"Feast on wood-fired pizza and filled pastas There comes a time for everyone on a Cambodia trip when, no matter how much you're enjoying sampling the local food, you'll get a craving you need to satisfy. Fortunately, Siem Reap has an abundance of restaurants serving cuisines from around the globe, and many of them are very good. Filling pastas are fantastic if you've been cycling or scrambling the temples all day and a plain Margarita pizza is a terrific choice if you've been a tad sick in the tummy. Of Siem Reap's handful of Italian restaurants, I love Il Forno, on a narrow alley off Pub Street, just down the lane from Asana and around the corner from Miss Wong. The pizzas come piping hot from the traditional Neapolitan wood-fired oven and many of the handmade pastas are made fresh daily on the premises. While some of the products, such as the Parma ham, are imported from Italy (as you'd hope!), others are local and seasonal, like the beautiful fragrant basil. They also offer decent Italian wines by the glass and carafe. Check the blackboard for daily specials. If you can't get a table, I also like Little Italy on the parallel lane on the other side of Pub Street. The specialty there is their excellent carpaccio and house-made charcuterie."
We had a great meal at Il Forno! It was a very friendly atmosphere and wonderful service. Our food (tagliatelle bolognese and pesto and ricotta tortellini in tomato sauce) was delicious and so fresh, very authentic. Would highly recommend ◡̈

I lived in Italy for 7 years and this restaurant reminds me of it.
The pizza bite was very nostalgic. The taste is the same as being in Italy.
It's also not very expensive for a foreign food restaurant.
The staff is very nice and speaks English quite well. The owner is Italian a very pleasant surprise indeed.
I love the Italian music and the arrangement of the restaurant.

Amazing experience in Siem Reap. Had a light dinner at Il forno. Ordered burattata, and Pizza half and half (Fungi and Salsiccia). First of all, burattata was superb. Very mild and milky. Combination of avocado was amazing. My feeling was already "wanna visit here again" even I hadn't finished any dishes yet. Second was pizza. Very authentic. crispy and taste decent. In Siem Reap, Khmer or Italian? Mmmmm. Italian, Il forno is the place to go.

This is the BEST pizza restaurant in all of Cambodia. I’ve been to dozens of legitimate pizza restaurants, including Romano’s and a few others in PP and SR.
We ordered the medium prosciutto pizza and the medium parma ham pizza.
All the ingredients were FRESH. The crust is superb and cooked PERFECTLY, not burnt/crunchy and also not doughy at all. Just amazing pizza overall, and the medium was honestly larger than what I have come to expect from other restaurants.
Sadly I had breakfast so I didn’t have enough room to enjoy their pasta, but you can bet I will definitely be back for that!

Il Forno is a cute little Italian-inspired restaurant that offers a cozy dining experience. Although the space is on the smaller side, there’s ample seating available, and the menu provides a good variety of options to choose from.
We ordered the Tortelli with Ricotta and Pesto, as well as the Lasagna. Both dishes were tasty, but the Tortelli could have been even better with the option of some Parmesan cheese. The Lasagna, while enjoyable, didn’t quite have the rich tomato and herb flavors we expected from a traditional lasagna.
On the plus side, the staff were friendly and attentive, making for an overall pleasant dining experience. If you're looking for a quaint spot with solid Italian dishes, Il Forno is worth a visit.
