Il Gambero Rosso Vernazza

We went to Vernazza on a rainy day and in order to get out the rain, we just picked this place because it was right by the ferry. We ended up having a lovely meal here. The pesto was delicious and the wine was strong and the service was good. We wouldn't hesitate to come back here if we were in Vernazza again.

This place was fantastic. It is super busy and right near the waterfront. At the time, they only had 2 servers working out of 5 but still did an exceptional job. I had the lobster pasta and my husband had pasta in walnut cream sauce, both were delicious.

Great place to eat in Vernezza ! We had a great experience at Il Gambero Rosso, we came early (12:30 pm) so didnt have to wait for our table. Food was excellent (Gnocchi al Pesto in the picture). Atmosphere is great under the umbrellas, it keeps us fresh. Only disadvantage is tables are close to eachother and there is a lot of people.

This was one of our favorite restaurants in Italy! We went to 8 different cities and the food and service here were some of the best we have ever experienced! Andrea was our server and was nothing short of the best! His happiness is contagious!

The waiter was a busy and efficient worker. I must agree that he deserves an extra hand to help him. The pesto was a marvellous surprise and the place needs no further references. I may have another pesto before I leave Vernazza in a couple of days. Well done! They would be able to offer a better house wine though.

The food was really good! We really enjoyed our dinner, thank you 😊 The products were fresh, the dishes tasty and they have good proportions. The service was fast, impeccable and really friendly. The dining experience was nice here at Gambero Rosso. The food was very good, minus the John Dory fish. The risotto had great flavors and their signature pasta with zucchini was also excellent. The view is also very nice, and they cannot control how many people are around, but it is a very busy location.

We had to go twice it was so good! Dinner, then lunch the next day. Best meals we could have asked for. Its beautiful to sit outside by the water with a view, the servers were friendly and the food was just amazing. I went here 5 years ago and it was delicious then as well. Thank you!
