Il Bar della Musa is a sanctuary in stone and art. The soaring ceiling, adorned with frescoes, crafted a cathedral of calm above my golden aperitif. Each sip felt ceremonious—the cocktail balanced, fresh, whispering of citrus and candor. Hospitality here is understated and sincere, a respectful nod to both local grace and modern charm. Though the price leans refined, the entire tapestry—design, drink, and atmosphere—feels worth the indulgence. A place not just to sip, but to pause and appreciate.

The design is beautiful, and the service was pleasant but very slow for just a coffee order. The coffee itself was nice and came with four small cookies on the side, which was a nice touch. However, in my opinion, it was too expensive for both the coffee and the overall experience, as you’re also paying for the atmosphere.

Atmosphere: 9/10 Located in Rome’s Colonna district, Bar Della Musa sits inside Palazzo Talìa. The space impresses with Roman-style frescoes on the ceilings and a calm, elegant vibe. Music is played at a quiet, comfortable volume, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Drinks: 6/10 Recommendation: – The menu is neat but very simple. Flavors and ingredients could be better balanced. No coasters, average glassware, and very basic garnish and presentation. Service: 8/10 Water served on arrival. Complimentary snacks were provided, though the design and shape behind the homemade crackers is questionable… The team is friendly but could be more professional, with minor issues like spilling drinks and weak garnish execution. No reservations needed. Prices are above average for Rome.

Great spot for aperitivo with really interesting options and a solid bar menu. The cocktails are delicious! It’s best to book in advance, and I recommend asking for a table in the central hall — it’s definitely the most beautiful area✨

Absolutely beautiful hidden bar we found on our way to the Trevi. The drinks were our first in our official honeymoon trip. I had the espresso martini- THE BEST EVER (and I am a bartender) and my husband enjoyed a take on a whiskey sour. The staff was engaging and friendly as we were clearly tourists. Best place to kick off a honeymoon with sophisticated drinks that are worth the price.

What a horrifyingly disgusting way to end your night! Been travelling around the continent for a bit and as I was leaving Roma I thought it would be lovely to try out a friend’s recommendation, the mural bar. Everything was the definition of perfection up until this bald white mixologist’s interaction with me. He’s rude, inattentive and doesn’t care about his customers. I ordered still water at the very beginning when asked and got not one drop even when I paid for my bill. Without being aware of it, he was deliberately charging me €6 for the water I never had. That’s not even the worst bit. Throughout my brief stay there, his behaviour was clearly intended for me to be uncomfortable, for reasons not known to myself of course. It could be because I didn’t speak any Italian and I am a young female going there alone but who knows. When I complained as I should when paying for the €22 cocktail, he also seemed completely unbothered by my concerns and shrugged it off, which suggests he knew exactly what he was doing. Although the receptionist and every other bartender seemed wonderfully friendly, I’m afraid the inclusion of such a person of low character in their team speaks volumes of the bar/hotel itself. Don’t easily let that person ruin your trip if you are a tourist! God bless us for Roma and people that make it a great city.

This bar and hotel restaurant does not get the ratings it deserves. It is 5 star for sure. Very friendly and helpful staff. The food is great, the Aperitivo snacks are really amazing, and the drinks were soooo good! The courtyard is beautiful. Highly recommended!!

First of all, the place is quite pretty and impressive, but trust me, you’ve seen better. The service is very questionable. Upon arrival we ordered 3 aperitifs for 3 people (in includes 1 drink and several snacks in each). Cocktails (very average) were ready very quickly, however, snacks took 1 HOUR! When I finally caught a waiter, he said he is apologising, but they have an issue on the kitchen…I can get that, but why then he did not bring us free snacks like olives and taralli, like to every another guest who ordered a drink without snacks (hence, paying less), that’s a big question. Snacks, which we enjoyed without a cocktail already, were quite strange, we did not enjoy much. But that was not it. Toilets…it’s allegedly a very top notch bar located in 5*L hotel….female one was closed for maintenance, so I went to the one for disabled. The flush did not work there! No napkins or one use towels..2 middle sized white towels were hanged for guests for shared use I guess… speechless. Never again this place, the worst value for money.
