Il Calzone

This little unassuming Italian jointed tucked away from the main road serves good food with good service. The pasta and calzone were good. They were not the best we’ve ever had but it is good and served with a smile. The area around is not the most scenic but we sat outside anyway and enjoyed the sun.

The food was amazing! Great and high quality ingredients, amazing serving, large plates containing a combinations of vegetables and fine meat. Interesting dishes, creative plating and we only tried a few things from the menu. But the service was below awful! The waiter, which wasn’t young at all, was below rude! acted impolitely and impatient, did some rude gestures every time he was asked about the menu. Added a tip on his own opinion without asking, and when we’ve noticed and commented on it, said some things in polish with an angry tone and added some unpleasant gestures. The gap between the experience of the food and the quality of the service was the highest we’ve ever experienced. We’ll recommend it if you wanna enjoy a great dinner, but someone needs to make some changes with the service quality.

Very cosy restaurant/cafe/bistro. The food was delicious and staff very friendly. We had lasagne, mussels, tagliatelle, spinach and desserts: pistacchio ice cream, pavlova, tiramisu and panna cotta. Everything was served in relatively short time. We are satisfied and recommend.

What a find. Sweet little Italian place tucked in off the road. We ended up eating there 2 nights because we enjoyed it that much. The staff have been there for years and it shows. They recognized us immediately the second night and even remembered our drink orders. Very helpful with menu and gave great suggestions. We probably won’t be back to Krakow but would so recommend this restaurant to friends

Absolutely beautiful hidden spot in Old town Krakow. It's hidden away behind a building so type it in on map. I was just browsing on phone and was looking for something close by and went for this. Went 2/3 of my days there on my city break. Food was beautiful and so fresh, excellent service and fantastic prices. Would highly recommend to give it a go 🤤🤤😋😋🍺🍺

We decided to have dinner there without much planning. The menu looked good so we just decided to try. No booking. We got there and there was a few tables available which was great. The waiter was really nice and friendly and even gave us the English menu as he noticed that we were foreigners. We ordered pasta, lasagna and chicken with truffles sauce and potatoes. It was really well done and tasty. I’m certainly going back there with my wife once I’m in Krakow again.

Solo diner for dinner. The terrace was full, but they were able to seat me inside. The menu was available in English and Polish. The waiter was prompt, efficient, friendly and very helpful. I asked for suggestions on several different menu selections and he gave me excellent advice. I love pizza and this was some of the best I have ever had. The pizza was delivered from the kitchen piping hot and perfect for dining. While it wasn't on the menu, they were able to prepare a limoncello spritzer for me that was perfect for the warm evening.

Nice Italian restaurant, with a wide variety on the menu. We enjoyed the Carpaccio, and the Lasagne, but didn't like the Chicken Calzone as much. Prices are good, similar to most places.

I waited for my order for too long. People who came after us got their orders faster. I guess polish citizens receive their food faster than people of other nationalities. Waiter screamed on me and was very rude. Pizza was just terrible. Shrimps were too salted, my salad was terrible. All food here is disgusting

STAFF IS RUDE!!! THEY DISCRIMINATE PEOPLE BY NATIONALITY AND SAY THAT "THEY MAKE RULES HERE!" THEY DECIDED TO BE RUDE TO US BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT THAT WE ARE UKRAINIANS, WHAT IS THE HELL!? We came from Germany and paid for everything we ordered. We just wanted to pay and leave earlier because they ruined our evening! From the beginning we were badly served and waited too long. We wanted to have a good time there but instead we had awful food and faced discrimination, rude attitude and getting personal. The person who spoke to us seems to be an owner of this place because "he makes the rules". In italian place they said that they cook polish food. If so I guess Italian dishes should be removed from the menu. Food is not tasty at all, it feels like it was cooked long time ago and just warmed up. Pizza is really bad. Pasta is bad! Chicken is super dry. Even tiramisu was awful. Waiting time is around 40-60 mins. Chairs are not comfortable.

I was quite famished by the time we arrived after the early start, all the walking and being on my feet most of the day. I ended up going for a Green Salad (9 PLN) and Pasta Amatriciana with tagliatelle (20 PLN). The pasta was nice and had a good kick with the spice in it and very filling with the portion they gave me. The green salad was not quite my cup of tea as there was quite a few herbs in it, however the selection of greens did look fresh so it was more a personal preference of not liking the greens included in it. K had the calzone (26 PLN) and enjoyed it, she managed to finish the entire thing and was stuffed by the end of it. The service at the restaurant was outstanding. The staff were always on hand to top up our wine glasses without hassle or interrupting our meal. They were friendly and gave us time to digest to see if we could fit in some dessert, sadly we could not. On the way out of the restaurant we had a quick chat with the two waiters and they were a pleasure to talk with.

Worst restaurant in Krakow food is of poor quality and service well their isn't any This restaurant is overpriced and food is horrible The chilli oil dispenser was greasy and dirty and my calzone pizza was disgusting. It tasted like cardboard yuh There are far better eateries in Krakow This is not the one to go to stay away If I could have left zero stars I would have You have been warned
