Our stay, of 5 nights, at il cannito was the epitome of relaxation.||The Gorga family has managed to offer its Guests a perfect blend of a natural environment with a modern chic twist. Their warmth & kindness made you feel part of their family. ||The main house, with its panoramic terrace, original art and carefully chosen furniture draws you in immediately. The dining room is dominated by a beautiful photograph, taken by one of your hosts, the talented Antonella Gorga.||There are only 4 rooms. We choose the Sun room, with its private deck with a view of the sunset.||We spent days relaxing by the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the Paestum hillside onto the sea.||Mornings started with wonderful delicious breakfasts with homemade cakes, freshly picked fruits, hazelnuts from the “backyard” trees, fresh juice, jams & cappuccinos, with eggs always on offer. And of course, Antonella’s sunny smile.||We chose to “eat at home” every night and were treated to varied & unique menus prepared & served by the charming Nicola, who also suggested excellent wine pairings for each meal. The setting on the terrace with Paestum's ruins, Capri & the Amalfi coast lights twinkling in the distance was incredible. ||Another highlight was spending a day at Mare E Mirtilli, their amazing beachfront property, with their sister Santa. Fantastico! Not to be missed!||The Cilento coast is a beautiful area of sea, natural parks & charming towns scattered throughout. ||Our hosts made wonderful recommendations for day trips, which included the Paestum ruins, Tenuta Vannulo – the buffalo farm and Santomiele – the fig laboratorium. They also made great suggestions for restaurants in the surrounding towns.||Tranquility & positive energy surrounds il cannito. The perfect blend for a perfect holiday.
