Il Boscareto Resort (Serralunga d'Alba, Piedmont) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Halfway from Turin to the Ligurian Sea, on a hillside in Piedmont’s Langhe wine country, Il Boscareto Resort & Spa sets out a vision of food- and wine-focused hospitality that’s on a level with anything in Italy. In contrast to the weathered old villas of Tuscany, however, Il Boscareto is proudly contemporary in style — and it turns out modern floor-to-ceiling windows are a fine complement to these picturesque landscapes." - Tablet Hotels

We stayed at this place for 3 nights in May. This hotel is very nice, but I would call it modern and sterile. It is not a cozy country inn by any means.||The hotel is in a beautiful setting among endless vineyards. You could say that it is in the middle of nowhere, but there are activities and restaurants within a 30-minute drive.||The food is good (I would not call it great), but it is quite pricey.||Overall, we enjoyed our stay here, but I am not hankering to return.

We had a fantastic stay at Il Boscareto. The rooms were clean, nice and had comfortable beds. The wait staff was incredible and the check in process was amazing. Checkout was a bit frustrating, likely due to a language barrier. I assumed the card on file from check-in would be used, and the agent initially confirmed. But as we were leaving, he chased us down to ask for payment. We had to go back in and repeat the process. Not a major issue, just an annoying communication hiccup early in the morning.

A nearly perfect stay all around. Our (upgraded) rooms were beautiful; food at the bistro (breakfast, linch and dinner) was excellent (the two-Michelin starred La Rei Natura disappointed - but that's in a separate review); and the staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs (especially Sarah at the front desk).

Jaw-dropping views, wonderful food, great location in the Langhe and a beautiful swimming pool and spa — this hotel was a perfect choice. We’ve been to the Langhe a few times, because we love the wines and the scenic hill towns, but we had always stayed in small hotels to get a family flavor. This was a splurge that was absolutely worth it. It’s just a bit out of the tourist path around Alba, which is good, but it was only 10 minutes from Barolo and 20 minutes from Alba itself. And honestly, driving around this region is one of the great pleasures. We ate at the Bistro (not the two-star Michelin restaurant) the first night and it was so good, we ate there again. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for several days while on a wine tour. We have been all over the world for wine, from Washington State in the US to the tip of Tasmania. We have traveled with family as well. Il Boscareto is the best place we have ever had the pleasure to be. It is sublime. The room, the staff, the restaurant, the service. Perfection.

The hotel closed for renovations and are now opening for guests. The service is next to none! From the email communication to arrival at the resort and spa, everything shows the attention to detail. The breakfast has all you need plus eggs cooked according to your preference. Not all rooms have bathtubs except for the family rooms. So do ask if this is important to you. There's no iron box in the room so you have to pay for the pressing charges. If you're staying for a long time, this can be expensive. They're getting ready to open the Michelin restaurant and it will be worth it. We had the Michelin chef make our dinner and it didn't disappoint. The spa is well worth it and there is a pool and a steam and sauna rooms. Should you need a massage, you can book the therapists. My friends highly recommended this as they had a deep tissue and a swedish massage! The spa is a place for R&R. There is also a well-equipped gym with all you need for a proper workout: from the cardio machines to the free weights. A bonus, if you have an EV, they have a charging station here. Il Boscareto is a keeper with stunning views of the vineyards and the valley.

We enjoyed the resort as the base for our tour of the wineries in the area. Coming back to the spa at the end of the day was perfect. Each of us enjoyed the pool, the jacuzzi, the gym. Spacious comfortable rooms and bathrooms each have great views of the vineyards. The front desk staff were very helpful. Breakfast was enjoyable thanks to the great service by the waitresses and waiters. The Michelin star restaurant was an experience, but defintely overpriced.
