Il Battistero Siena - Residenza d'Epoca (Siena, Tuscany) 11 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Just off Siena’s Piazza del Campo, and literally straight across the road from the gorgeous Gothic building that is the Baptistery of San Giovanni, is a beautiful little boutique hotel that goes by the name of Il Battisterio Siena - Residenza d’Epoca. The “little” part is apparent simply from the fact that it comprises just seven suites. And the “beautiful” bit you’ll simply have to take on the evidence presented in the photos — or from the fact that a balanced mixture of contemporary Italian furnishings, heritage antiques, and historical architecture, in the hands of a capable designer, are a typically winning combination." - Tablet Hotels

This place has a couple of restrictions to it but at around £150 a night and less than 5 minutes from the Campo it is excellent value.||I think we had one of the smaller rooms, but it was clean, newly decorated and very comfortable. The staff are delightful.||Good as it is this is not a full service hotel. Reception is closed after 8.00 pm so you have to let yourself in with a key. There is no restaurant or bar, just a fairly simple breakfast each morning. Breakfast starts a bit late at 8.30 am, and there is no coffee machine in the room - just a kettle and sachets of instant. ||I think the more traditional full service hotels are further out so we were happy to make the compromise to be in the centre. Just maybe consider putting a Nespresso machine in each room ?

Beautiful stay in Siena. Our room had two bedrooms large bathroom historic and beautiful. Welcoming check in with information about the building and history. Across from the main church close to the square and many restaurants. Breakfast was not as good as any other we had this vacation could use more choices but would stay here again.

Please note that the rooms are in an old building and no lift so after walking the city which is tiredsome you have to walk the steps up to your room. We did stayed in a room for over 300 Euro it had 2 bedrooms fo good for 4 people. Good location close to Piazza Campo. BF very basic.

Absolutely beautiful property and staff. Cannot speak highly enough about the people who work here. They are kind and accommodating, they communicate with you and they go out of their way to help you. Our car needed to be towed and if we didn't have the girls in reception helping us we wouldn't have been able to continue our holiday.

Great place, great friendly and helpful staff, and great location!! would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. We booked the 2 connected rooms and worked great for our family of 4. Very unique set up, hard to describe until you actually see the rooms and set up.

Our large room over-looked the small piazza in front of the baptistery and the hotel was also only steps from Piazza del Campo. There were lots of reasonably priced restaurants were nearby. Personnel at the front reception were very friendly and helpful. When we needed a taxi/Uber at a busy time of the day and the taxi wouldn't come to the front door, the guy at reception led us to where taxis were more likely to be and and waited and communicated on his phone till a taxi would take us.

What's not to love about staying in a historic home, possibly in THE best location of this beautiful city? We had 3 nights in the beautiful Martini Suite (#1) with all views overlooking the piazza and the baptistry/Duomo, and we wished for more nights. Despite being crowded in the day, the piazza was silent at night. One night, we watched a thunderstorm from the room, which was dramatic! The welcome and assistance from Gisella, Rita, and all the team was outstanding. Breakfast is taken in the piazza itself, a little basic perhaps, but everything delivered with a smile. Expect a historic feel, not shiny minimalism, an old house, ready for guests who appreciate a stay to match this citys history. Thank you all. We LOVED our stay.

Great location and historical residence for a stay in the heart of the city. Our windows had direct view of the cathedral across the Piazza.
