Il Capri Hotel

Surprised to read the negative reviews here - really have to say, a wonderful location, a great staff and fantastic room. It's a very different approach for Capri - decidedly on the "cooler" and "concept" side of things, but that's a very welcomed addition to the island. The location is incredibly convenient and from arrival to each meal, the staff has been incredible - attentive, friendly and helpful. Very much recommend if you're looking for something akin to The Standard or The Edition hotels (design-centric, more contemporary approach, etc.). If you'd like a classic "grande dame hotel" - this it not it, but they're absolutely not marketing themselves at that either. Very much recommend - a wonderful choice and would happily come back!

As part of a trip through Italy we booked a 2 night stay here but had to make late amendments as our infant daughter became ill and joined us on our trip. All accommodations bar Il Capri helped us either amend or cancel our bookings – many booked under the same terms. Il Capri hid behind their policies advising they would not check us in if we arrived and refused to cancel our booking. They took our money and ran leaving us having to source emergency accommodation with a sick infant. They became threatening when challenged. ||I would not recommend based on how they treated me and my family and would advise them to learn from their peers.

Very beautiful hotel with the most gorgeous views of Capri. We loved the rooftop pool and bar areas. Location is excellent just a short walk to Capri town, where you will find all the shops, restaurants and transportation. Unfortunately one staff member made my mother and I feel very unwelcome, we were chased up the stairs of our hotel and accused by a staff member (women with light brown hair) that we were not guests of the hotel. She made us prove we were staying there. Never in my life have a paid this much for a hotel and been treated this way. Also did not appreciate that the room was filled with hotel merchandise that cost extra, there was no where to place my things as the merchandise took up half the room. I was afraid to move anything as I did not want to get charged extra.

To say we loved this hotel would be an understatement. From the second we arrived we were blown away by the property as well as the staff. This hotel was absolutely gorgeous, and the views were unbeatable. The staff was incredible and took such amazing care of us. Breakfast every morning was delicious, and apertivo on the rooftop was perfect. We can’t recommend this hotel enough! We will be back.

Absolutely mediocre service. They claim it’s a 5 star hotel, however it felt as if it was a 3 star hotel. They make you at for every single little thing. They charge you 15 euro to bring up room service on top of the charge of the food or drink. 15 euro delivery fee for room service. Absoleutly unique and strange. No amenities what do ever, not even a body lotion or a mini size anything, but they have a mini bar in the bathroom full of products for sale and purchase. They forget to clean parts of the room properly and when you tell them to do it they speak extremely rudely to you like they are doing you a favor. The absoleutly mini closet that is half full for products for sale is ridicuslous. Not even a room slipper they provide, and especially when the floor hurts your foot if walked bear foot. They rave about the breakfast but it’s completely mediocre. Shockingly rude staff that lie completely about everything you try and argue. Worst experience of my life for a 600+ euro a night in Capri.

Very unsatisfactory. Room did not haveTV, Refrigerator, coffee stand, mini-bar . Carpet was visibly stained in multiple places, decor was something from either a French red light district and junk yard. Staff made you feel as though you would be charged for everything a la cart. Breakfast was limited. We left after 2 nights of a pre paid 4 night stay. Needless to say the hotel would not give a penny back. Horrible experience.

Advertised as 5 Star Delivered 2 Star. No TV, refrig, minibar, coffee in room. Stained carpets and lumpy mattress. Mgmt was uncooperative in refunding our prepaid money and we still left with 2 nights remains on our reservation. Very limited breakfast option when advertising breakfast included. Decor was tacky too. Having said this the views are excellent.

Best place we stayed on our trip. Rooftop pool had incredible views and breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Great service top down.
