Musa sits inside Palazzo Talìa. The space impresses with Roman-style frescoes on the ceilings and a calm, elegant vibe. Music is played at a quiet, comfortable volume, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Drinks: 6/10 Recommendation: – The menu is neat but very simple. Flavors and ingredients could be better balanced. No coasters, average glassware, and very basic garnish and presentation. Service: 8/10 Water served on arrival. Complimentary snacks were provided, though the design and shape behind the homemade crackers is questionable… The team is friendly but could be more professional, with minor issues like spilling drinks and weak garnish execution. No reservations needed. Prices are above average for Rome.

Amazing and welcoming venue. I only had drinks but hey, I'd come back every night: smooth, original and good. Kosten (or Costen) huge bartender, caring and easy to deal with, and same for his colleagues. See you soon!

The design is beautiful, and the service was pleasant but very slow for just a coffee order. The coffee itself was nice and came with four small cookies on the side, which was a nice touch. However, in my opinion, it was too expensive for both the coffee and the overall experience, as you’re also paying for the atmosphere.

Overrated & overprized cocktail bar. Servers were inattentive and not very friendly. Only worthwhile a visit to take a photo of the bar and ceiling....

Absolutely beautiful hidden bar we found on our way to the Trevi. The drinks were our first in our official honeymoon trip. I had the espresso martini- THE BEST EVER (and I am a bartender) and my husband enjoyed a take on a whiskey sour. The staff was engaging and friendly as we were clearly tourists. Best place to kick off a honeymoon with sophisticated drinks that are worth the price.
